There really aren't that many air conditioned bars for picking up in Patong / Phuket.

Probably a very dumb question, but hey.

Any advice on how to lower the risk of catching STDs. I'm not really educated about this topic and know there is no 100% protection. Reading recent posts about HSV and how many guys not using condoms with freelancers scares me a little bit.

Maybe some massage parlors are a little bit strict about girls using protection, or there is like some sort of escort agencies that care about that staff for their clients.

I've heard there is non-freelance girls on TF, that are looking for a hookup from time to time. They probably "cleaner" than average freelance girl, but I'm not considering them as an option as I'm not handsome at all and have zero game. I'm staying in Patong, and my place is not visitor-friendly if that matters.

Safest way will be always use condom. Most girls, especially in asia will go no condom at some point anyways.

Question about Rawaii- I know Patong is mongering central in Phuket but has Rawai got enough quantity to keep you happy? Are the prices a little lower than Patong? I know for what ever reason Patong prices are up in comparison to Bangkok & particularly Pattaya but I would prefer a beach location that I can actually swim / snokel in without getting sick. Have stayed at Patong and Kata & Karon (both these seemed a bit quiet). Other options, beach & decent volume?

I will try to help you, tho JuneFly pretty well nailed it with his response. He is correct that in Rawai you need transport.

There is more than enough variety in Rawai and quantity to keep you happy, and the price point, especially for massage sourced sex and bargirls, is lower than Patong.

TF sourced girls are priced similarly I've found.

One thing you haven't said NewImage is when you will be travelling? And that is important, Phuket is entering it's low season now (May to October), and the beaches throughout the island are now quite unsafe. Swimming is possible for experienced and strong swimmers who know how to handle beach rips and undertows, but why would you risk it. As to snorkeling, beach based Phuket snorkeling is finished (as is beach diving). Kata and Karon have always been quieter mongering wise, as is Kamala to the north of Patong. Patong is the hotspot, but Rawai does satisfy easily.

Rawai has enough quantity at slightly lower price points with better experience. The only downside is it takes a while to get oriented and everything is a bit far due to longer wait times for transport. If you are planning to stay there for a week or longer, and can rent a scooter, Rawai could work out better for you. However, if you are there for only a couple of days, it makes sense to stay put in Patong where everything can be had just around Bangla Road. ThaiGoodTimes is the resident expert in Rawai and can provide further insights.

And yes, it's too fucking hot to walk around now in Rawai, and it is pretty much too hot in all of Thailand at the moment.

I have been in Phuket for 3 days and got some amazing finds on Thai friendly. Subscription is worth it. I generally don't take these subscriptions as you have to chat a lot to get to the point but Thai friendly is for freelancers. Got nice girls for 2000 bhat three nights in a row.

Since my hotel check in wasn't till 1 pm and wanted to use the opportunity to sight see, I took the Smart Bus from the Phuket airport to Rawai, the fare is 100 Baht. Even though it's only 40 kms, but takes almost two hours due to multiple stops and windy roads. I stayed at Hotel Breakers on Wiset Rd in Rawai. It's a coworking space with a few guest rooms, but the accommodation was decent and affordable at $25 a night.

On the first day, I met ThaiGoodTimes at The Clubhouse Sports Bar and watched football and Formula 1 racing. After that, he was kind enough to show me around the city and took me to his favorite Ole Bar and introduced me to Mamasan and girls. I instantly liked a bar girl who was tall, slim, cute, sexy, lovely, wasted no time to take her for short time to the onsite room for a small fee. She was an amazing kisser, teaser, spinner, rocker. After the deed, we had a drink and ThaiGoodTimes dropped me at the hotel. He is a super chill guy, quite knowledgeable about Phuket, notably Rawai. Transportation is a bit of hassle here, everything is bit far, can't walk in the humid weather without soaking in your sweat within a few minutes, you either need a scooter or hail a ride from Bolt or Uber with considerable wait times. The best option for me was to stay put at Laguna Club bars, which is a collection of bars under one roof, one end with older women, the other end with younger women. The short-time price range was 2000-2500 and long-time 4000-5000 baht. Most weren't open to long-time, so I picked a girl for short-time and brought her to my hotel.

Next two days I was in Patong at Sleep with Me hotel for $65 a night with breakfast buffet. The hotel was nice, contemporary, girl friendly, centrally located, and very close to Bangla Road. Both nights I picked up freelancers, the first night I picked a freelancer who was heading to Illusion bar with her friend, the other night I picked a freelancer on the street. The first girl was 28 yo, gorgeous with braces, horny as hell, the second girl was 27 yo, topsy tail like a school girl, innocently chatty, hilarious with her dance moves. I also got massages during the day in Patong. In Patong, it's hard to get a massage without boom boom, while in Rawai most massage places are standard with only a few naughty ones offering extras.

In my view, Phuket is beautiful pristine, but is not for everyone. It's touristy, spread out, not concentrated like Sukhumvit or Pattaya, it takes a while to know your way around here. While you won't starve here (in whole Thailand for that matter), you won't find plenty of fish in one pond like in Bangkok, Pattaya, Manila, Jakarta.

Unfortunately HSV-2, which is what you usually have if it's on your dick, is transmittable without there being an outbreak.
