2006 Medellin Reports

During the Fiesta de Flores, it looked like they cleaned Mayorista up a little....well for the last weekend anyhow. Tables were set up along most of the section....clean, new looking tables and chairs.

In fact, a buddy and I sat down and ate some fine looking roast chicken right off the roaster/spit. I thought that it would be safe as it was steaming hot, but took no chances with any side dishes. The waitress was even decent looking and very friendly. Slow night for food, lots of staff, so she sat with us while we had some chicken.

Below is a report from a recent two day visit in Medellin:

Hotel:

Made reservations with Servicios Efectivos (3122688)-
Nice big apartment complex near Parque Lleras and the Plaza Rosa hotel. Cost about $50 per night. Very quiet place away from heavy traffic. There's a place down the street at the end of the V that has great hamburgers.

Massage:

Loutron- Around $60 for the hour. The girls here are top notch, but I guess considered expensive compared to the other place I visited.

New Life- Not as many girls as Loutron, and also not the same quality, but still I found most of them to be very attractive and cost me around $25 for 45 minute session.

Discos:

Mangos- Went here on a Thursday night and had a great time. Unfortunately I had an early flight on Friday and didn't have too much time to stick around. Non pros can definitely be had at this place and I did get a # from a beautiful Paisa. My only regret here is lack of time. You will need to speak some spanish if you plan on going after the non pros.

Bars:
Just walk around Parque Lleras and you'll see a bunch of places to sit and have a drink. Lots of eyecandy here. But I did notice that most of the women were already with guys. I met a stripper from Miami visiting her folks down here. She ended up being a great tour guide and excellent GFE.

Food:

Ate at a place called Angus Brangus. Great place if you like steak and ribs.

Gringos:

Just back. Unless you are into the Feria de Flores, it is a good time to avoid Medellin, though there are a couple of crazy events. The traffic though can be unbelievable...turning a 3,000 COP cab ride into a 6-7,000 COP cab ride.

Mayorista, my experience:

The first time I there there was Fernando (cab drive) Scooby, Hugh Grant and myself. Now my policy is to always error on the side of caution.
