My plan was to visit Hokuto, a spot I found on the Web. My experience confirmed some recent reports I've been reading here: the place is very busy and I couldn't get in even on a weekday afternoon. Unfortunately, I got the gaijin cold shoulder there. Never even made it into the door. I found that curious because I was wearing a suit, was polite, and speak passable Japanese.
