There is a decent soapy (Phucome) for 900b under the Phucome Hotel at the far end of Huay Kaew Rd, about 1km past Nimmanhemin. The hotel is at the intersection with a divided busy street, at least 6 lanes. As you are facing the hotel lobby, walk to the left into the parking area which is actually under the building. Look for the neon. Go up the stairs. Use the papasan's recommendation with caution.

I finally went to one of those soapies after striking out every were. It was 2000 baht to catch a chill. Hot then cold then hot. I can not stay horny for this. In pattaya the soapies are 1500 for two girls. Here its 2000 for one.

You could give the Lanna 3 serviced apartments a try on Heaukeaw Road (spelling please) just after the big Dunkin Donut shop on the right hand side of the road as you travel up.

If not try the Condotel 4 further down the road towards the city on the same side.

Spelling: Huay Kaew Road.

Those places are a little too far outside of town; good if you have a nice motorbike, but otherwise you're destined for a life of tuk-tuks and rot-dangs. There are plenty of guesthouses/apartments offering monthly rentals that are more centrally located.

Try Verachai Court, Royal Peninsula, Top North, City View, Lai Thai, Royal Lanna etcetera.

Also the most important thing for me there was no noise from the traffic. If not try the condotel 4 futher down the road towards the city on the same side.

I am like yourself and not really into the soapy scene so if anyone has any ideas on where to go for a good short time during the day or otherwise i would love to here them.

I've been here two days at the raming lodge. 1400B seems expensive but it is a nice hotel. I will look for a nice guest house for the long term.

I've been very frustrated trying to get a good looking girl to go home with me. I've learned that the good looking ones just make money on drinks. I hate this way of luring people to the bar. Fortunatly I have what they want. So I'm eligable to have one as a girl friend If I want to play that game. They want some one for the whole vacation or someone that will stay for long time in Chiang Mai. I can stay as long as I want and I can afford them. And I'm not too fat and ugly. Nit Noi

As said before in this forum, don't come here expecting another Pattaya. I despritaly need to know of a place I can go during the day and get quick nasty short time, any time I want and I haven't found it yet. I don't like soapies that much, just sex. Please help!

I did have some short time at a bar down the road with a skinny little hotty but she kept pressuring me to stay at the bar so she could get drinks. I know they make money on lady drinks every were in thailand but here it seems to be the most important thing and sex for money is second. I hate the attitude. Bar fine 400 short time 800. and she ordered the best room service meal they had. I guess I should have done the ordering.

Now I know what they want and I met a nice girl in a bar and told her "I'm here for a long time, I don't have to work anymore and I want a thai girl friend." I'll see her tomorow during the day as friend only at first. I'll se how this goes. If this is the process I'll play along. I do want a thai girlfriend but don't want problems. Is this possible? I know answer already.

Damn Shame, I found the Nancy Chandler map (which can be picked up at the Suriwong Book Center, among other places) to be very helpful, but I also found it helpful to print out the Chiang Mai map from the Yahoo Sanukmaps group to carry around. It's a bit out of date at this point in terms of a couple of mongering locations, but it's a decent map and small enough to pop into a pocket or wallet.

i seem to remember that nimanhaemin road was quite a long road. anyone got more specific info?

it is a long road, and there used to be (and maybe still are) a few burmese brothels in the sois leading off this road about one-third of the way down.

i'm not a brothelist but i hear there are brothels rep001tered all over town- santiitam being the area best known for it. brothels, after all, make up over 90% of the thai sex-industry. thai policemen, tuk-tuk drivers, and other middle-aged thai men will probably have all the best brothel knowledge.

incidentally, nimmanheimin road has a restaurant called "fine thanks". the staff here are weighed on arrival each day and are fined if they have gained any weight. it is definitely the restaurant in town with the hottest waitresses and so its clientelle are mostly groups of thai men enjoying the hospitality. a very good place to collect phone numbers.

Holy crap, that is cheap. I really don't take short time that often, but it would be nice to have my own shag pad. I've been doing Sayuri about once every couple of weeks when I need some strange but I'm getting bored with it.

CM is definitely 'small' especially if your partner is a local and has a big circle of friends. And, they are especially keen to watch what the farang husband is up to when wifey is not around. I stick out like a sore thumb wherever I go. Luckily I get down to BKK a few times a month.

This place really is easy to naviagate once you've been here for a few hours, plus it is easy to pick-up a simple map once you arrive.

I have recently moved to chiang mai from the UK (2 weeks). I have been here before several times before and love the place really nice climate and not full of drunken morons. But for the life of me cannot get my head around the directions that some of the helpful posters place on this site.

I was wondering if someone could recommend a good easy to follow map that would be good for someone that never joined the boy scouts.

I do like to get out and sample some thai women (short time only, girlfriend would cut my bollock off), but since I have been her I have been unable to find any good places. I am not really into soapies, I just want to find somewhere to get some quality horny little thais and some good short time places. Any help, info would be grately appreciated.

Today is May 7, 2005. I am in Chiang mai. A while back someone needed information on the "day time *****houses" on Nimmanhaemin Road. Just visited the place. One is closed, two are open from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

They were originally three houses. The one on the right is closed. The one in the middle has around 10 young *****s, two or three with good body! Bring your own comdom or you will be charged 40 bt. I paid 300 bt to screw, 90 bt for a beer. Around $ 10 all! Some of the night *****houses where I took nice girls to my hotel in the past, have been closed! There are two places close to "Chiang Mai" hotel, I haven't visited them.They look expensive I will report on them later. I hope this helps anyone!
