I am going out for Holidays but am not sure which one to choose, the traveling cost for me is high if I go to Bali, Lower if I go to Jalarta and Lowest if I go to Cambodia. Good idea to skip Kimochi Mabes. I only visited once and my feedback is:

+ This is a high volume place and the locals are primary Customers.
+ You have to choose a girl by looking at photographs; I hate this.
+ The girl I choose was polite. But she was firm on her rules: no fingering, condom required, no french kissing etc etc.

While I don't disagree with your points, actually my experience there was fairly positive still (note: dating back to, I want to say 2015 or so though). I had deliberately chosen the then famous "Number 33", who was known primarily for her voluminous breasts. The service in general was decent, but not great, but she did enthusiastically demand a finish on those breasts and did not disappoint in making that happen.

However, as mentioned all of your points in my experience are valid -and there are of course plenty of similar choices in Jakarta. For my next visit I will be focusing on Kelapa Gading area for similar establishments.

Not sure about Kartika nowadays, last time I visited pre-covid the women may have had teenage children or adults (not babies!) going by the age of some working there. It never stopped me going there however, your many posts of the place and Cynthia encouraged me to visit there in the first place. Was my favorite place for many years. I agree about the girls from Indramayu. In fact if I ever asked where they came from that was the answer in most cases.

I visited Kartika in the spring of 2018 for the first time since 2009, many of the girls from those days were still working there and surprisingly remembered me and greeted me by name.

Luckily I was pretty fluent in Bahasa by that time, good since the driver spoke no English, so I was able to have a decent conversation. Took a ton of photos and gave Cynthia's mother 2 million rupiah for the 3-year-old son, took a full family portrait and a photo of Cynthia's framed photo which was on the wall. I then walked over to her gravesite to take pictures.

Back in Jakarta, I brought my laptop with me to my next visit to Kartika and spent the first 30 minutes showing my photos to the ladies in 3 different groups and answering their questions (luckily it was mid-afternoon and there weren't a lot of customers). Cynthia had worked at Kartika for over 3 years and had been close with many of the girls, so I apparently bought a lot of goodwill from making that visit. I also received some nice comments here on ISG although that's not why I posted about my visit.

Hi guys, I was mongering a little bit in Jakarta, Bali, Lombok, and most of time in Dolly (Surabaya red light district), but never come back to the country when they closed Dolly in 2014. I will be going to Jakarta to visit family in August and have really enjoyed reading all the reviews. Definitely going to check out hotel classic and may even brave the train tracks at some point. Got a fair few promising matches on tinder too.

Having just booked my flights to Jakarta for the first time in 5 years the "holiday buzz" is just kicking in (despite still being about 2 months away) and reading through a few of the last pages brings back fond memories from exploits of the past.

It is good to see that it seems while obviously time may take its toll and some things have changed, that the city remains a hidden gem if you know how to navigate its challenges. In previous visits / stays my main "hunting grounds" ended up to be Classic, the occasional massage joint (tried Puri Sehat a few times, Kimochi Mabes, Orchardz etc.) and the occasional visit to BATS / CJs.

P.S.: a sincere thank you to the regular contributors in this thread. While I do consider myself as reasonably knowledgeable (even though far from some of the esteemed members) of the scene in Jakarta this level of contribution brings back memories and was one (of many) reasons why I chose to spend some extra time in the Big Durian again.

Nice report! Sorry to hear about your bad luck with the BBFS and the saggy old hangers. OS can confirm that BBFS is alive and well in Jakarta and you must have lucked out. Classic is not a place OS has had much luck with the no condom trick but there's plenty else out there, possibly a little more down market but be assured, there's plenty of girls out there as smoking hot or better than the models at Malioboro with none of the attitude, who will very happily accommodate your needs.

Like you, The extra long shower is often a sign for OS the rest of the booking isn't going to go well, Cleverly, you maximized the value of your diminishing experience and snapped a pic so boo hoo for her.

The taxi parking one is a little complicated, Taxi's often pay to get in the line up at places like Malioboro / Classic and so want to recuperate their outlay. They used to have little mafias at all those places where you would get in the taxi and the driver would hold up some fingers but the advent of grab / uber has kind of ended that.

But overall great work, OS enjoys reading reports like these that detail the nuts and bolts of getting laid and the fails that are just part of mongering life.

Classic has always been my favorite for their straight to the business atmosphere. Good selection too. Emporium could be hit or miss. Try king Cross next time. Slightly cheaper joint than Malioboro. I never liked Malioboro and I don't think I ever will just because of their want to be upscale and rip people off setup. I preferred Alexis but that's long gone.

Travel is another decent setup though last time I was there, collection wasn't as good as I was expecting.

I had a quick trip to Philippines and that's changing too. Prices are going up and quality is declining. New trend that I came across among non-pros, they would take 3 k php just to hangout with you and drink and if they like you, they will spread their legs. Can't say all those php and uncertainty worth the whole BS but then others must be footing the bills or else why would they keep at it.

I retired from Thailand simply because of the flat chest and tiny bubble but why not go for a change. Might venture land of Sabai Dii in future.

I just scratched the surface but had a very good time all things considered. I would recommend Jakarta to somebody in Pattaya who got burned out and needed something new. It's a decent scene- the downsides being that it's a bit hidden away and not all in one area / street, the upsides being some very hot girls and decent prices. I can neither confirm or disconfirm any theses about BBFSCIP as my sample size of 3 was too small although it's not looking good. The rest of my trip was spent enjoying other scenic areas of Indonesia, which I enjoyed, but I'm glad to be back in Pattaya, which feels like civilization to me. I've lost a few pounds because Indonesian portion sizes are so small and I did not drink alcohol at all although I ended up sick with a cold.
