I went to Friends about 1 month ago. First of all, Friends is located in a (see earlier posts by others for directions) noticeably non-P4P and non-foreigner area, but it is very close to the subway exit. It's labeled a Stress Clinic and not Massage. You go down a few steps. The entrance door was not locked and I believe there was another customer inside. The guy inside spoke excellent english.
The rooms are not really rooms. There one big area with "stalls". The walls do not go completely to the ceiling and there is no door to each stall. The inside decor (if you can call it that) is run-down and it could be cleaner (e.g. some stains of some sort on the walls).
The fee is 60k won with no mention of a "mileage" card. The girl was probaby mid-20's, maybe cute but not pretty. Very little english but communications wasn't really a problem. The massage wasn't very good. She seemed to massage hard areas where there is mostly bone (ouch!) and massage lightly areas with muscle or maybe fat ;o). The hand finish was very mechanical. I think you guys have experienced that before.
Total session time was about 45minutes. It's probaby worth a visit but I can't wholeheartedly recommend. If you're looking for a more medium to high upscale experience than this is not the place to go. If you're looking for a quick massage and release, then give it a try.
The good news is that I can't believe LE would find anything illegal about this place since the rooms themselves would detour any reasonable person from wanting to do anything but get a massage and maybe a quick hand release. The only problem may arise from the close proximity to many family dwellings and establishments.

Tried to call the massage services listed in the Herald on Thursday. The time was just after 11pm. Was told no more for the night, even if the add says 24hr service. I guess you need to call early and make a reservation.

Posts: 49You'll be happy to know that Hyun Joo is still there, although I think she works at night. She wasn't there when I went, but I was told she's still around (she was a favorite of mine too). The owner said that next time I should call up and make a booking if I REALLY want her, or just come early evening for a good selection.

I'm kinda answering my own question here, but yesterday I took a walk around Yongsan and saw quite a few girls sitting around in jeans and tshirts. The quality was only up to about 8 with maybe a 9 somewhere in there, but that was the A row. I didn't even venture down the B row alley. I wasn't in a buying mood anyhow. My friend also tells me that 588 in Cheongnyangni is open again. I'm guessing it might be in the same limited capacity.
Happy mongering!

Does that mean Hyun-joo is gone Y.Y
Anyway, Gonadz, I'll be heading there this weekend to check out the less experienced one if I can, I haven't been since the crackdown, so looking forward to it. Will write up on Monday.

I just got back from my weekly de-stress at FRIENDs and was pleasantly surprised by the presence of two new girls. Both are quite cute.. I asked which one I should choose and the guy who works there said that one (don't ask me to remember the name) has worked in a massage place before and the other is completely new. I decided on experience and plus she was really cute..
The massage was excellent although I asked her to really get into it. Sometimes the girls hands are really small and they can't give me enough punishment. But with a little encouragement, it was a great massage. Then came the "special service" (read HJ). Nice and sloppy... told her to slow down because its been a slow week and I have limited staying capacity. All in all I have to give her a definite thumbs up.. Great service.
Maybe next time I'll try the other girl.. Has anyone been there since these two have come along? Just wondering what the service is like..

And just wondering about the status of the RLDs around town. Are they on or off. I'm not hearing much about the crackdowns these days, so is anyone getting any luck or is it still slim pickings?

Posts: 22I agree - an average Western guy has the same chances as an average Korean guy of getting a hot Korean chick - slim to none. If you can't get hot chicks in your home country, you're not going to get them here either. That's what PFP is for. On the bright side, it's been my (limited) experience that the current Korean college-age population has a lot less prejudice against dating Western guys than in years past. There's still quite a bit of prejudice, but in the six years I've been here I've noticed it decreasing. Today's college-age students are much more likely to have travelled and lived overseas than in the past, so maybe that has something to do with it. So, if you're young, good-looking, and have money (or really any two of those three), and aren't we all, your chances will improve - obviously.

Trust me, the Western "superiority complex" will soon fade in the coming years. We'll all be speaking Mandarin or Indian within our lifetimes! LOL :P
Basically, if you don't look or act decent enough to get a date in one's home country, chances are that you won't be able to get the "Cindy Crawford" or Hyolee of Korea. Truth is, many Asian countries are becoming so as well, even SE Asia. The idea of Joe Shmoe getting Asian supermodels has been lost to folklore along with abject poverty(with exceptions: India, Mainland china in the sticks, and Cambodia comes to mind). Of course, that's just not my cup of tea. Kim HeeSun is my Venus.

These women aren't meat (or, they aren't "just" meat). They are someone's sister, daughter, or mother and deserve some basic dignity.
Sucking your smelly cock is hard work.

Posts: 46Don't forget Canadian women in Itaewon
It might seem a little strange to go to Korea to have sex with a white woman but if you're American consider there are a lot of horny Canadian women ESL teachers. If they're not given to Korean men, they find it a bit hard finding a white guy. The white guys are all chasing Korean women, of course. Canadian women, like American women, are much more used to the idea of a one night stand and know the score. You're not interested in being their English teacher.
Canadian women find exotic and charming American GIs, especially if you're a fine southern man with what amounts to a very charming accent to a Canadian. Latino men also drive Canadian women wild. There are not many Latinos in Canada. If you're black too you'll find a much more receptive audience in Canadian women. And regardless of race, if you're larger down there, it won't scare them off. Nothing worse than having sex with a Korean woman not used to a dick over 4" and a look on her face like "when will this be over with?"

Posts: 114well found an australian to walk around yongsan tonight. not many chicks about and even the a rows have lost their charm. the b row was just plain disappointing.
however we walked into 3 ta-bangs today (the coffee houses). it was about 7pm on a wednesday night. what we saw was uber scary. like obviously 50+ agewise women. we took a peek and ran out, literally ran out before they could say anything.

There is the fascination with foreigners but even that has retreated. Four or five years ago it would not be uncommon to have a woman strike up a conversation with you in a Starbuck. These days, however, young Koreans don't find westerners entirely exotic. Every school has a western teacher. And the World Cup pretty much super saturated them with foreigner experiences.
That said, it still is easy to get a date in Seoul. But mostly women here want to practice their English and have dinner with a foreigner. This is particularly true, as the poster hints, if you're trying to arrange a "date" to "help" her practice her English. They will take that offer at face value and not read between the lines. As well, they're raised with the notion that any kind of move on their part will brand them a ho. However much they might want it, they'll never, ever make a move. You have to make all the moves.
Young Korea women are also raised on Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt movies. To them, that's a western man. They're hyper conscious about fashion and labels. So, in sum, if you're looking for 20something non-pros in Starbucks, in and around the u-districts, if you're a 20something male, good looking, in shape, and fashionable, you'll have no problem. You won't turn heads if you're old and fat.

Posts: 155Quote...Father Glen Jarron of the Filipino Catholic Center in Seoul said the Army’s health checks were of less concern than the South Korean government’s requirement that entertainers undergo AIDS tests. Jarron has worked extensively with Filipinos trafficked to South Korea.
“Why should they require entertainers to have an AIDS test and not require ordinary factory workers? That is tantamount to saying that the girls are not really going into that kind of work,” he said.
The real problem was not health checks or AIDS tests, he added.
“It is about ending the idea that they [Filipina nightclub workers] are still being used by American GIs or other foreigners,” he said. end Quote
I say, what is stopping these women from going back to the Philippines? If they don't want to be in the sex business, leave! But don't blame others for your ignorance! Servicing the military is a bunch of BS! These gals work in all areas of Korea not just the military bases areas! It's always easy to put the blame elsewhere.

Can't speak to the situation at Miari, but the area immediately around the Hilton is pretty dead. There are some super-seedy barbershop type places near Namdaemun, but I wouldn't recommend going to any of them; better to get a porno on the hotel TV and masturbate. However, Bukchang-dong is not too far away, and you could hit a room salon there. Or, if you want a sure thing, try one of the outcall services in any of the English-language newspapers.
