Sad to hear, he strikes me as the type of guy that will be carried out in a box before giving up work to retire gracefully! Even though I imagine it's been a profitable business over the years but he probably still has to work, I wouldn't say his retirement planning / saving has been top notch over the years, maybe I am wrong.

Hopefully the younger guy is his relative and he passes on the business in time and Thermae is with us for donkey years to come, nothing quite like Thermae!!

To that point, is there any other bar in Bangkok with the same "model" as Thermae I. E loads of freelancers and no bar fine? I certainly am not aware of any currently.

Never been to BKK, but really looking forward to my first experience. I plan on running this body of mine ragged with the girls. Been doing quite a bit of reading and searching, but I have a couple things I've been wondering currently:

I meant the pool table bars opposite Hooters. Cannot recall their names. We got there around 2 pm and then again around 7 pm.

Good fun and worth spending some time to hunt. Girls vary but there were some that were worth it. I have taken girls from those bars before. They tend to stay a few hours with you but are also open to staying overnight if you want them to and are prepared to pay. Suits me for an afternoon play and the send them on their way.

Let me answer that for you. If you're simply looking to get a covered fuck then gogo's, beer bars, thermae and even street freelancers more convenient at least in Thailand. But if you're wanting BBFS, or more of a GFE experience without mechanical clock watching than the online game might be worth the investment. At least for me it's been. I've learned not to start too early (maybe 3 weeks before trip at most) and since it's a numbers game being smart about quickly weeding out the candidates.
