I agree with the principle behind your post. HK prices gone up too much too quickly.

Yeah, it's quite expensive to have fun there now. $40 for room, tip for cum boys doing nothing, tip for robe guy who does nothing for you, tip to all the criminal waitors each they they bring you a drink, $11 drinks that are requested every 5 minutes, $120 for girl for like 15-20 min of whatever. Don't forget transportation and parking costs if applicable.

Each trip will hurt your wallet. I don't' mine the 120 costs for the women. It's all the other stuff that is out of control.

Another thing I've noticed is that, as these clubs mature, they get stuck with a lot of "lifers", and the turn over rate goes down, meaning less fresh girls.

It's like in other occupations where you have unproductive people but they have tenure so you can't get rid of them.

I swear, some of the girls working at HK have literally been there since the dawn of time. This is the same reason I was never a fan of Adelitas: too many hardened lifers.

Also, having a lot of lifers means that new girls are more quickly indoctrinated and exposed to hardened lifer attitudes.

Don't get me wrong. You can still have a great time in Tijuana and HK, you just have to pick your spots more. Also, you have to go there more or less consistently to find any good deals. If I was only going for a vacation, I would say that there are more attractive options out there. Of course, I live in So Cal, so I could go every week if I wanted.

I usually do 2 or 3 night trips to zona ending leaving on Saturdays.

For the first time I stayed over Saturday night and I did not enjoy it.

It was more crowded than Friday and too crowded for my liking.

The girls were not any better, etc.

The price gouging in HK has really gotten out of hand. $40 dollars for a short term room is outrageous. I simply won't pay it. The only way to go is basically to have your own room, nowadays. The last thing I want to happen is to pay $40 for that room and have the towel boy come knocking after 15-20 min, and then have the nerve to demand a tip.

Ladies drinks were always a rip off. Now even more so. Annoying meseros. Even the robe guy has always bothered me. So many damn dudes interfering.

But the worst thing is that I really think the business model hurts the girls. Every time I go there, I see the same thing. The majority of the girls standing around all night, perhaps never even going upstairs with a client. And I know that a lot of the guys in there are thinking the same thing I'm thinking: that it is simply too expensive to take a chance on less than a perfect opportunity.

I find myself being a lot more selective than I used to be, simply because I am unwilling to fork over $150+ for a bad or mediocre experience. In the old days, it was a lot easier to try a new girl, and even if she wasn't that good, it was like not that big of a deal because you were only out a couple of bucks. Now, if she's no good, it literally ruins my whole night.

The high barrier to entry has literally been the difference between me going with some of the girls or not, which is unfortunate for the girls, who would otherwise be getting my business. Also, I find it hard to believe that this "trying to ht a home run" mentality generates more revenue than just the slow steady income they would generate from more reasonable prices.

Why don't they just go ahead and have a cover charge, like 5 or 10 bucks or something, but at the same time lower the room / drink prices? This would eliminate some of the penniless riffriff and make the place less of a sausage-fest, but it really wouldn't deter the guys that actually want to do business there. The lower barrier to entry would make it a better environment for the guys and girls, and they would probably pull about the same revenue as before.

The best thing that we can hope for is that this virtual monopoly that HK has is eventually ended. We desperately need a legit competitor to HK. When HK was a younger club, it was kind of cool, but as the years have gone by, it has sought to abuse it's monopoly to a greater and greater extent.

Girls usually cost more than the airfare. Hotels are 60% of Tijuana and a lot nicer. Save up for your vacay and enjoy. It's getting crowded there also from those clueless "passport bros" there is still CDMX or Brazil.

I hate these location arguments. But I never stop to add my two cents. LOL I do so only to offer an opinion in the hopes it helps someone. Airfare has to be considered. If I lived in San Diego, I'm not sure I'd explore Medellin. Tijuana is just too convenient. But I will say that the quality of the sessions in Medellin are just light years ahead of my Tijuana sessions. My qualifier, though: I like longer sessions. 20 minutes and a knock by the cum boy is infuriating. My experience: the normal time spent for a "session" is 2 hours or more in Medellin for a cost that is less than a 20 minute session in Cascadas. And generally speaking, DFK and BBBJ are fairly standard. The paisas just feel less sharky.

I'm not part of the board of tourism in Colombia, nor am I knocking Tijuana because I do enjoy it. Just hard to say the service is in the same league.

Glad I live in SEA now. Still, fond memories of HK and Adelitas from when I was living in California. For my money the best places to monger are:

1. PI. Esp. Angeles, Subic, Cebu. Sweet girls who speak English and love to fuck. Happy Ending massage with blowjob $25. Getting laid all night $100. Prices higher in Manila.

2. Indonesia. Jakarta. Bustiest girls in SEA. $40/$100.

3. Dominican Republic. Santo Domingo. I pay $50 to $100 to bang top-heavy beauties who love to suck a dick and pose for porno shots. Biggest boobs in the world IMO.

4. Thailand. $20/$80. Pattaya has some super sexy beautiful bargain bangables. Lots of fake tits but I don't care. Just make sure she is a she.

5. Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh City. $25/$100. Very cute in their long dresses that cover everything but hide nothing.

I haven't spent a dime in HK in many many years. I hate the place. Everyone with their hand out trying to rip you off. The robe guy was the final straw for me. I told him to fuck off and left the girl there. It's principal at this point and now the rooms are 40 for 30 minutes. Wine for 30.00. Pretty soon they are going to hire the sham wow guy and force me to buy a cloth for 40 so they can clean after and the cum boy will still ask for a tip.

When I was a "regular" in Tijuana it was always for 1 or 2 nights. As the prices for 20-30 minute sessions went up,. I did he math. I started going on Monday / Tuesday when the VIP card got you rooms 90% off. The girls and drinks cost now offset those savings. And after you have been with 10's, then 90% of the TK girls look scuzzy.

Take a flight to Colombia and stay for a week or more. The cost of girls, hotels or Airbnb's is less then Mexico. It's only dangerous if you are carless and stupid.

Best advice I've read in a while. I live on the east coast. I traveled to Tijuana twice a month for years. Sometimes I'd stay a week, sometimes just 3 or 4 days. I had a blast. I'm not a guy that argues over 50 cents. But if I remember correctly, I never spent more than $100 on a girl and usually it was less. Granted, they made alot off of fichas with me, as I do like to party with them. It all changed when I learned Colombia. My trips to Tijuana ended with a few exceptions to see some favorite chicas. It's ALL subjective. But Colombia beats Tijuana in every category, unless I lived in So Cal. Cost, looks, and most especially attitudes. The only thing I'd add is right now, Colombia does have an elevated level of danger for most mongers, exceeding Tijuana. But as DonCarlos said, common sense goes a long way.

I am heading to Colombia next month. Due to some personal reasons, it's likely my last int'l monger trip. I considered many other destinations for one last big hurrah. But nothing beat Colombia. That said, I am going to tack on a few days and fly to Tijuana at the end of the trip for one last hurrah there. I feel a bit nostalgic when I think about the skuzzy streets of zona norte and the insane times I had at HK, Tropical and the like.

I love seeing posts like this one. Yeah, that's sarcasm. Years ago Tijuana was a bargain, and blokes like you trumpeted the fact. People noticed and then capitalism kicked in, and prices went up. Now you're crying into your kleenex because you're stuck dating Rosie Palma now that you're priced out of the experience.

HK and the ZN in particular are still a bargain compared to other options. Adjust your budget or look into alternatives. The whinging here isn't going to change a thing.
