Posts: 707Help on Thai airways website special fares please !!!
Hi, this email is for some of you familiar with Thai airways online special fares.
Here is the problem : I am trying to invite a Chinese girl friend to Thailand. Obviously I wish to pay as less as possible. I am the payor, I am not in China at the moment, I wish to buy online with my credit card, I won't be part of the trip since I will be meeting her at Bangkok airport, and the airoport the girl will depart from is not elligible to electronic ticket.
Thai airways have some very low fares which must be purchased online, that I cannot find on anywhere else, even on cheapfare.com and so on.
The tricky thing is these tickets would have to be purchased not later than three days after booking, the person collecting the ticket would have to be me since my credit card has to be shown for charge and collection. What they call "purchase online" is actually booking online and showing up in a Thai ticket office (not airport office) of the country of departure to pay and collect the actual ticket. I don't know any Thai airways Chinese staff to bribe for help. I cannot ask the girl to go to the Thai office and pay cash to withdraw the ticket, as she lives too far away from this office.
Your mission : find out what is the way around that.
Your reward : a beer in Pattaya if you find the solution. And maybe my Chinese girl friend on top, if I get bored with her. She is hot and sweet, with very large breast for a Chinese. At least, if the operation is a success, you will enjoy some nice pictures of threesome (Thai+Chinese+me) on the thread soon.
Thanks

promo deals from airlines is that there is usually no availability on the advertised fare and it doesn't include taxes and fuel surcharges. What is actually available is usually much more during the summer..they can advertise anything that want, but that doesn't mean it is available in the world of airlines.
The actual cost of the a flight from SEA to BKK on EVA is $265.00 more than whatever is advertised due to taxes as well.
The net fare is still prety good even if you add the taxes and fuel surcharges, but it totes out to about $1175.00 and is impossible to get..what is avilable thru thru the end of august is more like $1500.00 all in. I've checked for my own trip.
This summer is expensive, due to full flights, fuel surcharges, and taxes. I've decided it's about $200.00 or more than the best deals last year.
Cheers,
Sean

Posts: 117Thanks for all the info
Thanks for all the VERY GOOD information. I will use most of the suggestions and just bite the bullet in the end. I am also thinking of spending a couple days in BKK before moving on to Pattaya.

I am a newbie both in this forum as well in Thailand. I would like to know what the legal age is in Thailand. I prefer the younger girls and would like to get any advice you might have!
I will go there in the end of august and I basically need advice on everything from accomodation to events and "fun".
Could you guys please help me?

I'm landing in Bangkok on Tuesday (3/7) evening for my first ever trip to SE Asia and would really appreciate it if there were any experienced mongers who would be willing to show a newbie the ropes. There's some beers in it for you.

Posts: 1719High Season - High Fares
June 1 - August 30 is the high season. Fares are $200-300 higher than the low season.
September/October and Jan 15-Feb is the shoulder season. Fares are about $100 higher.
Rest of the time is low season.
Airlines have cut down on the capacity between US and SE Asia, so they have high load factor. So they have done away with discounting.
Quite a few airlines have done away with large Travel agent commissions. Even Thai has done that, so it is not cheap anymore to fly with them. July 30-Aug 9 fare LAX-BKK RT is $1381.
Best bet EVA air. They have a promo from Vancouver at CAD 1099. (USD 1025) Must purchase ticket by June 30. See the pdf file attached.

That company doesnt fly asia anymore I called to find out some info and just found out. Try out http://www.cheapoair.com/ and get a flight from ORD to LAX for about $300. Then LAX to BKK for about $900-$1050. Best I can come up with.
