I've been to Philippines a bunch of times and have never had any issues with extortion. Not saying it couldn't happen, but the chances are low. I would trust your gut instinct.

Supposed to be leaving Manila this weekend to spend 2+ weeks elsewhere but haven't booked anything and toying with the idea of staying here as I can't imagine the dating apps are as hot in Cebu or wherever as they are here.

I've often described Cebu as the online capital of PI. However, the quality is definitely better in MNL. Hot girls naturally gravitate to where the money and jobs are. Cebu can also take a day or so for a newbie to find his feet. If you have established a pipeline in MNL, it may be better to stay there untill the fun runs out (likely never) or you become bored and want to see something different.

I think your basic point is right but frankly, white guys are kind of irrelevant in SE Asia now. We're no longer a substantial market -- mostly Asians now, especially Chinese -- and so we're of no particular interest, unless we act like total dicks.

Two sides of that coin:

1) There is some truth to that. A few nights ago one of my gals came for an overnight. There was no evening joy, I just wasn't in the mood. After dinner I told her to count on one round in the morning. An hour later we were watching Netflix in bed when she waltzed to the CR to pee. She came out of the CR asking if I had any pads; her period had just started. She seemed surprised, saying she was about 2 days early. Too late to send her home. She made me a nice breakfast in the morning, did the dishes, did some general tidying up, and went home with the usual prize without any substantive performance. This is life, and she returns later this week.

2) In the case of the girl pictured, there is no rhyme or reason to her period.
