In fact one of my better experience has been riding the bus between Ekaimai and Pattaya North, years ago I was riding back and forth to BKk to play in a Basketball league aftet each game I rush to the station to catch the lsdt bus, one time assigned next to a Flipino girl working in Pattaya went to see her parents in BKk, talking later she fell aleep and her head tip on to my right shoulder if it was a guy smack LOL, when she woke up near the station she was concern about getting a taxi etc to her apartment it ended up I had to go by her place to get home. I made the offer and told her think about it and let me know at the station she took the offer. We ended up exchanging no. Thought nothing of it since I was older she called a week later said thanks ask me what I was doing we became friends went to eat a number of time. Never gave it a second though that aftet a edhile I would be hitting it.

With the 50 baht I wasnt saying he was cheap but in fact s time asnd place to put or stand your position I gave him two example of such I felt when someone or place they got your balls you suck it up and pay your dues. I stated this a number of times it had been talk and stated also by other.

You got to have pussy for example she throws out 1500, your research it should be 1200, it is 2: am bedtime LOL, you have walked Kilo miss all night out nowhere. Just do it in my opinion been in situatlon in the past and in the future.

Give him a break! See out of a number of responsed he got including mines very similar he decide to check profiled daw and thought I was the easier target because I don't post normally like the rest so and accused me of being on the board just to belittle othersMaybe.

If he can't pay the 50 baht yet spend time in buying great equipment and top quality beans to make his coffee but pasd up at 50 baht ride cause he felt it should be cheaper he was being taken by the mafia LOL.

Maybe next time he comes give me a advance notice I rent him one of the folding bikes I store for people or one of the electic scooters. LOL.

He brags he is going to write reports because he always does but you will see he will spend but for whatever reason he has them passed up a ride becasuse he was bein over charge 30-40 Baht.

I think the break that is needed he suck it up and take whatever remarks come.
    Little not so Big man.

No clue what your problem is but you sure have lots of them. I got my answer but if you prefer to just act the way you do feel free to do so. Just stick a little to the facts even it seems you have trouble reading what others say when your ego feels bruised (which seemingly takes little). I do not need to brag about anything, I described a situation and asked for advice, which I believe affects more people. So the clarification is of some general interest. When I came to this Board a long time ago it was a community of likeminded people trying to be helpful. Most contributed in what they could. Sure there were different opinions and discussions but there was always a certain respect. I am still friends and in contact with many people even we have completely different views on many things. That is what made this place work. Now there is less and less information and more of the type of behaviour you seem to enjoy so much. Makes it easy for me. Ignore the non contributing but thank the rest for helping.

Thanks guys! Enjoy your time and do not wait for the Baht bus on the North route. It seems it is gone, so either use private transportation or go to Jomtiem. BTW the busses from Ekkamai are way more frequent than from the airport, apparently they also have minibuses there that are even more often going.

Happy 2024 to all of you.

    FA.

I am planning for a visit next week from Bangkok and these clubs intrigue me. I am not too high on the go-go's or night clubs and especially the beer bars as I drink very little alcohol though No problem laying out some baht for the girls.

Can someone provide a recent update on the best places to go and in particular where one can find some raunchy hands on action?
    Clubfate / Catflaps.

    Pirats (soi bangkot 8).

Or go Castle if you have the guts. .

Those I have top of mind.

I do not know about the motorways, but it used to happen all the time going up to the Pattaya Lookout. They had signs that said no buses, but I guess they could not help themselves. Now they have put up a fancy guard rail, but I have not seen any buses attempt that climb since.

Could someone please let me know how would the situation be early next week? How long do the girls go home for? I've already planned my trip.

That is like paper scissors rock. I would rather be in a bus with a seat belt on if I want to have the most protection.

For a short distance in Bangkok or Pattaya I can live with that (literally, so far).
But for long distances I prefer the bus. I only take a taxi if the bus is not running, like late at night for example.
I also think safety is a good reason to prefer bus for longer rides. No guarantees of course, but bus companies will usually have at least two staff on board, the driver and somebody else next to him (usually a woman checking tickets and handing out water). Since the other person usually doesn't want to die because the driver fell asleep, she also has some motivation to keep the driver engaged / awake. Possibly the bus company will have some regulations regarding rest / working hours too, as well as kicking out drivers who crash the bus too often.

Contrast that with a sole taxi driver half asleep at the end of his shift when you ask him to take you on a one and a half hour drive to Pattaya.

I have noticed the same, but that was during the pandemic.

A Bolt taxi (car) costs about the same from Buakhao. More convenient and safer if you have luggage.

It is hard to understand if that was the case! The issue at hand posted was taking the BUS FROM EKAIMAI TO PATTAYA NUA, THE BUS STATION then walking around the Soi Pattaya Nua in front of Makro then waiting for the SONGTHAW not an actual bus. The post isn't about a person taking a long flight!

Correct! Whenever I arrive after a long flight, especially from the West Coast to Bangkok, I walk downstairs to the Taxi area go to the Q kiosk, and push in the size of the taxi I need. Each time I arrived at the taxi indicated without a doubt get the head-toe review which whatever their reason the price is always higher. I just tell them the price and reason take it or leave it not their price but it is close and reasonable. They give me a long story lecture I walk even if they price it down thereafter I say nothing go back to the Q and get another number end of the story. I've only once had to do that.

The end after a long flight I don't give them a time of the day! For late flights I go into Nana taxi they give me a price and I give them a price always with a smile is it what I want majority of the time no but close. My goal is to get into Nana as quickly as possible check in the hotel shower out the door to roam around.

Everything I've said is not being cheap but a time and place for everything what is more important or one just has to have it all their way!

There is a taxi for around 1200. So you save maybe 1100 THB? (30 euro).

And regarding the money: you have to get back also, at some point, so you save approx. 60 Euro. I rather spent that on a nice girl, or a good hotel.
But that's just me. We all make our own choices.

Taxi is faster, drops you off at the hotel. Or picks you up there and drops you at the airport whatever.

Why on earth would someone try to save 1100 THB? You probably piss away too much cash during your holiday anyway?

Parking my car at the airport in my home country is 6 K (THB). THAT feels like a waste of money.
Regardless of having the habit of thinking value of stuff before throwing money around (some could even call stingy.), after trying the bus couple of times just out of interest of knowing how it works many many years ago, came to same conclusion myself. First time was lucky bus was just about to leave and all waiting could fit in. Second time less lucky as had to wait quite some time to get to bus.

After traveling 15+ hours, without proper sleep, I really value someone waiting me at airport when I get out with my bags, taking the stuff to taxi and drive me home while trying to keep awake on the back seat, without need to think too much. Worth every baht after long flights. And I recall paying the 1000 baht to Pattaya 15+ years go, so taking the overall inflation into consideration it is decent deal even at 1200. Just compare it how much girl's rates have inflated from those times.

Bus maybe would be okay after short local flight when returning from trip not being tired / jetlagged and not in a hurry, just taking the bus ride as an experience.
