I received mails from some girls that they wouldn't come to hotel because they'll get problems with police.

Thats a little bit surprise for me because here i read several times that it's no problem in Hotel Hilton or Intercontinental (after registration at reception desk and a small tip)

I agree with Visper about brothels.
You can even find them in the center of the city, you even don't know to take a taxi. Price was 20 dollars for about 20 minutes. So if they ask more, just say 20 dollars and nothing more...

There are perhaps some other brothels around the city in some suburbs, but why to go there if there are already some in the center or near the center.

I never found a beautiful one in a brother however, I would say around average quality...

I took Capprentice's advice and contacted Ana. I was in Bucharest for a week and saw Ana on two separate nights. We would catch up at McDonalds at 7 pm, have a drink and chat and then head back to my apartment and she would hang around until about 10 or 11 the following morning. Ana is definately worth seeing, its a bit like having a girlfriend with you. She is quite pretty (half Romanian and half Costa Rican) and is quite smart, good humored, sings and dances a lot - in short quite fun to be around.

The sex is good without being exceptional (again, a bit like the sex you get with a g/f after being in a relationship for some time), with oral both ways (though she doesn't like CIM) and no anal (Capprentice was lucky).

I paid her 40 euros each night.

NB I found the rest of the mongering scene in Bucharest sucks - no comparison to other E European countries.

Also, if you are looking for an apartment, be careful in dealing with starsuites accommodation. The operator, a guy called Victor, did a bait and switch on me - I booked a 50e apartment in University Sq but he put me in a 45e apartment in Uniri but still charged the higher price!

Then it comes the apartment brothels. Here prices are low but there are a few problems.

First of all this apartments are located in areas in which a western gentelman would feel very uncomfortable to walk in even during the day. Of course you may ask a taxi driver to get you there but it will charge you double.

The major problem is that even if you get there when the girls will see that you are foreigner will instantly double or triple the price.

I respectfully disagree with you Vlad. When I visited Buc. I followed the recommendations of this forum for apartments and found my cheapest and BEST looking girls from the apartments. Never did they try to raise the price on me and in fact would refuse any sort of tip the first or second time it was offered. If you stick to the strip clubs recommended on this forum, you will be fine. I walked in these so called "uncomfortable" areas and was perfectly fine. The club scene was out of control and was top tier. The university area was a great scene to sit down and have a few drinks. I strongly recommend anyone to travel to Buc. Just my honest opinion.

To be honest, I'd like to take your words into consideration. It's become VERY obvious to me that there are several different opinions on what a "good bang for a buck" means. But whatever, apparently this debate could go on forever, and would take me from my point. Like I said, I'd like to take your comments on my ability to "survive" in Buc to mind, but unfortunately, you leave me with nothing to reference. With your only post being the one below questioning me, I cannot determine what a good time is to you. Maybe $10 to a gypsy for a quick BJ in a petrol stations bathroom is good enough for you. Something like that, while enjoyable, would leave me wanting more.

Though limited, I have shared my stories, and pictures with all. I have replied to many PM's with contact information for girls I have been with, and always, in these PM's have stated something to the effect that these women are not $5 *****s. I have yet to get an angry PM saying someone felt ripped off. Sure many have never responed to me after their time with someone, if they even met them at all, and several have sent thanks. I will not mention peoples names, as I too was nervous about posting my experiences here at first and will respect their privacy as mine was, but I would wish that in one way or another, they would eventually stop lurking on these pages and comment on their enjoyable times in Bucharest.

Why did you do that 50 for 2hr? When you quoted someone paying 25 for the whole day. I dont know the price structure of romania but i do know price inflation. If 25 for the whole day is extreamly low and 50 is the norm than ok. I just wanted to know why you paid so much more than the other guy? This is not a flame, just a question.

Normal price structure in Bucarest is from 70 to 150 Euros for about 2 hrs. Only non-pros are cheaper. But it is really diffucult to find someone who doesn`t try to rip you off, so be careful.

I have been living in Romanian for over 2 years and working with many foreigners. It is not uncommon to see foreigners pay 3-5 times more than the normal rate for taxi. I even met a guy who paid 60 euros for a trip that should cost no more than 3 euros. I doubt anyone in the US paid more than 20 times than the correct taxi fare. There is a massage studio, if you speak English, the rate is 60 euro an hour. However, if you speak Romanian, you pay 20 euros. I found out so many times I overpaid for things after the fact when I had my Romanian friends call to check the price for me. (I do that when I suspect I was over-charged.) Of course people get cheated in the US too. But I would say it is extremely unusual for foreigners to be targeted compared to Romania. (I have many foreigner friends in the US and I have never heard any of them complained about getting cheated because they are foreigners.) I do not know what Vlad2005 is asking for to help out a foreigner. But I do know it is good idea to have some local people to help you out while you are here.

Based on the recommodation of Capprentice and the e-mail adress he submitted I made a contact with Ana by e-mail. She responded within a day and submitted her phone number. Unfortunately she wasn`t able to make an appointment during this evening and I had to leave next afternoon. But finally we agreed on a meeting the next morning at 11.00 am.

I met her at the Unirii square and had a coffee at the McDonalds. Her father is from Puerto Rico and so she is not typicall romanian but an interesting mixture.

We then went to my hotel and had a nice hour together. As Capprentice already mentioned she doesn`t be expierienced in BJ, but I had the impression she really liked the sex.

My problem is how black and white you try to make somethings when some of your claims are just not accurate. Which ones? Over the years that I've been going to Romania, I've been by myself, with no guide, speaking little Romanian (Ce faci, multumesc, sarmale, pui drag... very very very basic, but enough to make the ladies smile), and certainly never having met with you. Yet over these years, I have had great times, and would not consider myself to have been "ripped off" anymore than I would have in the states, over the same period of time, when seeing new girls.

When taking percentages or ratios of good vs bad, domestic vs. foreign into consideration, I have had better times for less money in RO than in the states.

Maybe it's the traveling aspect that makes us say that the girls in the countries we visit are better than the ones at home. Maybe it's purely the fact that we have different taste in women. Maybe we are both "right" in our own mind. But come on, to really say "let me show you girls while in my country otherwise you'll get ripped off," is simply false.

Yes that's right, that Rumanian people try to cheat tourists a bit more than in others countries.
That's the feeling that I also had.
For ex. to go to some apartments, when I called them, they asked much more than the normal price.
Secondly, the worst was the escort, they cheat you on the time. They said that they will stay 1 hour, but they will leave after 20 minutes. I had bad experiences with escorts in Bucharest and they are more expensive than in Kiev...
