Well done reports. Just curious where you stayed as it sounded like you were pleased in both cases.

Well they got hung with a pile of debt, cannot charge a whole lot since the hotel is pretty weak so they are in for it getting their investment back I think.

    Boca Chica room

If you have a nice place with a maid and cook, and if you have an extra room in your house, apt. or condo that I can lease for several months I would really appreciate it. I want to come to the D.R. from the states for a nice change. I am a bachelor and like that D.R. women are beautiful, plentiful, and aim to please. I am a good sport, low key, no trouble, and financially secure. If you don't have the maid/cook thing going let me know and maybe we can work something out.

    Respectfully,

    C.

The pool is nice if small (vs. Costalunga) but the breakfast is good and a fair price, better than Garant which was the best but I think it is far too much money now.

    A great time at ElCaucho

I just returned from 1 week in BC. I went there with a SCUBA buddy and ISG member (Diver Up). Our goal was to get some diving in as well as score some chicas. I can tell you all that we had a great time at both activities.

We stayed at the ElCaucho. Those of you that have stayed there know how the place is, and how friendly the owners are in providing excellent customer service. For those who have not, the complex has a quaint but small resort style. The rooms are arranged around a pool area. I front of the complex is a bar/covered patio area where most of the socializing takes place. This is where the in house chicas are located. They will not approach you. You must make the first move. There is a good variety of girls in various shapes and sizes. They are very friendly and sweet. The going rate is 1000-1500 ST. LT is probably somewhat higher, but I can't verify since I did not partake.

Also located in the front is a seperate building with a restaurant on the second floor above a first flor kitchen. The food is very good and priced fairly.

The strongest and best feature of this hotel is the attitude of the owners. These guys (Francesco and Abbey) will go above and beyond your expectations to insure that you have a good time. I compare it to like staying with family.

The scene on Duarte is livelier than it was last year. There are a few more clubs open, and the girls are easy and plentiful. If for some reason you don't like what you see there, you can always go for one of the in house girls at ElCaucho.

I met a lot of good people there and made some friendships that i know will last.

My buddy and I had a great time both diving and chica hunting.

BC is far from dead, and I can't wait until my next trip. Unfortunately I can't pull this off until next year.

I don't have any pics since I don't have the technical hardware.

I hope that this info is helpful. Keep it safe.

It has been a several years since I was in BC, but I did stay at Casa Coco. At the time it was owned by a Canadian expat and was guest friendly (very). There was one large room downstairs next to the pool. The rest of the rooms were a bit smaller however there was no air conditioning. It did have a nice pool and the food was very good.

Another trip I stayed at the Hotel Europa. Large rooms but a bit worn in my opinion. I moved to the Costalunga after two days and had no problem walking from there to the beach even at night.

Having a great time in BC

    Hey Guys

I'm at the ElCaucho and having a great time in BC. Those who have said that BC is a thing of the past are dead wrong.

I'll post a trip report when I get back. Too busy having fun with the Chicas, and drinking.

8 Days to go before BocaChica

I want to thank those who have answered my questions and those who have posted on the BC board. I'm headed there in 8 more days with a scuba buddy. I'll report back either from BC or when I return. I'm going crazy with anticipation.

just reading over some old posts and saw this. careful people, don't want to see anybody get in a jam. if the girl does not have ceduula there is no usually a reason. often it means either they are **** or have been in trouble somewhere and it was confirep001ed or they are afraid to return and get it back.(policia, ripped somebody off, ect...) the ramifications of either scenario are not positive.

Is it reasonable to expect to get through customs/luggage and afternoon traffic by cab to the Caribe station in SD in that time? I've never been to SD and I have no sense of traffic or the airport. TIA.
Based on my own experience, I'd say you should have no problem making the 5 PM bus and may well catch the 4 o'clock. To put your mind further at ease, according to the Caribe Tours website http://www.caribetours.com.do/, the last bus to Sosua leaves at 7 PM.

The trip takes about 4.5-5 hours and costs 7-8 US dollars. Taxi from SDQ to Caribe Tours maybe $25-30.
