there's a non-pro girl that I am seeing there and other hotels I wanted to stay at you had to register the other person as a guest and I'm not comfortable Registering somebody else to my room just yet so I'm trying to find a decent room in the Makati area that's a good hotel reasonably priced $100 a night but is guest friendly..

I know other helpful guys here have addressed your issue but don't be put off by hotels registering a guest. It is Makati after all and they do it not only for their security, but yours also. And they see guys bringing back girls for a romp every day of the the week. Not so sure about other hotels, but the Garden City (Not to be confused with the GC Grand) has been great for me. Clean comfortable rooms, great roof-top bar and lovely staff.

When you book a hotel room, just make sure you book a room for two (it won't cost you any extra) because I made the mistake once of putting down one person when I booked online and they tried to use it against me when I brought a girl back, saying I'd only booked a room for one guest and then they wanted more money out of me. It's actually 'refreshing' to have reception call you before a girl leaves to make sure everything's okay and she hasn't knicked your wallet before they let her go. Just my experience. Phil.

All it means is that if you bring a girl home after 10:00 PM she has to leave her ID at Reception. I assume they register her but you don't need to even know about it. You can bring as many as you want 1 at a time or 2 at a time for a fee. Coro didn't stop me with my girl on the way in at 2:00 AM however she had to show her ID and they called me before she was allowed to leave. I don't think City Garden Grand even cared, no ID check and no call when the girl left.

OK I must've took it the wrong way then that's good to know because I wanted to stay at a hotel. It looks really nice, but it made it sound like I had to register the girl to the room where she would have access to the room and I wasn't OK with that.

Or just book a double room in Eddie's name. I've never had to give my wife, GF, hooker de jour's name at the time of the booking. If she's half presentable, they probably won't even ask for her ID. If there is any doubt, they will just take down her details.

All are standard practice so no one will be surprised regardless if which way it goes.

I'm coming for 3 weeks to Philippines in June and landing of course in Manila first. Depending who I am meeting maybe also going to Cebu, Davao, Bohol, Tacloban etc. For at least a week or maybe even two. Or might just end up staying in Manila like I did last year. Last year I booked a cheap AirBnb close to BGC but not really in BGC so it was quite cheap but the building was old with some rats at the pool and cockroaches in the room sometimes. Now I was thinking to rent a bit better place so maybe it wouldn't make sense to reserve for 3 weeks and end up leaving for a week or something. What would you suggest? Renting an AirBNB for the first week and then see what happens? If stay more in Manila maybe go for a cheap hotel then? If AirBNB have slim pickings on sush a short notice? Or book many AirBNBs before with a cancel option? Also it is a bit difficult to find an AirBNB with "good" security policy. Some Makati condos I have asked even don't allow visitors at all and only registered guests can enter the condo unit. Other one had a policy that no overnight guests are allowed. In some place it was possible if send a copy of guest's ID 24 hours before her stay, which might also be difficult to arrange. Is there any Makati / Bgc / Poblacion etc. Condo with less security? Like the last place I stayed in (Ridwegood towers) the guard was there downstairs looked at me but never asked a question no matter with whom I walked to the elevators. I'm looking for possibly max $40-50 a night maybe close to Greenbelt or Poblacion maybe even Mandalyong.

In these days of smart keys, more and more times a guest cannot even access the lift, let alone rooms, even if the resident prefers it.

The OP need not worry about staff attitudes. It's hardly the first time they have seen a hot 19 yo arrive to visit her "uncle". She's probably chatting to security because she has been so many times that she knows their kids' favourite subjects at school.

Hi G, completely agree. They've all seen it before. Some of the best talent I've found has been via chatting to hotel employees or security. They're obviously going to get a cut out of it, the girl's happy and so am I. Everyone wins Phil.

Gramercy Residences near P. Burgos is in that price range. I didn't see any rats there last year, but there were some roaches but not too bad.

I have been staying in Malate. 35 m2 studio for $A50, nice room washing machine, netflix, cooking, daily cleaning nice building close to amenities. Cancellation policy of full refund if cancelled within a day or two of stay. I just book 3 x 1 week lots.
