I had a similar experience to yours. In my case, I put my foot down. After the MM and I arrived at the hotel, she insisted on $$ up front, saying that she needed to pay mamasan. I had enquired here a couple of months ago about the best way to get from Guangzhou to Zhuhai/Macau, and while a few people tried to be helpful, nobody was able to explain just how easy it actually is, so I want to add that info now. If someone has already done so in the intervening time, sorry. This turned out to be the simplest part of my trip. In the DOMESTIC arrivals area of the Guangzhou airport is a bus ticket counter. They sell tickets to multiple cities in the region. The one to Zhuhai leaves every 20 minutes and run from fairly early in the morning until, I believe, 10PM. Sorry I don't have that exact info, but there was a big crowd around blocking a good view of the timetable. There was a Zhuhai bus with one seat left getting ready to pull away, so they hustled me out to take the last seat, and I was not able to note all of the times. These are typical long distance China buses, so the seats are a little small and uncomfortable, and the A/C could use some work, but it gets you to where you are going. The bus stops at both of the long distance bus terminals in Zhuhai. To the northernmost one took 2:15 and to Gong Bei took 2:45. This was the day before a major holiday, so it is possible traffic was worse than usual.

One more time for those that are still confused (I know you did it on purpose ANZ Man! ha ha...) here's the short of it:

1. ANZ and I followed a tout and saw good gals and cheap price
2. I left and decided to get a Lian Hua Road gal
3. ANZ went alone, got serviced by a gal, then got charged crazy fees, tried to leave and got roughed up
4. ANZ unleashed his nuclear bombs of Mandarin language charm and breakdancing skills and was able to get out of the situation...not only alive but even with a sauna recommendation from the dudes who roughed him up. Unless you, too, have these weapons of mass destruction, do not think you could acheive similar results.

5. So all of you out there, remember DO NOT FOLLOW TOUTS and if you find yourself in a shakedown DO NOT TRY TO GET PHYSICAL. You can try to talk to your way out, but getting physical = fatal beating/stabbing. There are hundreds of foot soldiers everywhere so don't think you can escape.

I've tried the sauna for foot massage and FS already and it's great. I still think CP saunas can't be beat for their consistent, excellent service but this would be my first choice in ZH. Big, clean, good service, lots of gals, so it's no wonder that there is a never ending stream of guys coming. I was waiting to see my boss or anyone else I knew...it's that type of sauna with a high "murse" (male purse) crowd walking into the place with a corrupt swagger. That means it's a good place, too, ha ha...Wouldn't really imagine it from the dingy outside, either.

I know this is a confusing report, but basically, the moral of the story is don't follow touts and don't fight back. It's not worth the $100-200 USD you may be forced to give up. Plus, DO NOT bring girls back to some ratty-ass hotel...rent something decent and you'll be safe, otherwise the ratty-ass hotel will be in on the scam when people bust into your room...

Back to ANZ's report inconsistency...as most resident mongers know, Chinese culture, and this includes Chinese mafia, have strong issues about face, so somehow, ANZ Man used his charms to change a situation where he was to be beatdown/killed into one where the guy gives him a sauna recommendation...ha ha...only in China...

The drivers all know this place, and johnny can give you detail location as he got my business card. Anyway, for the good room it's 280 at night and 238 during the date. the part that makes this place awesome is that is has over 100 girls working! I went there 2 times in 2 days after finding out about it and I was able to choose from at least 15 girls and still more wondering the halls that I did not get to choose. The compensation sounds fair. So maybe 600-700 for the KTV girls? One of the girls said they don't always get picked everyday, so they might like this arrangement.

I rarely get the chance to do a girl the second time, since there are so many. You feel that there is a high possibility that on the 2nd visit, the serivce drops considerably?

When you say the non-pros. Is that with compensation? I would think it is rare for them to go off with you for free unless you hit it off really well.

For this type of FS at the hot springs, bringing a gal with you is definately the best plan, and there are some things you need to consider:

I've been to the two most famous ones, one is Ocean Springs and the other is "the first Japanese-style hot spring in China" and I forget its name. Ocean Spring is the newest, the biggest, and the best. And there ARE extra services available, but it's not cheap and it's not for the general public, as in it won't be offered to every customer and it will cost about 600 for massage/HJ combo...a buddy made it out to be something "privilaged" but afterwards, I just felt wasn't anything special beyond SOP handjob, just done in a nice spa environment...ha...if you go to Ocean Spring, PM me. Actually, the best thing to do is invite some SW/massage gal/girlfriend/mistress to spend a weekend there with you. The nice ambience and relaxing nature of the whole place should translate to lots of sex. Ocean Spring isn't cheap though, and spending a nice weekend (transportation, basic hot spring access, meals, regular foot/body massages) for 2 should set you back about 1200-1500RMB.
