I have returned to Pattaya. Things are still relatively quiet, most ladies are still hungry for customers. I got a Bolt taxi in 3 minutes.

We are still not in High Season.

There isn't going to be a high season like 1999. Those days are over BRO.

..... Now, after 2 hours and many drinks later, the first girl comes back and sits down beside me when my girl had left for the toilet. She says she really likes me and wants to go with me now......

She and that girl you were with are not friends. She was only too happy to take that opportunity to take you away from her. It would have been embarrassing for that girl to see you with her when she came from the toilet. She lost a customer to the sneaky girl who would have been smiling from ear to ear in her mind.

I agree with you on this point. I am just saying that guys should not get so upset when they walk into a bar and get pressured to buy drinks. That's all. Buy or don't buy. It's up to you.

We agree. I do support the bars ina big way but I am a decent drinker most of the time and like to socialize with the girls at different bars. Mainly Soi 6 establishmkents and when they are too meh IO walk across to the Queen Victoria for a Guinness.

Been back almost a week and it is QUIET. Soi 6 is 5-6 girls to a punter most nights I've seen.

I am really pissed off with myself. I have been in Pattaya a few days now and really enjoying myself. However last night I was on the baht bus and at one stage a Thai guy stepped on the back of the baht bus. At first he stood at the back but later he asked me to move up a bit so he could also sit down. I could feel his leg against my leg and at that stage all the alarm bells should have been ringing. But I have never had any bad experience in Pattaya whatsoever (OK, maybe sometimes bad luck with a girl, but that's all in the game), so I wasn't suspecting anything at all. It was only after I had got off the bus and a few minutes later that I noticed my wallet was gone (with 10 thousand baht). I was really annoyed with myself, I thought that would never happen to me.

But luckily when I go out, I only have money and a card with hotel name in my wallet. So the loss was only money. And I also keep a copy of my passport in another pocket (which is always closed).

This is a warning for everybody everywhere, always be careful when someone gets too friendly with you.

The first thing I did after that was get more money and I still had a good time that night. I made a mistake but life goes on, so I accepted my loss.

It's not smart to carry your wallet in your pocket. I use a sachel that I keep my phone and wallet in and it always stays around my neck and in front of me.

That happened to me about 10 years ago.

The songthaew was relatively empty. Then a large group, one chubby girl (the hand), one young guy, and about 6 girls got in. They surrounded me, and the chubby girl asked me to move.

That should have set the alarm bells off. No Thai would ask a tourist to move. I don't believe it's in their culture. Correct?

Luckily, I lost only several hundred baht. I was just about to go to the ATM to reload.

At that time, Schwab would only mail the debit card to my home address; no hotel delivery (Is it still the same?). But it was no big deal since I always carry 3 sets (credit and debit cards) when I travel.

1. Why are you carrying a wallet? 2. Why are you walking around with 10,000 baht? 3. I do not think I have ever seen a Thai guy on a baht bus.

I then started to ask what a girl wanted for ST and was pleasantly surprised getting offers lower than 1500. For these lower offers I'd counter 1500 with the caveat that a facial or cum in mouth was necessary.

Why, when they would do it for the price they already told you they would come for? Don't make Pattaya like other places where you have to pay extra for each little thing. Never had to tell a girl that I would give her extra for this that or the other. It is all-inclusive.

Other than you being let down by a girl you built up in your mind as a stunner and hiring an African chick, which I would never do, I think you are doing pretty good for yourself. In my humble opinion, I think you seem to be missing that rapport building thing you get from the little bit of time spent with a bar girl before the bar fine. Might I suggest a gents club? I think it will tick all your boxes.

1. Time to build a little rapport with the girl over a drink or 2.

2. For ST, no bar fine, just a small room charge.

3. You can view the line up and interview a few choices before making your selection.

4 laid back atmosphere as they cater to mostly expats.

TF is really a delivery service and that's it. You can't always make the right choice with photos.

Go to Maggie Mays, buy a drink. Pick a lady, buy her a drink.

Shampoo, rinse, repeat until you find a good one.

Or try another place a few doors down.

There were a couple of nice ones there, but that was 6-8 months ago. I have no been back since. Here are some photos. It's not the worst line up I have seen. One of these ladies took care of me real well on multiple occasions.

I don't see it. Cola is 70 baht. Room fee is 400 baht. 3 k only to top girls. Rest are 2,000 and below, some way below.

Several other sessions, but I don't really feel like typing them up at the moment. Might come back to post more after the trip is over. I don't know why, but overall, the sessions with Thais this time around have been very disappointing. I am not sure if I am coming back to Pattaya for a while. I am thinking next trip may be somewhere in Africa. Not sure. Still have another week here, so I may change my mind on Pattaya yet again.

Yes mate you will like the scene in Africa. Go to Kampala and have amazing girls for a fraction of the price you pay in Thailand. Just before covid I was paying the equivalent of 400-800 baht. Or Mombasa if you like spending daytime on beach. At the moment the local currency is very weak so you will get a good bang for your buck for sure. Downside is hotels in Africa at leat double the cost compared to Thailand. Best looking girls are in Gambia IMHO but the scene is very small. But worth checking out.
