Sorry, you are wrong on this one. MTY slows down dramatically for the holidays. Now if you have a roster of about 10 chicks you will not have an issue. Newbies will be very disappointed. LOL I'm more offended by the thought that the hustle suddenly stops for holidays. In Monterrey, money never sleeps. The only times I know that the places close, yes massage parlors, is on Christmas Eve in the evening and Christmas Day. Plus the same for new years.

Mexico is a devote Catholic driven nation.

-Christmas is the western hemisphere's Mecca pilgrimage.

-Paisanos (blue collar working travelers) travel home into Mexico via Texas 1-2 weeks leading up to Christmas weekend. Expect high chance of delays on Texas side of Interstate 35 attempting to enter Mexico. I have never done it first hand but have heard close friends see the line backing up 5 miles north of the core of Laredo.

Similar situation in McAllen going into Reynosa.

-the 1-2 weeks after Christmas, the Paisanos begin heading home to Wisconsin / Minnesota / Ohio / Canada etc. Expect vehicle line on Mex side to be a several hours long wait, some times over 12 hours.

-As far as Monterrey, many people including WG head home to their rural / farm province roots to be with family for a few weeks. Monterrey hobby scene will be a ghost town.

Here are some adventures after the past month's trips. Choose wisely.
