We just returned from a quick weekend trip to Bogota and wanted to clarify some things that might have been missed in the previous reports and to add our own impressions.

First of all the difference between the girls in Medellin and Bogota is noticable in favor of the former. Having said that there are plenty of cute girls to be found in Bogota and their attitude overall seemed less noticable. In fact it was easy to make out with regular girls in the clubs, and I thought overall the girls were more opend minded compared to Medellin.

For nonpro action if you are looking to meet regual girls the best one currently is Saint Angel (or San Angel) which is on the same street around Park 93 where all larger clubs are. Come early and get a dinner table; later the restaurant turns into a club. The appetizers are outstanding. Having a table and a couple of bottles on it will help you later on with the hotties dancing between the tables.

Downtown strip clubs. This mainly concerns El Castillo and La Piscina. El Castio seems a notch above in quality of the atmosphere and decor. Other than that both had hot girls. If you arrive before 10 PM the action is slow, picking up by 11 and reaching its peak at midnight. I sampled an 18 year old from Medellin and the price was 62,000 pesos total with 12,000 going to the house. My friend paid 80,000 total to another one. This is for 20 minutes. The prices are very reasonable if you are willing to deal with mostly locals and not as nice a neiborhood as some areas in Norte of Bogota are. Outside the strip clubs, there are many SW and some of them are cute.

Zona Norte strip clubs. We never got the chance to visit any except one but it was too early and it was empty. Most taxi drivers recommended La Mansion and being very $$$$ strip club and the best in Bogota. Unfortunatly we cannot confirm. One taxi driver told us the quality of the girls is 30 to 40 percent better than that of the ones found in downtown clubs. I would like if somebody could confirming that and report here.

The rest is about food and the city itself. The north part is clean and pretty. A lot of US style loft apartments with oversized windows and some new construction is evident. The malls (there are several in that area with the best one being El Retiro) are close to world class. Zona Rosa (and Zona T) areas are clean and safe and is a good place to have dinner and start the night in one of its lounges. We would also like to recommend a place in that area to eat called Piazza Luna which is open until 3 and turns into a lounge/cafe Pravda and the menu changes. Order Balsamic Beef (25,000 pesos): one of best beef cuts we've had. The salad bar is also great. Later on at night the place gets croweded with a hip local crowd. Their martinis and the food are also great.

Overall very good impressions.

Does anybody have any rooms for rent with Wi-fi internet? I am tired of staying at hotels that are over priced. Why doesn't the Aussie start up a a house here, it is better here than medellin, even though bogota just had a car bomb.

Suites Real 85 is cheap (~USD50), very conveniently located, very chica friendly, and totally comfortable. I've had agency girls come up to my room without any fuss, and I've brought several home as well. The rooms have a separate bedroom and a kitchenette. The minibar is actually reasonably priced--first time I've experienced minibar beer for less than USD1.

I found a great taxi driver today. Honest with good rates - 12k per hr. Name is John Aguilera. Cell is 3124456142, or call 35555555 and ask for movil 214.

I went to La Piscina during the day and had a fun session with a chica. Good sense of humor, good service although a bit animated. Later I went to both th El Castillo and La piscina (night). I found the women to be more attractive, but no knock outs and I found their attitudes left a lot to be desired. Harder and very professional. I passed. Later I found an acceptable vessel and finished the evening.

Overall I found during my short stay that the quality is lacking overall and nearly every chica was condom crazy. I would not come back because there are much better places to go.

There is one exception. The Museo de Oro was magnificent and made the trip worth while.

@hotel guest surcharges - i'm not sure if you read the forum before your trips, but la boheme, morrison hotel, hotel charlotte, hotel colon, etc. in zona rosa have always charged those ridiculous fees for overnight guests. or, in the case of hotel charlotte and hotel colon, you cannot even bring in guests who aren't registered when you first check-in. seriously. it's due to its location, and generally the regular clientele of the hotel. you should call and verify ahead of time at other hotels.

there are several hotels/apart-hotels in the zona rosa/parque 93 area that are much cheaper, just as safe and convenient to all. moreover, you can bring in multiple overnight guests. you might want to read up a little. they've been posted before.

@ sante fe - the normal on-site rates at la piscina and el castillo are between cop50.000-cop70.000 (room included), depends on the girl. all-nite rates will vary, depends on the girl and how much work she's put in that day already. many of them end up at fortaleza after work (after 2:00 am), and it's easy pickings for all-nite, at cop80.000-120.000. again, depends on the girl, and how good your spanish conversation is. i prefer the nights down in sante fe. not recommended as it's much more dangerous, but much more fun and the talent is ripe.

during the day, piscina del dia is ok around 1:00 pm. but you must understand that most girls work late at nite, esp. the better-looking ones. you can enter most of the bars without paying a cover, just a cursory pat-down by security. they start to enter the sidebars down in sante fe around 4:00 pm. at the sidebars, the rates are cop25.000-cop40.000 (room included) for 20-30 minutes on-site. if you don't see anything worth it, head to another place. la piscina/el castillo then picks up around 7:00-8:00 pm.

other daytime action, check out the massage parlors abejitas or mantis club in zona rosa. full service should run you between cop100.000-150.000 (incl. massage) for an hour on-site. verify prices up front with your chica, as full service price depends on her.

warning - unless you like getting ass-raped on your bill, stay away from the zona rosa clip joints like casanova, copacabana, xtasis, el cerdo, and i guess, lancaster. these are the clip joints, from a bottle of water costing cop12.000 to a beer costing cop15.000 to a glass of whiskey running cop20.000-25.000. the chicas will quote you cop200.000 to $100usd, and it really isn't worth it. but arrangements can be made to meet somewhere later for less. i was able to set-up 3 chicas from casanova come to my hotel for tln for cop250.000. i was also able to get two chicas who work at juan pablos, but ended up in lancaster, back for tln for only cop200.000 total incl taxi.

i only say this to say, be creative. anything is more than possible in the p4p scene.

Ihave one comment regarding the high surcharge for bring girls into your room for a friendly get to gether. Inquire about the cost of double occupancy. It is $25 per day at the La Boheme and I am sure it is less at other hotels. For those multiple scores in your room this is a pain less solution.

The other observationabout Bogota is thas the prices appear to have doubled in the last 10 months. Not a good sign.

I Went to the salt mine cathedral today - interesting place. If you are a Catholic you will be delighted and blessed as well. After that, I returned to Santa Fe and found a cute chica who attempted to arrouse me with a BBHJ, but her hands were too cold. Plan B was better - my hands were warmer. A good CBJ and a very good FS, all for 25k cop - thats $10 plus a 5k cop tip. Everyone was happy.
