Sorry, I misread your post. 150 euros, this is a real ripoff then! What can I say, well, for other members going there, have some change...

I also agree that, with a cab ride to go there and back, it's not worth the money if you're not with friends and have only one session. I have a car so it's less a problem for me; for others, they are several to share the ride and have 3-4 sessions to make the most out of it.

As far as private apartments are concerned, I'm sure you have some good addresses. Just in case, here are a few places I know which are good (or should I say which were good when I went there. Haven't been back recently so can't guarantee anything but normally they shouldn't rip you off):

In 3rd week of November I plan a business trip to BCN.

Can anybody of you tell me a girl friendly hotel?

Well I'm not the perfect club hopper - I prefer to get the girls from the street directly into my hotel room - which can end in a funny (w)hole night.

The advantage is that you see the girls and can talk to them - without passing a mamasan or any closed doors in dark areas (especially in BCN).

Actually I didn't get robbed by paying 100 Euros. She didn't give me change when I gave her a total of 150 Euros! She told me that she'd do this and that also. I'm not really bitter towards Riviera because I actually kind of enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. It's just that one girl who was totally rude and selfish. A complete Jekyl and Hyde. I wouldn't go back because it's just not worth the cab ride there and back form BCN, the entry fee and the price of the girl. Add that all up and you're paying quite a lot of money for one night. I can save all that and stay in BCN, by going to a club there or a prvt house.

It's whatever each person feels like in the end. If you like that club like feeling, then go for it. It's just not my thing, especially since you're really not getting "Quality" service but more looks and knockout body.

I rather give the extra money to the girls in BCN who provide better service.

First, thanks for posting about your bad experience and warning other members.

In Riviera (and in all "careterra clubs"), in addition to the price the girl quote you, you also have to pay for bed sheet, towel, condom, etc..., but it's usually around 5 euros. The session price in Riviera has increased over the past few years and is now around 70-80 euros, some girls even asking for 100 euros. I was shocked myself, because it was only 60 euros last year, but I asked over 10 girls and none went below 70 euros last month.

So your normal price should have been 85 euros (80 + 5 for bed sheet, etc...). Paying 100 euros isn't really double the price and is not too much of a rip-off, provided the services are good (which aren't in your case).

I think you shouldn't be too negative about your first Riviera experience. Lesson to be learned is that you should have enough change to pay the girl the exact price agreed. They all try this "I don't have change" thing, they also try it when you give them a 10 euros bill for the bed sheet...

I agree with you about private apartments, they offer better services because their "boss" is watching them more closely but, on the other hand, you much less choice. Both are worth a visit when you are in Barcelona IMHO. I think you should give Riviera a second chance, now that you know the rules.

How's it going guys. This is my first international post and thought it was really necessary because my first trip to Spain was mixed.

Thanks for the recommendation to Riviera but let me just warn you guys on a horribly greedy girl I hooked up with. I think her name was MIERA or MERIA? You'll know who I'm talking about because she has this BIG Tatoo that says "GEORGIAN" on her shoulder surrounded by roses I think. She claims to be Hungarian and has a nose ring. She was ok looking but first told me it was 80 Euro, then when we got to the room I gave her two 50's and she says give me 20 euro for the room. I was like give me my 20 euro change first and she refused. I was like What the hell is going on here? I don't remember anybody saying they had to pay for the room? She refuses to do anything and tells me the clock is running unless I pay and get going. So I told her I want my change because I only have 50 euros, she says ok that she'll get it later from the cashier downstairs.

At this point, I'm totally pissed off because she lied to me about 80 euro, didn't give me my change and then took another 50 euros promising change for the room.

I quickly do this girl after she complains and complains and complains. Totally upset, I tell her to just hand job it. What happens? we both go down and I wait for the change as she goes to her locker, then never returns back to the floor.

I stuck around for another 30mins upset that she lied and took me for dbl of what she claimed. So I just took a cab back to BCN and never went back.

Took one for the team guys. I must've had just the worst luck because it doesn't seem anyone else had a problem. It's a lesson learned that any girl who gives you a hard time to begin with, just cut your losses and talk to the Security guard or Manager or whatever. They probably won't believe you or won't care but it's better to let it be known so that the Manager knows next time the person gives an attitude or rips off another client.

The place was awesome and I'm sure 90% of the other girls are awesome and fair. There were a bunch of awesome girls but I doubt I'll ever go back. I paid dbl the price but it was a lesson well learned. I much rather stick to the private homes in BCN. I got a much better service in the prvt homes compared to the Riviera.

Take care and be warned about "Miera or Meria" from Hungary who has a big Shoulder tatoo that specifically says "GEORGIA" OR "GEORGIAN"

London was cool too. It was a much more opened scene in London but I'll post my experiences there.

There are, however, similarities between barcelona and Buenos Aires: the taxis have the same color, and prices look pretty much the same - only that it's pesos in BA and Euros in BC!

Ok so I guess mongering isn't the best when there's a holiday in BCN. I got in Friday while everyone was blowing stuff up. The fireworks and explosions went on until 400am. The next day I went to three houses, Sant Eusebi68, Balmes74, Rosello328 all no answer. Again today I tried two other houses Calabria64 1st floor and Avg Paral-lel169 1a (black button) but could not figure which doorbell to ring. Tried Rosello328 again but no answer. Can I get a little assistance with figuring out the door directory.
I'll go to Riviera tonight but I'm concerned how I'm gonna get back into BCN. I guess I'll figure it out when the time comes.

Riviera

Everyone online agreed that Club Riviera was the best in Barcelona. The driver of the taxi I took wasn’t familiar with it, so as we got out on the Casteldafels highway and approached the 17.9 marker I wondered whether I was on a wild goose chase, but then there was a sign easily visible from the highway. The taxi cost about 3,000 pts ($15) each way from downtown Barcelona near the cathedral. Most other cabdrivers I used were familiar with it and said that it is widely known as the place to go. They are open from 5PM to 5AM. On the nights that I went there were several dozen girls mostly from Brazil, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, or Chile. Some are Russian or Polish. I did not meet any Spanish girls there.

I walked in with no hassle and no cover charge. I had read about people being made to pay a cover, and there were people standing at a window who looked like they might have been waiting in line to pay, so I walked in quickly and quietly to minimize the chance of someone looking at me and deciding that I should pay too, but I didn’t sneak in and every time I went back I walked right in and no one ever said anything. The room was filled with girls and I could see right away that I was going to be busy and happy. As soon as I walked in I was subjected to aggressive sales pitches. Girls walked up to me with huge smiles and put their arms around me. Some were pretty direct about wanting to go right up to a room. Some had a negative reaction when I turned them down.

Diana was part of the sales pitch crowd. She was cute, though not the best girl there. I picked her because she was cute enough that I would want to get to her eventually so I didn’t want to turn her down and maybe get a cold attitude later when I tried to go back to her. The rate for the girls was 10,000 pt per half hour ($50) and 20,000 for the hour, but I never had anyone try to sell me the whole hour and practically no one watched the clock even though I might have run over a couple of times. For 10,000 you were done after one pop with maybe some cuddling afterwards. The rooms were free, but you had to pay 200 pesetas for clean sheets. You could also rent a towel for 200 pesetas, which was not a bad idea, since the girl would wash your groin before starting and if you didn't have a towel you would have to dry off with paper towels. Drinks were about 2,000. One of the girls told me that the girls had to pay to work there, so I didn’t know whether the bar got most of its money from the girls or from drinks. I never bought a drink for myself the whole three days I was there, though I might have bought one for a girl. (Drinks for the girls were not much more expensive, at least not in percentage terms.)

Diana was Brazilian, which was probably the most common nationality in the club. She had straight brown hair down over her shoulders and was thin. Her face and overall figure were nice. The room was dingy and I had to wash in a tiny seedy plastic shower that would be barely acceptable in a short time hotel in Thailand. The sex was good with kissing and she let me do cim. It went all over her face and made a huge mess, and she didn’t wipe it off right away. We talked for a minute or two and then she said shyly “it’s a little messy” and got a towel. I tipped her an extra 5,000.

Back downstairs I was sill subjected to sales pitches, but much less than when I arrived, so I was able to do a thorough surveillance of the room and carefully pick who I wanted next. Barbara was the most gorgeous girl there, a hot blonde with Marsha Brady hair. Most of the girls circulated throughout the room, flirting with potential clients. But Barbara sat quietly against the wall. Even when I went up to her she wasn’t very animated, and when I asked her if she wanted to go to the room she acted like I had told her that her order was ready at the counter at McDonalds. The sex was the same way. It wasn’t awful, but the bj was covered and she wouldn’t kiss. She was clearly just going through the motions to earn money. She was one of the most un-Brazilian Brazilians I have ever met.
