I have an upcoming trip and have the option to stay at the New World Renaisasance Hotel on Salisbury or the Hyatt Regency on corner of Mody and Nathan St.

Just returned from my first visit to HK. After reading many posts and lots of research (many thanks to the contributors on this board) I made my way over to Wan Chai on Sunday afternoon. As noted, this place is crawling with woman who have Sunday off from work. I found Makati to be the best and Laguna maybe second best. If you want a nice and not too costly sauna with everything- go to Sunny Island on Hanoi St. It is about a 15 minute walk from Shangri-la. Just ask directions to Nathan Road. At the Holiday Inn, turn right on Mody. Go one block and make a very hard left onto Hanoi. There is construction in the area but Sunny Island has a big bright sign. Macau cost more for better quality but it also has great fast food as well.

I agree with the part about "hotel reservation", I have done it myself and was less than satisfied with the quality.

Also true for me with the local HK girls, some of them are quite attractive though, but the services were below expectation, always trying to hustle for an extra buck without wanting to provide something to earn it, just like many of the electronic shops around town. It's the overall mentality of the general local population I guess.

Intransit would like to offer some general tips for 141, having done the scene quite a bit and reached what he considers a point of diminishing returns.

The door opens, and you realize that Miss Asia 2004 looks like the dumpy waitress that served you fried rice at lunch. Some guys walk away; many don't. The triads are counting on this. They've made an investment in bringing the girls down from the mainland, securing their visas, putting them up in these dumpy little rooms, even doing bilingual Web sites. Now they want a return on investment in the form of turnover. These girls do 10-15 customers per day. In a month, that's 300-450 guys. They couldn't frankly give a fuck about whether you had a satisfactory experience or not.

7. Manage your expectations. I've said this before and will say it again. This is a you-get-what-you-pay-for experience. This is the fast food of sex. You may walk out of McDonald's thinking, "I'm full," but it's not likely you'll leave and say, "wow, that was a great meal." Possible, but not likely. The same is true here. You'll probably get off, but beyond that, it's a big question mark. You can improve your chances of getting good looks and good service through careful selection. Bring several addresses, and if possible, print out the page(s) for the girl(s) you want. It's McDonald's, but not everything on the menu is available all the time.
