I will be in Havana in the beginning of April and I want to visit Cienfuegos or other towns. I found a casa in Vedado (2 rooms for 20 CUC and the owner speak english very good, offer to rent a car for cheap). It'll be my first time in Cuba also. I am going alone. Maybe you want to meet in Havana and share the info about everything, go to clubs to meet chicas.

I'm headed down to Havana end of March beginning of April and this will be my first time going down. I was checking to see if anyone else will be in Havana around the same time and maybe I can get some info from some people. I would need a casa to stay in has to be chica friendly and not to far from the action. Do they play any dance / hip hop music anywhere in Havana? A very good replacement might be the top floor of Linea #10. Right at the Malecon. Bar full of hotties in the basement. A block to the Nacional. Totally private place. Look to pay around $30 - 35 but you have a balcony, view etc.

My favorite casa in Havana is no longer for rent so I'm looking for some help in finding a replacement. I've been staying in Vedado on Calle 1ra down the street from the Melia Cohiba and the Rivera. The place I stayed in was a stand-alone one bedroom, A/C, and a balcony overlooking the Malecon and, needless to say, g/f (since I was the only one there they never had to show their carnet). I checked the Miramar forum and there seem to be some good places there but I don't usually rent a car so I like being close to those hotels because it's easy to find a taxi. There is also the supermercado in the Galeria de Paseo. I'm subscribed so if you'd prefer you can PM me with suggestions. I'm headed back at the end of April so I'd like to book something soon.

I go to Cuba about 3 time a year for the past 10 years. Yes, things have changed dramatically in that time. Things are not as easy but it is still possible. Some places more than others. In Oriente, things are particularly difficult which prevents me from going there. I always stayed in Guanabo but the night life has really fallen, so I have ventured more to Habana these passed few trips. While I have my regulars, I always find a new friend every trip. You have to know the rules of the game in order play. It surely helps that I am somewhat fluent in the language but I have run across other Yumas that are not and they are able to have a good time. If you have the look of desperation or think that you do not have to pay something for company because you're young or handsome, then indeed for most, Cuba is not the place to visit for a mongering trip. However, what do I know?
