I just returned from Dubai. I spent two days at the Dar al Sondas Apartments by Le Meridien. Dar al Sondas is 100% girl friendly. It was also cheap (550 AED per night including taxes) and very large rooms. They upgraded me to executive junior suite that included breakfast and internet. But I overslept and missed the breakfast. When I arrived, I took the bellhop aside and asked me if I could bring a guest. He said it was no problem, but I might be asked for a copy of the girls passport. Later that night after midnight, i brought a girl back (see FR) but nobody at the front desk or security even gave me a second glance. However, I did get some funny looks from two well-suited businessmen who were in my lift!

As for Four Points, I obviously fucked up. But I swear I looked at the Sheraton and Starwood websites 10 times and the other 4P hotel never came up in my searches.

I think the S4P you found, must be a new one on Mankhool road. I had previously not known it to exist. I guess it opens in July.

Having said that, you ended up updating the status of Dar A Sondos, which is great. It also appears you enjoyed your stay at a well priced hotel, which is close to the action.

Well Gujuboy, I don't know of any Swedish blondes that are Wg's but my best bet would be to try a nightclub called Zinc located in Crowne plaza hotel since Emirates aircrew gets 50% discount on drinks there and its therefore infested with emirates employees and usually you can find a couple of blondes there (scandinavian). Also for your friends I am sure there will be women that fit their taste from but alas no Wg's. so buy a bottle and get a "VIP" table in the back and hope to score. Good Luck

Regal is widely known as a "no-no" GF Hotel. Can you confirm for sure that you have stayed there for a small fee, how long ago since they last allowed you to take a chick up?

Last time I stayed there would be 4 months ago been staying at Winchester more recently. Over last few years stayed there maybe 3 or 4 times.

I guess things may have changed but when I was last there (January) there was a queue of mongers getting processed by the very effecient Indian team behind the reception desk. All paying 100 for their WG's.

Would be keen to know if its still GF as I liked it there. Cheap and close to the action.

Is the Bollywood club still going on the 4th floor? I went there few times and if you waste enough money buying tokens for the dancers the boss man gives you a dancers mobile number. Not a good investment.

Going to back again next month for 6 weeks so hoping Cyclone may reopen?

I have heard now from several people that they have stayed in RP recently and did not have any problem at all to bring the girls to the room, RP seems to have changed there policy and is now green.

I used to stay at Regal Plaza and they allow wg's with a photo of the girl's passport and a 100 UAED fee. Bit embarrasing but after a few beers. Stay as high up as you can as the noise from Rockafellas can be a pain.

I booked a room at the Dar al Sondas apartments. I'm not sure what you're talking about regarding the Four Points, because I just checked the Starwoods website again and this is what it says:

"Four Points by Sheraton Downtown Dubai - Opening July 1, 2007. Not yet bookable. ...The information listed above is for the hotel's physical address. The Four Points by Sheraton Downtown Dubai is currently accepting group inquiries at the pre-opening office. Individual hotel reservations are not being accepted at this time."

Regarding others, hmm, Panorama is one and recently a monger reported Regent Palace as one which allows with a surcharge.

PS, no mention on the Starwood site, of the S4P being closed till July for Renovations. You can easily book then for June it seems.

Avoid Savoy appartments turned up there once with two lovelies to be turned away, had to go back to their palce, a hovel in Deira. The things we do in the name of Mongering.

I believe Dar Al Sondos apartments are just down the road from Imperial. So should be close enough?

Is some big event happening in Dubai next week? I can't find a room at the usual GF places. The Four Points is closed until JULY for renovation. The Ramada Bur Dubai is fully booked.

I don't have time to dig through layers of threads on here so I'm going to pull a newbie question and ask: what girl friendly hotels are located within the Golden Triangle, besides 4P and Ramada? Thank you!
