Yes, there is a scam going on in the Old Quarter from some Tinder and Badoo girls.

One of the scam clubs / bars is "The Circle" on Ma May street in the Old Quarter.

There has been a lot of reports of being scammed and hit with high bills. Never go there.

There is also another place in the OQ that is doing this but I forgot the name.

On your first meet-up always insist that each pay their own bill to avoid this and both of you agree on where to meet if you're going to have drinks and / or food.

Planning a first solo trip to Hanoi for 2 days for mongering. Done the RTFF and it seems the only option is to rely on the Neko Nuru Spa which is goign to cost 70-80 USD.

Went to Neko last month. Total spent was close to 2 million vnd, can't remember exactly what I paid but it was def under $100 USD which for me I was fine with.

Almost all 4-star and below hotels in Hanoi are girl-friendly. Most even rent out rooms for ST sessions. Exceptions are 5-star hotels and hotels with their own Karaoke, massage ect operations, which want you to patronize their girls.
