I usually head down to Sabang or over the Cebu to escape Manila. However I'll be staying in Subic Freeport Zone for work in a few months. I probably stayed there about 20 years ago and there was no need back then to head to the Olongapo bars as basically I was approached in the street or the hotel security guy helped me out. Wondering if it's still pretty much the same? Also there used to be a girly bar of sorts in the actual freeport zone back then. Wondering if anyone knows of any that are there today. Thanks!

Arrived yesterday. In general as people said, Subic is a developing small town with more than a dozen bars gathered across the street. Lots of constructions and dirts. Bars are smaller in size as compared with AC. Bar fine are up to your negotiation with the girl, and the girl will share with the bar. Maybe 2 k or something. Went to thumbstar. There are some lookers. Bar fine 4 k for ST and 5 k for LT. LD 300 plus. Mama and girls are even more aggressive than bars in Manila, let alone AC. Some of them do come from Manila, during pandemic. Overall I will put AC in front of Subic for now. AC is more developed and straight forward. Here hotel is good, food is good. Just it is not the lay back styled bar that I thought.

Hi friends,
As Murphys law would have it, the recent Typhoon has "dashed to pieces" my dive trip to Subic.
Have quickly re-routed to Anilao, Batangas, to not waste my Manila flight tickets.
Any help and recommendations for hobbying, not diving, from fellow hobbyists here or PM will be greatly appreciated, by way for completed FR of course.
Thanks in advance, as there is not a post for Batangas LOL.
Victor.
