However, I can tell you that almost everyone in Singapore speaks English. The entire school system is taught in English so you should have no problem. I'm not sure I agree with the whole ring vs. index finger thing... seems a bit of a strange test.

YOu've got to face the fact that while some of the ladyboys are quite obvious, others are as or better looking than the women and you won't always be able to tell. While lots of people use the adam's apple, I personally check three things.

First is height - most of the asian women I've picked up at OT are petite. I think the tallest was 5'4". The ladyboys usually are quite a bit taller. Again, these are not sure-fire tests, but they seem to work well for me.

I am coming on a visit to Singapore for three days at end of November. Here is a way to check for a ladyboy, look at the right hand. You want to look at the index finger and the ring finger. The index finger on most people is slightly shorter than the ring finger. However, on men the index finger is usually decidedly (visibly) shorter than the ring finger. On women, the index finger and the ring finger are usually very close to the same length. Remember to look at the right hand and not the left one. If you find a beautiful girl with an index finger that is noticably shorted than her ring finger, she is most likely a ladyboy and not a girl at all.
