Hum...watching the Rose Bowl from O'Malley's....it's what we call exotic!
I don't know if the Kilt will be open (Yeaks! I don't want to know what we can see behind an open kilt......)
LoveStory; the party I am referring to is of course the night of the 31 to the wee hours of January 1.

Okay, how about Kilt?
O'Malley's?
Deep Augusta clubs (Balneiro, etc.)?
Is LoveStory REALLY going to be that happening the night of the 1st/ morning of the 2nd? I'm thrilled to hear that, I just want to make sure I didn't mislead you with the dates.

For someone knowing so much about Edson and Washingtons business, I would guess that you know his name is Edson and not Edison - right and that their previous club was called Jardim America and not "Jardins America". That club is closed now btw.
I have been there a lot of times and only once have I noticed behaviour that seemed like it involved drugs. I am positive there are individuals on coke in any of the boites in Sampa. W.E is probably not any worse than the other boites.
I have never stayed less than the 2-3 hours inside a room at W.E.
I have been with quite a few of their girls and none had "glued" hair.
I have never heard from any of my friends that frequent W.E. quite a lot or experienced the pressure to get a big room that you are talking about. In fact there is no hard sell at all - the is one things that makes people go back.
I think you should check your facts before posting this kind of slander. I agree that W.E. is expensive and not for everyone, but this is uncalled for.

Sui Generis is correct in the assessment of Club We, Edison and Washington are masters of taking a village or farm girl; lets say a strong 4 and turning her into a 8 and getting some poor sucker to pay 600r for 1 hour plus cost of entrance, drinks (no freebees or drink credits) and room.
Edison and Washington are nice hospitable guys the food is good and the rooms are nice, however don't leave home without your American Express.
Edison and Washington don't let many ugly girls work there so you get a nice visual presentation, like at all of their other clubs. my personal favorite was Jardins America now owns by Fernando.
I have personally had many bad experiences with girls from there and the biggy for me is the cocaine abuse that is apparent with some of the girls,
There was some Japanese guy there with a razor blade necklace that was very popular with the girls, hell at first I thinking he was a high roller but I realized the high part was correct anyway.
Second is that when you get down to the bare facts what you see downstairs isn't what you get upstairs.
I had my last session with a girl that went into the bathroom 1 min before we had sex and you could hear her tooting it up then came out of the bathroom draining and trying to get it back up in her nose. Ouch.
With her hard ass glued up fake hair. her fake tits and a well hid half ass body; by the time she came out of the bathroom well? you guessed it.
If you ever had sex with a girl coked out. It sucks she just laid there enjoying her high as i'm trying to bust a nut and go.
So! no nut needless to say, I don't go there anymore, at least not more than twice a year for more punishment.
Ok before I get the bashing from the members that don't like my harsh opinions and insight. Chuckles
Edison and Washington have hair and makeup people on staff to make the girls look as good as possible, hair extensions (where they glue hair to the back of their head to make them look like they have long hair) makeup and a nice dress or clothes to make them look as good as possible and i suspect that a boob job for the good earners is alway a nice perk!
Edison and Washington let the girls work the clients, a very big one is the room selection. The even have a presidential suite that I think brings 1,500 per night which means that if you get that room you will be in it alone after an hour or less chuckles, unless you are hooked or real drunk. They don't call them hookers for nothing.
The hook is that if we get a better room then I will give you a better time and after a few Johnny Walkers, your dick gets hard and your brains get soft.
Drinks and Champagne, which is common in most clubs so along with some type of hair and makeup person, just not nearly as good as Edison and Washington's staff
So to be fair about it Edison and Washington have a nice place with a few diamonds, It is a little pricey but not too bad.
It is a experience that is above average and I would still give WE a 6 on total experience. just go for the cheapest room and watch your wallet and consumption.
The doctor has spoken.

I agree with the poster below, Brazilian food should be tried when in Sao Paulo. Its quite inexpensive compared to the restaurants serving foreign food. Here is the best Minas Gerais restaurant in Sao Paulo voted by a unified press several yeras in a row: http://www.tordesilhas.com/

Posts: 988A Good Place to Eat Brazilian Cuisine
I've observed while reading this forum that most of the restaurants listed on this board are (mostly) serving Italian cuisine or are churascarias. Personally I like very much churascarias (I posted a couple of months ago the link of a fine one: Vento Haragano)
But, according to me, if you visit Brazil you must try at least the cuisine from Minas Gerais.
Here's a link to a very good one in this category:
http://www.consuladomineiro.com.br/cardapio.asp
It's not too expensive and there is a very large selection of cachaça (the pride of Minas Gerais!)
They have two locations in Pinheiros.

As far as costs in Sampa, I have only been to WE a few times and the last time I was there was the first that I actually paid 1000R. Outside of WE I typically pay around 300R for all night and probably around 150 -200R for short time (2 hours).
Coming away without sex with the girl from WE was an unfortunate incident, the girl was actually sick. I probably could have complained to Edison about it, but I did not go back to WE during my trip.
As far as prices in Sampa going up, I have been going there three of four times per year and the only thing that seems to change is the exchange rate. If the prices have gone up, it doesn't seem too dramatic.

In Sampa you can still have an escort for R$150. But habitually these are promotional rates. I am tempted to say that the current price for an escort (a good looking one, of course) is $R200.
I was told by my mentor and «role model» - a GP Guia emblematic member with more than a thousand posts - that I should never pay more than R$200 in Sampa. I've learned my lesson but other mongers are free to do what they want. If they can afford to spend that amount of money, good for them.

Thanks for your reports guys... but I have a couple questions...
What is "WE"? and what and where is it?
and..
You paid $1000 Reais for an all nighter? and one of them you didnt even bang? Please clarify.
I had a TLN last year for $150 Reais... 2hour session with an escort is $150...
This "WE" place sounds interesting, but I will avoid it at all costs if it means spending $1000!
or have prices gone up that much in a year?

When I travel I like to mingle with the crowd, with the natives of the city I visit. For this reason I eat where they eat.
Did you ever have a lunch in a lanchonete? (You know these popular (proletarian) and cheap restaurants where you can eat for less than $R10 or R$15?. These restaurants are also very small, they are habitually longer than larger and are furnished with wood and chairs tables. The menu is written on a chalk board and sometimes there is a couple of tables outside the lanchonete).
I've tried several of them in different barrios (for lunch) and I was always very satisfied with the quality of the food. I even discovered a plate I dind't know before: Virada paulista......(yum-yum!). It is habitually served on Mondays.
I'm asking you this because on my last trip I was with two French colleagues and they refused to try this kind of restaurant. Have you ever try or would you dare to try lanchonetes?
Happy Christmas to all of you!
Joyeux Noël à tous!
Feliz Natal a todos!

One of them (late 30's, long blonde curly hair and endowed with nice racks) was working in a bookstore in Pinheiros (I won't disclose which one because, being a non pro, I prefer to preserve her anonymity). One of the purposes of my trip (besides an International Congress) was to replenish my collection of Brazilian books (mostly literature, poetry and philosophy) and dictionaries. (I am also a free-lance translator). Besides bilingual dictionaries (Français/Portugais; Português/Francês) and specialized dictionaries (dialects spoken in the North East - o nordeste - and in Rio Grande do Sul) I was also looking to find a good general dictionary and I found one: Dicionário Houaiss da Língua Portuguesa
http://www.dicionariohouaiss.com.br/index2.asp
I think it was my lucky day, because when I went to the cashdesk in order to pay my purchases, I noticed that she was reading a novel in French! Well, being a French Canadian I had good grounds to engage a conversation with
her in French...and it worked out pretty well.
I met another one in a jazz club in Moema and finally I met a young woman (mid 20's) in the Iguatemi shopping Center while I was purchasing perfumes for me and my wife. She was selling perfumes. To be honest with you I didn't have sex with the last one but, however, I did spend a nice evening with her (she invited me to a famous restaurant in Sampa : The Spot).
In order to answer your question, I could reply this: non pros can be find anywhere in Sampa.
I'm leaving to Sampa later this week (tonight is Christmas Eve and I am working my usual shift in a homeless center in Montreal...my humble way to help the poors). I will come back with few reports. I will have less chance to spend time with non pros or escorts because my wife is coming with me....Damn! (Hush! My Brazilian GF is not even aware that I will be in Sampa...)
For a change, I will concentrate on different aspects of the city.

Posts: 2306Regular middle/upper class girls
" Has anyone on this board made attempts at picking up a non or semi pro in SP?"
All the time. Sao Paulo is IMO the best place in Brasil to pick-up high quality non-pros.
Regular women are MUCH more approachable in Sao Paulo than in Rio, as they don't have the "I'm a Zona Sul goddess" snobish and arrogant attitude that most of the middle/upper class Carioca bitches have. Paulistas are often educated, open minded, easygoing, interesting (they seem to be the only people in Brasil who travel abroad) and even in the upper classes, friendly. Yet you have to be in harmony with their cultural tastes, more progressive than in other parts of Brasil : per exemple, the rock and alternative scenes are VERY big in SP, most people in SP consider axe/bahiana music as total crap (I agree !), and it helps A LOT to be able to talk about bands like Raimundos, Capital Initial, Charlie Brown Jr, Legiao Urbana, Titas, Cassia Heller, ect, HIGHLY popular among Paulistas.
Anyway I've posted last month in this thread a list of my personnal favorite regular places in SP (most are live music venues in Pinheiros and Itaim) ; maybe the "SP Directory" is a better place for this kind of stuff, so I put it also there today.
Cheers
