You can always just say you're visiting IKEA, or FNAC, which are in the same building. Then slip out, find the elevator, and push the 15. I went to Caesar's last week and had a reasonably good time. I felt it was run with the usual Taiwanese efficiency and the staff were polite and friendly, though of course it seems everyone with this kind of job is bored. I didn't have much time, and anyway the baths and fit out of the sauna seem a bit run down, though probably no worse than average. The first girl came in and said "may I help you" and I said no, then they sent a second girl. She did seem to take her job seriously, giving me a variety of hot tea blowjobs and even a knee job. ez, you wont find a place in taiwan similar to macau or anywhere else. heading out of taipei does increase the possibilities but also some of the risks as well. having a local from the area concerned who is prepared to show you around and introduce you etc is worth a great deal.

taichung and kaohsiung have a fair bit going on from what i see when i go down, but almost all of it is mafia controlled, and they are not so discreet about dealing with issues there as they are in taipei, local boys in blue are in the pockets.

Dar425 - in the area just to the north of the station there are many narrow lanes between the main streets. This area has clothes markets, hardware shops and many cheap hotels all of which quote a rate to 'rest' (xiu1xi2) for 2 hours. It is quite an interesting area. It is friendly, I have walked there many times but you will need to speak Chinese. And some of the places they prefer Taiwanese.

I hadn't really noticed the tea shops but next time I visit I will look more closely. If your friend could give names of shops or the road that would be helpful. Looks like it will be heavy rain here all day today so it won't be today.
