Last Sunday I was up at 4:30am and decided to head over to Electra. The pronunciation is somewhat different in Spanish, so with minor difficulties, I was able to make the trip from Laguito over to the club by 5:00am. A quick trip; I think it cost me 10.000 COP (a little over $4) to get over there, but I'm not sure.

Electra is tighter quarters than La Dolce Vita. More smoke. The girls there are, in subjective terms, not as nice on average as the girls in LDV, although there is a lot of cross-over. Electra opens around the time LDV closes. I think there was a group of four regular hotties from LDV working a corner of the place.

One of them was Alexandra - she has very large fake breasts, 'blonde' hair and can often be seen during the day around Loco Gringo and punto.com cafe. The girls with her were cute paisa-like, brunettes with light skin, but I think they are locals. They left Electra around 5:30am without any business. I've dealt with some of them in the past, one of them wanted money up-front. No joy there. I think they may hit up gringos for big money, short-term stuff, and they stick to that game plan. I don't know.

I left with Esther a 23 year old nursing student from Barranquilla. Short and classic coastal brown, a non-smoker with no plastic surgery. The trip back to Laguito cost 5.000 COP. The normal rate. She pointed out Esther is a "bad" girl in the Bible, but for better and worse, this Esther could use a few pointers on bad behavior. Unremarkable sex - not bad, but nothing to write home about. I really wanted her to go directly after screwing her, but she "kind of" slept a bit, so I took the attached photo and did her again.

She stayed until 8:30am. It turns out she is living in the building "Los Angeles" which is the building Riquisimo BBQ is located in, the default dining location for many gringos in Laguito. She pays 15.000 COP (shy of $8) daily in a space she shares with two other women. Pretty decent for Laguito, eh?

Interestingly and pleasantly, she did not want to go back to her apartment dressed for night work. A signal that she is a regular girl, still holding onto some shame over her work. She called one of her roomates who brought over some street clothes. They left together.

I overpaid her. 200.000 COP since we had no discussion of money beforehand and I did not want to discuss it after. I wanted her to leave happy, which she did. Not the least expensive way to go though, which one key reason why you would go to Electra in the early morning.

As far as I could tell, there were little or no gringos at Electra and many Colombians. From a negotiating point-of-view, it's ripe territory. Esther made a point of underscoring she was a pro when we left; this was obvious to me; I had talked with her for maybe five minutes and did not dance with her at all before telling her I was going and she should come along. I sort of think, if I had spent more time romancing the situation we could have pretended the whole thing was not P4P. I do think that could have happened, but honestly in the end it was nice to kick her out and get on with my day.

Since then I've seen her once in LDV at night and once in front of Riquisimo, with some friends, in the mid-afternoon.

I had the same experience with Esther back in february, Picked her up in Electra as well.

You're right mule69, be careful with this Santanderiana as she can become 'sticky'. I had a few good, not super, sessions with her. Once I asked for a treesome she agreed and proposed me a couple of girls with whom she wanted to make it. Once it bedroom she started making problems as she felt emontionally undervalued. That's funny. I was thinking when I typed out "Caroline is twenty years old" that what I ought to say is "Caroline says she is twenty." I don't think that is too far off, the way she lives is hard and fast, but she will always lie if she thinks it's good for business.

My understanding is the cut-off age for girls in LDV is 26; you should not find girls over 26 in that disco. I don't know how true that is, but thinking about it, it seems to fit with reality.

In terms of photos, the stuff I took of her was for some internet boyfriend(s). I was doing a favor for her and for my friend. So, I never ask if she would mind having them posted here. I feel like I can post a relatively anonymous photograph, but never got the word on more explicit stuff.

Milena is a thin girl - "flaca". No tattoos. She does have a kid, but it's not that obvious from the tight dresses she wears. She is coastena. In her case, that means she has somewhat brown skin without being African. Brown hair. She does not smoke. I don't think she drinks. I think, currently, there are only two flaca regulars outside the disco. The other is Angelina (Zidaho posted pics of Angelina on 11-10-06 in the Colombia Photo Gallery). Apparently, Angelina is no longer able to get into La Dolce Vita. I think she would be a good deal as well, inexpensive and willing.

After 3am, when LDV closes, Angelina moves business to a bar next to the Tu Candela bar. This might be a good option for guys looking for cheap late night entertainment.

Many of the other girls outside LDV, during club hours, are not my type.

I really should have a picture of Milena up against a wall in one of those dresses, but I don't. We had a conversation once about mixing photographs with this business. I like her and I was going on about how she should never do it, because it's something she would probably need to explain to her grandchild. I went on about how these photos aren't going to go away. Caroline is twenty years old. She comes from Bucaramanga. She is one of the more attractive girls who normally works in LDV, generally picking up customers faster and charging more for her time. She tends to attract Italians and sometimes earns serious tips - one seemingly rich Italian was moving a good bit of money to her in January. He had gone home after a couple of weeks in Cartagena, time spent almost entirely with Caroline. He started sending her money once he got home. "You're not working anymore are you?".

She is not the most honest person. She drinks a lot and does drugs. This is the hooker your mother warned you about.

I've talked with her a bit and she is the friend of a friend. It's funny the responses she gives me when I ask certain questions:

"What do you do with your money? "School, my kid brother, my mother....."

But when I talk with my friend about her, it sounds like nearly all her money is going into clothes, shoes, jewellery, perfumes, rent and so forth. She's vain and it's clear she does not value something unless there's a convincing brand stamped on it. No big surprises there. It explains how Studio F is able to stay in business in a town where clothes are basically cheap. We've gone out to eat a couple of times. She's very focused on where we eat, not so much on what we're eating.

Still, she does mind the shop. I've never slept with her, it would tick off my friend, but I know when she's in Cartagena she works the venues every night she can. The fact that guys repeat night-after-night with her is a strong endorsement; she's got to be doing something to keep these guys happy. But I was recently talking with our common friend and it sounds like the Hong Kong plan fell through this year. Since the documentation is false and the ticket is so expensive, it's risky for her. If she pays for both and does not make it to Hong Kong she's lost a lot of money with no quick way of earning it back. So, I think she was not happy with the documentation this time, got nervous and bailed out of the China idea.

My friend thinks she is currently in Panama, where she can earn better money than in Cartagena.

Ok here is my take on exchange rate. As stated before, Divide by 2 then divide by 1000. You actually end up spending even less than estimated. This is a good thing. For instance.... 60,000 divided by 2 = 30,000. Then divide by 1000....This is about 30 bucks. Yeah!!! but if you take the actual exchange rate, lets say... 2280 to one, the the actual amount spent is really 26.31. You spent about 4 bucks less than estimated. So just divide by 2 then remove the three zeros and it is easy and in you favor. Cool huh?

This past Monday I was sitting outside La Dolce Vita on one of the benches, chatting with Milena. You generally find Milena from Barranquilla on the benches outside LDV. She wears short tight dresses which compliment her long slender legs. Since so many of the girls on the Colombian coast opt for jeans, the tight dress is a nice change of pace.

Milena may not be the prettiest girl and does not have large breasts. Still, she's got fine legs and a fine butt. From behind, she is entirely great. She looks excellent in those dresses.

Another great thing about her is, in my experience, she drives a soft bargain. Milena started negotiations with me for all night at 130.000 ($59).

He has serious power with the girls. All that tight young tail immediately marched back inside with a snap of his fingers.

There were three hot girls on the bench next to where Milena and I was sitting. It was damn hard to focus on anything when those three move across the plaza. For a moment, I was thinking I should just drop short my conversation with Milena and cut a deal with those three girls. God they looked fine in those jeans as they walked back inside.

The thing is that Milena looks just as good from behind. And, unlike the hottest of chicas in La Dolce Vita, I know she's softer on bargaining and is generally submissive.

My guess is you could talk her down from 130.000 COP TLN, but it's a pretty fair price for what you get and the fact that she starts off in reasonable negotiating territory is just plain pleasant.

Anyway, I went with her on Monday. I brought her up to the place I was staying, showed her the various views from the windows. While she was checking out the last vista, I stood behind her. I pulled up her dress and pulled down her panties. No troublesome jeans!

In August 2003 $2847 COP= $1USD
Last week $2172 COP = $1USD

The rapid conversion is now: Take the "thousands" and divide by two i.e. drop the last three digits. If you want better accuracy, then subtract 10%.
