My initial plan was just to book an airbnb near Makati but after reading through some listings it seems getting guests into the building could be an issue, a number of listings outright say no guests allowed in the building.

Is this common and is it enforced? And is a hotel a much better bet than an Airbnb? Will be working remotely while in Manila so prefer an airbnb for desk + wifi but if no guests I'll go hotel.
I just booked in Jmmsuites in Malate. No problem with guests. Neither is Bayview suites. There are a swag of condos around Mall of Asia. Most of hotels in Malate have no issues with visitors.

So I am making it a point to pick girl at la cafe! For freelancer at Robinson? Never have any success in terms of quality!

    Airbnb vs Hotel

Manila Soon to start my mongering habit

After more than 3 and half years of COVID19, start to make traveling again and so excited first stop in the Philippines. Have booked Palm hotel, first time to this hotel so not sure how it will be, will report back once by then. Previously I always stay at New World but now they change to another name like new coast something.

Anyway, try to contact some gal at dating site and one quote me Php 7,000 which I think way too high? Much wonder how is the market prices these days with those girls at La Cafe for ST & LT as well as those freelancer in Robinson place?

Will definitely try this time those massage parlors along the side of Robinson in Pedro gil plus those Karoke along Mabini street.

    Cheers,

    MD.

It's still OK but gradually degrading the way they do in Manila. These days I'm happy to pay the extra for City Garden Grand or I'm. Still enjoy a beer at Cubana though, and some of the food isn't bad.

Not the best hotel rooms. Seems clean but lots of noise from outside. Pretty basic hotel. I stayed there just for the day during long layover. Set breakfast not good. Location is good on mabini. Close to LA cafe, Robinson. Very girlfriendly. I had my previous girl stay with me. Next table there was a westerner with a ladyboy during breakfast. He / She tried her best to act like a girl. Not sure if the guy knew the real situation.

I have stayed in City Garden Suites many times. I have brought back many girls from the LA Cafe and never had a problem. They have started to require the girls ID. A few years ago that was pretty much optional.

    Go for it

Bro its a great place to stay. Take the larger room. I have stayed there twice and its amazing. They will not bother you with anything. Only sometimes (depends on how the girl is dressed) may ask for the girls ID. Else no fuss.

Thanks for your info Rocinha. I've seen RB in passing and wondered about it. It looks good from what I've seen on YouTube. I like that it's on top of Cubana too. I've eaten at Filling station many times and loved it. Not too picky with my food. I'll look into the RB.

Last year stayed at Oxford after many other stays, but this time room smelled funny and sheets were not clean upon check in.

    Any help appreciated.

Prez Suite at the Fields Plaza is $500 so its a $1000 night to remember.

Looks like a great time was had by all.

    Why wasn't I invited?? 😜.

    Enjoy. G.

P.S. For those with slightly shallower pockets, the 2 bed suites all have jacuzzis but not on that scale.
