The to my knowledge current P4P situation in Shanghai is:

Massage places: mostly down, they couldn't survive the 3 year China strict Covid pandemic, no one in this industry who were selling flesh could due to the GPS, lockdown, policing back then in terms of contact etc which felt a bit george orwelly at some point. However if you walk around in the old places such as Jia Shan / shanxi / yuyuan / haifang road in the city center areas or the hongqiao / gubei areas and try to look into massage places that are more rundown and shady you will get be able to get a handy for a fee. Quality pretty low though. Prices really vary from the package you select to girl. 300-2000. hit.

Saunas: tbh I see and her advertisements for sauna but Iam not sure they truly exist and due to the LE nature Iam not trusting to test it. Prices from 800-1200 is often advertised and I don't believe that is a valid pricing in the current market for saunas so I don't want to try. But there's enough ads for it that, if you follow some of my above posts you can also find it.

Hi, I have been to Shanghai before covid last time, so I'm thinking that the situation has changed a lot. I will be for two days of business in November, does anyone suggest me a good P4 P sauna or spa place? Better in Pudong Area o Nanpu. Thanks.

Given the length of your stay and what you're looking for, J and M are probably your only viable P4 P options, and those places are not what they once were, both in terms of choice and value for money. If you're a young good looking guy like you say you are, you could try picking up a normal girl at la suite as you mentioned, or Revolucion 2 minutes walk from there, or one of the bars / clubs down at Found 158, but long gone are the days of young pretty Chinese ladies falling over themselves to go home with a foreigner a couple of hours after meeting them. Still, if you're out in those places, why not give it a go.

I am just ending a 3 week trip here to see my Shanghai girlfriend for the first time since the epidemic. Besides the obvious good time it seems a little barren now. The streets are cleaned up. Not that I miss the beggars and touts. I tried the expat bars. I have to recommend the double burger at The Shed. Not just big but really good tasting. I was skeptical about the new Judy's but I went last night. The band was really good as you expect from Filipino bands. Nice to see Jimmy, the guitarist from Malone's. As others have mentioned, given your time constraints, your options are a bit limited. There are a couple of shops on Lancun Road opposite the Hilton Pudong, but they're not so near PVG, about 20-30 min by taxi. I was doing some jobs in that area a couple of years ago, and at that time I think it was around 400-500 for an hour oil massage which included a standard HJ by a late 30's average looking provider in normal unsexy uniform. However, as it's been a couple of years since I was last in that area, I don't know if the shops or services are still the same.

Thanks. I have read through recent posts but it looks a lot more challenging in Shanghai these days and given my time constraint I need to set a target location and go for it. So I was really just asking what might be logistically the best option. I do of course note the other reply to my original question that my layover isn't long enough. In the past I would have headed to one of the spas in the airport hotels for a rub and tug but I'm not sure if this is still an option.

Most likely a scam I would say, as I have heard of fake providers taking 200 rmb deposits and then disappearing. Remember that 200 rmb is still a fair amount of money to some in China in these less desirable economic times, and so to them it's worth the hustle.

It is not just your 200 it is 200 multiplied by number of victims per day or week. Even one victim per day equals 6000 per month.

Despite the fact that I'd spent time exchanging messages, arranging the visit, traveling there etc. There was no way I was transferring any money on WeChat. Case closed.

While I was on the way she asked me to transfer 200 RMB up front on WeChat, to confirm I was coming. I said that I only pay in cash and that there are too many scams involving WeChat payment. I posted a photo showing that I was only a couple of metro stops away. She replied and said that if I couldn't make the WeChat transfer, another monger was waiting and could make the upfront payment. I insisted that I only pay cash (by this point I was just round the corner from her place). She then said the other guy just paid the deposit and that she'll take him instead, so that was it.
