VN is Vietnamese, and TG is the Telegram app, which, despite needing a VPN, the Chinese have been using it for mongering (or 'driving' as they call it, lol) for at least a couple of years now. It's useful for finding naughty MPs and freelancers, but you have to put the work in (everything is in Chinese) and know how to detect the fake stuff, scams, etc. It's probably a bit too much to navigate for someone who's only here for a couple of nights.

You're right that Shanghai has changed a lot in the last few years, but there's still plenty of fun to be had, things just work more discretely these days.

Back to Shanghai again after 5 years.

Found a completely different city. Not what it used to be.

MP in Hongqiao area, not far away from Bellagio restaurant. 2 MP in the same building, tried one.

Although saunas were shut down years ago, I have seen a couple advertised on TG. Seems shady and quite expensive compared with the old saunas, so I won't be trying anytime soon. And though I don't have any precise addresses, there are massage places in the Pudong / Nanpu areas offering HJ if you pick the right one.
