Best time usually is the night shift. If you want the day shift go early in the day and if you want to the night shift go early in the evening to have the girls when they are fresh and not tired. For soapies its better to add them on line because they will post girls that are working everyday and you can book one instead of the whole awkward lineup they do. Massage shops like in soi 24/1 I just go blindly and go in the first shop that calls me over. I had nothing but great experiences in soi 24/1 it's highly recommended. In my opinion its not worth it to go to the super expensive places. I've never been there because I'm satisfied with my Bangkok routine that I never thought about going to one. I might go once in the future if I had the funds just for experince but I don't think it's something you should do everyday.

I partially disagree with GrapeMan, not all massage shops include sex with customers. If the door fee is in the 200 to 500 baht range, it is strictly for massage. Often sex is available for extra money.

If they are charging 1800 or more, it includes some form of sex.

Just to be clear -- I am specifically talking about MPs, not actual places for massages. Sorry if that was confusing. Yes 1800+ are the brothels/MPs, the 300 baht places are for actual massages.

In my experience in Bangkok, most of the shops masquerade as actual massage shops and you negotiate the "extras" with the lady in the room. Some of the shops have a menu outside. And in some of those, it is explicit. Massage, massage with handjob, massage with blowjob, massage full service. Those are essentially brothels, but many of the ladies can actually give a good massage, too.

Six or seven years ago, there was a place on Sukhumvit Soi 22 or 24 with the name "Miss BJ. " Walking by, I had to see their menu which was outside. As I was perusing it while talking to the owner, she told me that if I asked for a massage with extra service up front, I paid the house, and the lady would get half. If I asked for a simple oil massage paid the house, the lady would get half. Then I could negotiate for extra service directly with the lady in the room, and she would then get all of whatever we negotiated. Came back later, saw the owner again, and had a really good massage and very erotic session with her. Repeated with her the next night. I doubt that this is how things work now. I just go have fun and leave the details to someone else.

MP prices are all inclusive at MPs for whatever the girl is willing to do. One fee, that's all it costs. The massage parlors that are for sex are for sex, not massage. These are brothels, they just don't officially call it one. Don't be under any assumption otherwise. If you're at a sex MP, the place is for sex.

Tulip, is a PSE place, that means you get a lot, including A+. 102 massage is probably just standard service. If you want something special at 102 like A+ ask before you choose a girl as only some will. Rarely at places that aren't known for PSE or A+, the girl may ask for a little extra fee if you want the booty.

You never ever have to tip an MP girl. Never required. You can if you want. You are not expected to and it is not required, but you can. Something like 300 baht is fine. I ultra rarely tip. It is not expected or required. Some older board members like tipping because they like giving these girls money, some want to do it because they are long time repeat customers and want to keep it up. For you as a tourist, hit it and quit it.
