Hapa,It's hard to find as there are many small lanes in Kabuki-cho. From the hospital, you head in the opposite direction from the Prince Hotel and when you get to the posters of the male hosts, you walk another two blocks then turn right, it's on the right side of the lane. Strawberry Jam is on the second floor but you go upstairs to Banana something on the third floor to pay then come back down to the second floor and wait in the waiting room. There were two or three Japanese guys waiting and when we walked in, they gave me funny look like I wasn't supposed to be there. The decor in the banana place is all yellow and the decor in the Strawberry place is all red. Kinda tacky. Then the jr. yakuza chimpira guys calls me to tell me it's my turn and points to a sign I can't read and rattles off the rules real quick. I speak enough Japanese but didn't have a clue that the chimpira was saying. Don't these chimpiras know how to talk slow? The only word I understood was "condom" and I thought I heard the word "scout." My Japanese friend looked at the chimpira and said "yep, he understood everything." in Japanese.

They don't let gaijin in but my friend got me in. I chose the 45 minute session for Y14,000. I had a cute skinny a-cup girl by the name of Nagisa. Also as part of my "research" have been reviewing some of the websites in the Tokyo Pink Guide.I am amazed and do not really understand, the pricing structure. One "hostess" bars shows the following charges:- entrance fee- set charge- companion drink- sofa charge- table charge- hostess chargeWhat are all these charges for? a "table and sofa" charge?Can anyone explain above these to me?I am sure that they also have a charge to take use the toilet.I am familiar with bar fines in BKK and PI, also have been to Costa Rica, Amsterdam, HK, Malaysia, where I enjoyed the local talent, but this is new one for me.Looks like I have to "mortgage" the house just to have several hours of fun.Hope someone can shed some light, so that when I walk into these places, I don't look foolishThanks - firebird

Hostess in Japan is alot different from other locations. I woud say 99% of the stores does not allow any kind of sexual conduct at all within the business premisses, nor does the establishment allow 'take out'. But depending on where you go, you might be able to arrange something with the hostess directly but often have to wait till they get off work. Be standard a hostess in Japan works as an entertainer, companion and just a regular drink buddy.Imo don't blow your money on hostess. Its expensive and often don't go anywhere at all. If you just want to have companion, for the same price of a hostess club you might have better chance in getting something out of it by going to a club and buying the girls some drinks!

I think one of the advantage in going to soapys is that its totally legal! No need to feel guilty or worried that LE might be around. But downside is that there is no realy penetration. I would say you might as well goto Shibuya or Ikebukuro via subway and just walk around. There are usually alot of shops around the Subway stations.

I have not tried Barbie however have called Kissmark on occasion. I think it was about 6 months ago, I had to send all three of the girls they sent back because they did not look anything close to the pictures and did not come even close to an acceptable level. I have never heard of either of these place, but I can tell you what I know about the former ("Barbie") just by looking at the home page for 3 seconds: the girl you request will not be the one who shows up at your door. I think it is kind of funny..... you can afford 15,000 for soapland but want to save 150 and walk another 10 mins?By the way, I while was living in Tokyo my house is one block away from to Hotel Intercontinental, the walk to Hamamatsucho is about 10mins (if you walk fast like the Japanese). Takebashi station is 1 min from the Hotel,so if you don't know the way to Hamamatsucho you might get lost, IMHO: better take the Yurikamome Sen to Shimbashi. After all you can see the Takebashi Station from the hotel. But than we are assuming yiu are staying at Intercontiental..... you might be on the other side of Tokyo Bay, Royal Park Hotel, or Park Hotel which is a 5 mins walk away from Shimbashi station. Like what Wabbit said, don't bother about how much to pay for tickets, once you reach desinations, go to the train master office at the exit and pour out all the coins and let him top up the ticket for you. They will not take mor then what is needed. Japan is a Safe and honest place.But all in all, why bother? a Cab ride from Tokyo bay is only 3000+ to Shinjuku or Ueno.... that is only 1/5 of what you pay in soaplandCheers!
