Having been to Sydney about 3-4 times, but never long enough to go wandering, i finally got to stay long enough to do some exploring this month. The brothels were everywhere and there was a lot of advertisements in the paper, web sites and yellow pages - so i do not need to provide any info on these establishments. Same owner as men's Gallery, but larger and with more light. Long stage with 2 girls dancing, the show was good and you could see the action. Same tip process. The girls were more friendly, met a few English girls (why is it that i always meet local girls whenever i travel) who were students. I met a very nice Brazilian girl as well (From my experiences in HK and Tokyo when i heard she was from South America, i almost asked her to go away – but i am glad it did not because she ended up being a nice conversationalist). This was a restaurant with a floor show. You need to have lunch or dinner to view the show. The food was good, but minimal choice. Question to my fellow mongers in Australia regarding tipping ...

...do you tip your service provider? Is it expected?

I only ask because where I come from (NYC) it is expected, but I realize here in Oz that tipping isn't done in general.

I definitely wnat to make sure that I am following protocol, and yet do not want to be paying more that I have to be.

Any advice is welcome, thanks.

You are correct, tipping is not "expected" anywhere here, as staff generally get good wages compared with USA. But if you feel you got exceptional service you could offer around 10% and it will be greatly appreciated. If you are going to be a repeat customer in shop, a tip will usually get you better service, and maybe extras, next time around.

It's awful quiet around here, so I'll post my recent experiences.

I've been here a few weeks (I'm from the US), and had several nice visits to 509 Crown and the Penthouse. Both have given good service, but I like 509 Crown better, for the BBBJ standard and for the Asian ladies, to whom I'm particular.
