Same thing with coal mining. Didn't hear a lot of complaints about the health risk to miners or the environmental impact, until solar panels and windmills started popping up. Now if you believe the stories, wind turbines are all surrounded by the carcasses of millions of dead birds.
There is mechanically no difference between a simple positive displacement pump and the reciprocating steam engine, invented in 1712, but the pump was invented about 2,000 years earlier. It took about 150 years after the steam engine for someone to figure out the same effect can be generated by gasoline. Thirty years later someone decides to put an engine in a wagon and the car is born.
Of course nobody was thinking about smog. Most heat and cooking was being done by burning coal. Imagine NYC when every building, every house is burning coal. One guy with a gasoline engine powered buggy isn't thinking about the environmental impact.

Using the word polio to refer to symptoms of polio, not caused by the polio virus doesn't work. Vomiting and / or diarrhea are symptoms of some types of influenza, or symptoms of food poisoning, or symptoms of excessive alcohol consumption, or symptoms caused by taking a purgative and laxative. Only 1 of those 4 examples is contagious.
Polio, or a condition which produces polio like symptoms has been around long before pesticides, all the way back to ancient Egypt. It was first clinically described in the late 18th century, first classified as a disease mid 19th century and first shown to be caused by a virus early 20th century. First serious outbreak of polio in the US was in 1894. That's where the hypothesis falls to pieces.
While DDT was first invented in 1874, nobody was using it as a pesticide, nobody was using it at all. A chemist produced a compound which was stable, but nobody knew what it was good for. In 1939 someone discovered it worked well as a pesticide. Any polio outbreaks prior to 1939 can't possibly be attributed to DDT.
Assuming DDT can be shown to cause polio like symptoms, or can be shown to increase risk of infection by lowering immunity, then DDT could potentially be linked to polio outbreaks in the 1950's, 60's and 70's. However, if the main component of the polio outbreaks was caused by DDT rather than the polio virus, outbreaks would not have been significantly affected by the widespread distribution of the vaccines. Polio cases would have only started to disappear after DDT use was restricted. Yet, here's the timeline:
1952- worst recorded outbreak in NYC, 20,000 cases.
1955- Salk vaccine approved and mass vaccination begins.
1962- less than 1,000 cases in US.
1970- 33 cases of polio in US.
1972- US bans general use of DDT.
You can track the cases by year for any country which started vaccination while DDT was widely used, and in countries where it only had limited use, the results are the same.
Can DDT cause polio like symptoms? It's possible. However, we have nobody with polio like symptoms. While DDT was being widely used the majority of polio like symptoms were found in cities, rather than rural areas where DDT was more widely used. Outbreaks which primarily occur in areas with high population density indicate a contagious disease.
The only way to properly test the hypothesis is to expose children to DDT to see if they get polio like symptoms. Can you think of any reason why capitalism isn't throwing money towards that hypothesis?

One of the issues I had with vaccines causing autism is if you talk about mercury, lead, aluminum is if you talk about direct toxicity to the brain, the brain shrinks. However, if these elements interfere with the ability to lower glutamate, the brain actually swells as there is more glutamate to detoxify and one of the by products of glutamate detoxification is excessive water production, and that IMO is why autistics have bigger heads. So IMO mercury's role with autism had to be indirect.
And while dopamine is the attention part of ADHD, glutamate is they hyperactive part. So you take an ADHD person, and they are more likely to be physical attractive because they are high energy people and to be normal and lower their glutamate, they exercise like crazy. Bipolars and borderlines are similar to ADHD, and these types of people typify the multiorgasmic, good in bed, easily slighted types. There is truth to the phrase the crazy ones are the best in bed and why negging can work. And alcohol and Xanax lower glutamate as well, so these people are likely to seek drugs like this out. Thing is my gal is ADHD and of the three types, they are the least crazy.
So with all these neurodegenerative diseases like ALS, MS, Alzheimer's, and poliomyelitis, the cause is the same, excessive glutamate but because there is such variance in glutamate levels between people, double blind studies, AKA "science" are not going to pick out. And when you have someone like myself who can spot a bipolar, borderline, or ADHD person a mile away, I can stick them in the control group and the low glutamate people, the chilled out hippie types, into the group getting vaccines or DDT or whatever, and rig a study. And you really cannot measure glutamate levels but like I can said, I can observe people or ask them questions and figure it out in a minute. In fact, my seemingly innocuous questions like, "When you study for school, do you need absolute quiet?" clue me into what their levels are. Low glutamate people can study in a rock concert.
The same goes with dopamine. I will ask "do you lose your keys and phone a lot?" That is another simple question. If you are low in dopamine, you will say yes. That also tells me the person has above average physical stamina as that is well known with low dopamine people. Thing is you cannot accurately measure dopamine levels either.
The problem with DDT, aluminum, mercury, and lead is that blood levels are only good for recent exposures. If you go a few months out, you have to chelate and then measure urine levels. Only then can you see how much those poisons are affecting people. RFK Jr. Caught one of these vaccinologists lying about the mercury put in vaccines. There was a version of mercury, the "safe kind", that was put in vaccines. People would get the vaccines and no one knew where the mercury went. It took a series of autopsies to show that the "safe kind" of mercury went right into the brain. RFK Jr. Asked the vaccinologist if he was aware of those biopsy results, and the vaccinologist hung up the phone on him.
For now, those who say vaccines do not cause autism have to explain why doctors cannot find an unvaccinated kid with autism and why the Amish, who mostly do not get vaccinated, have close to no autism in their communities. As I said before, I could easily rig a study to show why vaccines do not cause autism based on my observations.
So with DDT like mercury and lead, the mechanism is the same. In numerical terms, if you have to get to 100 to have poliomyelitis, maybe DDT adds 20 points. If you focus on the people who are likely to be 80 or less, you can design a study showing DDT is safe.
The other simple measure with things is blood type. I am O positive the most common type. I always do well with vaccines. Everyone told me the same thing. You have pain at the site the next day, and that is what I had. The second vax left my whole arm tender to the touch for three days. People misunderstood what I meant when I said that. That was my body reacting to the vaccine.
So if this happens to me, can you imagine how other people like AB negative types would react? I talked to one Mexican lady who had trouble walking around for a year. And this lady lived in a hilly neighborhood in Mexico, and she would fly around town once recovered. She got maimed after the first booster and her friends, family, and coworkers wanted to get more boosters. Can you imagine this shit?
And so when I see doctors, I do not want the ones with mastery of the studies. I can read the studies. I want doctors that are familiar with diagnosis and treatments. So when I talk to a an autism doctor I know and respect and ask him how many times he has seen vaccines lead to autism, and he rolls his eyes and says "thousands", that means a helluva lot more to me than some Fauci funded study. The whole concept of anecdotal as worthless completely depends on something else you cannot measure, the character of the observer. And in this case, it was not some doctor with an agenda but a doctor frustrated beyond belief at how many children have been hurt.

I came across this report recently.
"Russia is preparing to file a complaint against the Ukraine, accusing them of war crimes. The Ukraine, facing a shortage of bombs and artillery ammunition due to the US Congress' allowing a lapse in foreign aid, has made up for the shortfall by dropping Chinese electric vehicles from bombers and launching electric vehicle batteries from artillery and long range rockets. Ukrainian saboteurs have also parked Chinese electric vehicles near Russian ammunition depots, defense plants, and aerodromes and allowed them to catch fire spontaneously, starting fires that take fire fighters days to extinguish and releasing toxic fumes that force the evacuation of nearby workers and residents. According to Moscow, this is an illegal circumvention of Geneva Convention rules against the use of Napalm and chemical weapons. ".
