Probably easier to grab a taxi from your hotel rather than trying to get back to Don Muong and catch one from there. If there's a conference, hopefully taxis will be waiting around. Getting back, especially late at night, might be slightly problematic, no return fare. But, TIT, so a bit of extra should get you there. Last year, had to take a ride to the Thai Airways office out near the airport and it was around 300 baht and that was morning rush hours. Back in the day, I'd tell the driver "expressway" and I'd pay the tolls, but depending on the time, maybe not that much of an issue.

It does seem that the BTS Red Line goes to the airport (but then, you'd have to get to the airport), with a change to other lines to get to Nana or Asoke (Cowboy), and it does stop at midnight. NO personal experience, just google.

There is the Grab app, ride hailing, but I've never used.

Sure there is some marginal prospects out there, but I'd suggest hitting the bright lights.

If you haven't been, I'd definitely hit Sakura Akasuri up on Soi 55, short walk from Thong Lo BTS station (also Tulip). Vasu exchange right down Nana BTS station has very good rates on average.

There is also the exchange located between soi 18 and Exchange tower, on occasions they can even beat Vasu a little bit (at least for Euros).

My wingman and I have been going to Bangkok for 10 days every January for about 10 years. We were big fans of Insanity as it had a nice balance of non-pros (of both sexes), semi-pros and a few hardcore girls. Neither of us are big drinkers, but nevertheless, we were able to reliably pull some FL girls from these bars / discos whenever we went. I should mention that we are both "mature", and while neither of us is fat (we both run 20-30 miles per week) or particularly ugly, no one would mistake us for being less than 60. We do fine, for example, on Thaifriendly or Tinder using our real photographs, so we are not that far over the hill, LOL.

In any case, Insanity has shut down, as has been documented here. Indeed, I was in BKK twice already this year and it is definitely shut down and does not look ready to reopen! There are articles on the internet saying it was busted for not paying attention to COVID rules. It won't open again until 2025 (which probably means it is closed forever).

We tried Mixx back in May, and the crowd was younger than I remembered. Most of the girls were not P4 P. Nice eye candy, but nothing for us to take home.
