I can't really say much about Hatyai now as I have lost touch with this place since I found my new playground @ Jakarta! Anyway I prefer Jakarta for my very own personal reasons! What I get in Jakarta, others may not get I've been tod. So like I said in the previous posting " To each his own! " For me Chan Rak Ther Jakarta translation I Love You Jakarta!

A few years back, It is well known that the Hadyai girls prefer Singaporean guys cause they tip more but since Batam, Bintan..etc area came about. A lot of SG guys moved base there since it is nearer and cheaper too !! Back then, the girls were complaining to me that Malaysian guys were cheapo..never give tips la, this la, that la....well, i say that they deserve the situation they are in right now. No disrespect to SG guys but a big part of Hadyai town was built from a lot of Malaysian money through retail shopping, girl money, night life....etc. Look at Danok now. It is booming !!! And i would say 80 % of the patrons are Malaysians.

And since there are a lot of weekly, monthly patrons. We definately do not need to pay tips !! Of course, SG money is more than double our rate. So to SG guys it is still cheap compared to Geylang.

Of course, if the girl gives you extremely good service, a 500 baht tip would be MORE than sufficient.

Thanks for the update bro ! And yes unfortunatly there are some buggers who dont pay a single baht in tips even if the girl gives them 'A' class service! Honestly haven't been there for a few years since I found my new playground @ Jakarta & was surprised to find out that the average tipping is between 500 to 1000 Baht and I thought it was only Singaporeans who tip that well.

This is not exclusive only to Singaporeans, but to Malaysians as well. However there are a small minority of customers who do not pay a single baht tip despite the excellent service by the girl.
