Locals pay about 1 dollar to take a publico (shared taxi) to Sosua. There are also some UBER in PP. Will be less then 20 bucks. Plenty of cabs in Sosua or use the Publico service in front of Texeco station for 10 bucks for whole car or 50 pesos for single seat. Any girl you pick up can tell you where short term rooms are. There is also a short term motel (cabana) type called Dulce Secreto. 20 bucks for four hours. Depending on what day you arrive Baileys is an excellent pickup spot. Always decent ladies waiting for action. On weekends the beach see an be a good pickup spot. Baileys is probably the best spot for quick good action.

So getting a publico from Sosua to PP is 500 pesos for the whole car, pick up at the Texaco station? That seem like a good deal. Can you explain the scene at Bailey's a little more? I've eaten there but wasn't looking for it. Are they hanging at the bar? Outside?

I hope you like relaxing on the beach, and reading a good book. That is the main thing to do when not meeting girls. Also, lots of good food in Sosua, in my opinion. Lots of European expats with good restaurants. And good local food, too. I'll be there 12/27-1/7, if you want to meet. I plan to go golfing a few times at Playa Dorado nearby. And maybe a day trip to Santiago. You can hire a guy to drive you for a day trip for around $100 or less. Took a day trip to Playa Grande one time. It was fun. Might also spend a day in Puerto Plata.

That sounds good, I'll be down. Cat rental instead of cab? I heard for around 50 bucks you can get a little compact type car.

16 days is a long time in Sosua but you can make most of your time using buses Ubers and airbnbs to see other cities without breaking the bank. Buses can take you to any city for under 10 dollars. Uber service is great in SD and Santiago. If you meet a girl you like wifer up for few days. Visit Boca chica and Punta Cana for alternative action. The DR is more then Sosua fun can be had all over the island. Week day pickings in Sosua are a little slim but you only need one winner and there are more then enough for a shagging.

I'm going to sosua in January to cross it off my bucket list. I learned Spanish over the years and I'm pretty fluent in Latin Spanish. Reading through some of the posts I was concerned about mid week game in town, is it possible to still have a good time Monday to Thursdays or there isn't any chicas around? I'm planing to stay for 16 days total in sosua, and I've already paid for my hotel room and it's not refundable. I'm hoping I won't get bored staying there for 16 days! LOL.

I will be there for three months starting January (go every year) but have never played golf on the North coast because I always figured it cost too much. How much would a person expect to pay for 18 holes with a cart?

Playa Dorado is about $100. Maybe a little bit more nowadays. Also pay about $50 total for taxi back and forth. One year I went the course was in outstanding condition. Another year I went, it was in piss poor condition. Hoping it's in decent shape this year.

Hearing shit like this makes me super paranoid about bringing a girl back to my room. I have so many hot chicks on my tinder. On one hand I am watching youtube videos and guys are saying you can pull a girl off the street just by having good convo and may be able to get "free" GFE. However they can always come back to the room and change their mind and demand money. I'm caught in the middle. To me the rookie mistake was trying to give her 3,000 pesos without her asking. You could have said you thought she was a regular chick looking for a relationship and did not know she was a hooker. Then you could have gone with the 3,000. If she then asked for 6 you could have said I would never agree to give a chick 6000 for 3 hours when the security guy is only making 10,000 for one month. Next time you need to tell somebody up front that you expect money. Then they can skip the romantic stuff and go straight to fucking.

I assume Playa Dorada will be much more $$$ than Thailand.

As for ladies Sunday to Thursday, there are plenty in Sosua but you have to look for them. The massage places can have some nice looking ladies and in my experience many will give you their number and meet up with you later when they are not working. Also many of the bars have one or two ladies drinking alone in the evenings, you just need to get out of the down town area to find them. In my experience there is plenty of opportunity Sun-Thur but for sure the population almost doubles from Thursday afternoon to Sunday morning.

16 days! Bro, the answer is yes. You're going to get bored. Apart from the beach, Sosua is 4 blocks long. Dassit! Its going to look like there's different chicas there every night. No, look closer, its the same girls just with a different outfit and wig. You're going to need a girlfriend. The 3 day type. As soon as she starts complaining about her kids and life, show her the door and get another one. Try to get a Tinderoni from Puerto Plata proper or further west, not Sosua! Just tell her you heard the beach was nice and you got a place but there's too many working girls there (yuck! LOL). A regular girl will not want to come to The Sue. Convince her, you can do it! Never let her bring a friend to your place, that may be a setup. So many little things but you are not a rookie. Its just going to be shocking to see how easy it is there in comparison to the other places you been to. Everybody minds their business cause it no big deal there! Take a cab to Cabarete or Puerto Plata for a day, eat lunch, chill on those beaches too. Stay safe, have fun.

Santa Fe is pretty damned scary and no one has ever called me feint of heart.

Santa Fe does look pretty dodgy, you have to be street smart and know Spanish to be aware of you surrounding. But if you can handle that it's a great fun, I have been there many times and it's always a blast.
