Just a word of warning to fellow mongerers in Bahrain.

With the approaching national elections here the authorities are once again having a crackdown on the percieved undesirable element in the country and one of the big target areas ( popular for gaining votes anyway!) is the thai girls of which there are a large number. Unfortunately many of the thai girls here are involved in the local drug scene and have been getting caught selling to Muslems, a big no no! Many (200 or so according to a friendly police contact) havealready been sent back to Thailand. Most have been picked up from hotels they were working and living in ie The Bahrain Plaza, Riyadh Palace, Bahrain International and quite a few of the less well known ones frequented largely by arabs. However sources inform me that none are immune and that worryingly, the girls customers would be in trouble if they were in their hotel room when the police went to pick up the girls. So avoid the cheaper hotels or better still dont use them at all until after the elections in a couple of months time, its Ramadan then and most of the girls go home and the excitement will have died down by the time they get back.

Found a place behind YumYum Tree near Exhibition Avenue - there are some appartments directly round the back (you can actually see into YumYum Tree from the lift), and there are some Thai wh0res in one of the flats there. I actually met one of them outside, she gave me her number, etc. I think it's up on the 4th floor, but ask the Indian at reception. It costs BD5 to get past him, and then BD15 for supposedly a half-hour shag, but I was there for the best part of an hour and there were no problems. As for the girls, there are about 7 or 8 of them there, of which 2 (Sophia and another one whose name starts with D, something like Dania) are quite pretty. Your understanding is correct - BD60/hour is the going rate in Phonecia and in similar establishments. The pricing structure there is as follows: BD40/half an hour, BD60/one hour, BD80/two hours, and BDwho-knows-how-much/all night. I would expect BD100 and more, depending on the time of the contract.

There are ways how to lower your budget, however. For example if you are not specifically after the CIS girls, you can find plenty of Thai talent at TC's in the Adhari Hotel at the rate of BD50 for an all-nighter.

I'm going to Bahrain next month so I've been (re-)reading the below postings with a certain interest. Am I correct in understanding that the going rate for a CIS girl in Hotel Phonecia is 60 Bahraini Dinars for one hour? I confess to a slight surprise: that's about 170 US dollars and/or 120 Euros. (I know the Gulf states are more expensive than Thailand and East Africa, but this is also way above, say, southern Europe....) How much does one pay for an all-nighter, then?

Gentlemen, it's been a bit since I've been in Bahrain (about 2 months), but I thought I'd get the little bit of info I have out to you. In regard to hotels - the Phoenecia was always productive, but I think that's already been covered. Another productive one was the Riviera in Jawahar, close to the US base. Fairly standard arrangement, but no need to go to the disco - just ask the doorman for room numbers when you arrive, and in no time you'll be flooded with prospects. CIS mainly, but there was a lovely Persian girl who I sampled last time. BD40 ST, 60LT, room was BD 30. Perhaps the best arrangement I found was at a hotel in the souq, I believe it was the Bahrain Hotel (not the Bahrain International). They have a very seedy bar that I wouldn't recommend, but rooms are BD8 and I had a very attractive Chinese girl for BD10, all access provided. As for other hotels, I think the arrangement is always fairly standard. If you do have the opportunity to stay in apartments when in town, many of them feature girls. Of note were Jawahar Mansion and Fareed Plaza (all of the various numbers). Enjoy, gents.

Just a word on the side with information from the Dubai forum. I personally would be very wary about paying up front, especially giving money to a third party in the disco. This leaves you open to either a LT becoming a ST with no recourse, or even being left high and dry with no girl at all if they suddenly bugger off. I'm glad that this didn't happen to you. After reading the DXB forum extensively, I'm inlcined to insist on 'pay after'. This gives you a little more control of the situation. Not a hard and fast rule by any means, sometimes you have to bend a little if it is worth it to you.

Expatcat, of course that's good advice but in this case everything just felt "right" so I "bent" a little. I had been with her chatting and buying her drinks for awhile inside and she really seemed trustworthy in that Thai sort of way. Also, this happened outside after we had discussed when and where to drop her off the next morning (she was intimidated with taking cabs alone).

I'm not saying I have some super sense to know when I'm about to get ripped off, but I've been doing this for a long time and I often trust my instincts. I think we all have had that feeling when things are turning bad and I didn't feel any of that. Plus, these girls work the same bars so if I did get ripped off I could go back the night and raise a fuss. And it was only 50BD.

In the end it all did work out and I had a memorable night (and morning) of pleasure. Also, with the Thai babe I went with two nights later, the subject never came up. In fact, as she was leaving my room the next morning she had to shyly ask, which was embarassing. Really bad form on my part to make her have to ask but I really forgot. maybe because she was such a GFE that I was feeling more like it was really was my girlfriend leaving!

Anyway, I'm agreeing with you. But this is a case where I think you'd have had to been there...it was felt Ok this time for a lot of reasons some of which I can't really explain.

I believe that Phoenicia gets coverage because of the CIS connection and the because of visitors coming to the kingdom. It may not be so good for residents here in Bahrain (60 for girl and 25 for room). I've posted fr's regarding TC's which has had consistantly interesting talent some time ago. Also worth checking out is Diggers in the Delmon Hotel. In both TC's and Diggers the Thais seem to rule the roost.
On the other side of town, more Thais in the bar (Joeys) or the disco at the Sea Shell. Last weekend I dropped into the Bahrain Plaza. The disco round the side was a little murky (dark and unappealing and a bit of a dive) so I looked into the bar just inside the lobby on the right. Hooked up with a tasty Thai (all Thais in there). BD 20 for the hour and BD 10 for the room. Room ok, nothing to write home about, but clean. Too pissed to get much of an impression of the standard of the girl. More willing than I was at the time. . . I'll have to check it out sometime in the future when I've had less of a skinful Stupid of me really.
Latest gen on other venues. I believe that Wrangler still has tarts. Last time I was there I was quoted BD 100. I laughed ! I've heard that the Warbler (Baisan Hotel) is now being called "the Chinese takeaway" by expats. I haven't frequented either of these two venues in some time, so this is just hearsay. When I get the opportunity I'll visit them and report.
It's good to see that this section is finally getting some life. I'm here for the whole summer (the 'trouble' is going back home) so I'll get some opportunity to monger in peace.

After my visit I was just wondering why the Phoencia is covered so much in here and there's no mention of places like TCs or Wrangler's where I ended up at. Is it that those type places (i.e., with Thais) are a dime a dozen? I can't believe there's that many places on the island like TCs with the number of girls there.

Yes its the nightclub on top floor. Virginia City though can be useful for punters not staying in the hotel and wanting an afternoon 'quicky' (between 3 to 6pm). Thats when the girls in the hotel are waking up and some may go down there for a meal.

If you mean for 'Phoenicia Disco' the place called 'Virginia City' you will just loose your money in buying garlands and nothing wil happen witht the cis ladies of band. They are stunners but they dont go for it, for having satisfaction guranteed, take a room and let them come to you, but I don t know if girls band are available, once I made it one gorgeous polish , told me was an exception. BTW, I suggest you to not go to early and avoid weekends.

I think you went too early to the Phoenicia Disco. In the past a few girls might hit it early from around 10:30 or 11pm, but they may have started to go later over time. I know when I dropped in a few months ago (around 1am) the place was hopping.

Even with striking out at the Phoenicia I still had a great time in Bahrain with three nights of fun with the Thai talent. The first night my buddy brought me to Tabasco Charlie's or "TC's" as everyone called it, in the Adhari Hotel. The place was packed with girls, mostly Thai but also some others (my guess some CIS, Ethiopians, Filipinas, etc.).

My guess is that at midnight when we showed up there were 50-75 girls there. There was a number of military guys but that was fine, the crowd was good.

I hooked up with a gorgeous Thai girl named Michelle who claimed it was her first night in Bahrain. I really couldn't care if that was true but her friend did seem to coach her and even took my money, 50BD for all night (orginally asked 70). It was a GREAT night with a couple of pops and then a nice extra in the morning before I dropped her off at a pre-arranged meeting place.

The next night we started at the Phoenecia as I described below. When that didn't work out, we went to the Wrangler where there were plenty of girls, mostly Thai again. Lots to choose from and I was tempted but because I was in Manama to work and had about 3 hours of bad sleep the night before I passed.

The third and final night we partied around town at a bunch of places I don't recall and ended up at Wrangler's again. My buddy and I were with two Thai babes again but mine pissed me off so I dropped her. There was limited talent there, maybe a dozen or so even worth looking at so I split up with my buddy and went back to TC's alone.

The crowd seemed a little thinner than Sunday night, but plenty of girls to choose from nonetheless. I finally hooked up with a pretty 30 year old (looked 23) who took my first offer of 50BD without hesistation. It was another full night of pleasure and she was really sweet.

Since I love Thai girls I had a great time overall and I'm looking forward to my next visit. I was looking forward to doing a Russian beauty but that'll have to wait for next time. 50BD for an all nighter with a gorgeous sexy Thai girl was well worth it. I'll go back anytime!
