This is exactly what I meant about a concensus on the price issue, we will never have it because we all have different views on how to spend our money. Its also un-realistic to expect the price of working girls to remain steady while every other goods/services has increased over the years.

sorry, but you use the wrong logic.
You may think in dollars and therefore the exchange rate matters to you but the girls think in baht and they don't care about such things.
Why should they, everything they have to pay for is priced in baht.

Not many of the goods these girls consume are affected by the exchange rate of the dollar as most of it is lodging, food and energy. A dollar is a dollar as much as a baht is a baht.

I fail to see why the exchange rate of the dollar alone should lower the prices in LOS, especially for those services the girls provide to us. A price isn't only affected by an exchange rate but also by the price of the good itself and therefore depends on demand and supply. Let's take oil for example, it's priced in dollar. The exchange rate went down from 41 to 31 (approx. 25% down) but the price in dollar went up from 20 to 70 per barrel (approx. 250% up). Guess what has the bigger impact ?

Additionally the prices did not change much over the last 20 yrs.
A ST was 300 baht at that time and is about 1000 baht now, but the equivalent exchange rate for the Euro was 14 at that time but is 46 right now. Let's not forget inflation during all those years and you will end up with unchanged or even lower prices. BTW, this also proves that "overpaying" (what ever that may be, as no other guy knows what it was worth to me) did not affect the rates over the last two decades.

While one will already be happy by simply showing off with a cutie that he can't have back home, another one will be dissatisfied with a long lasting three hole session because he expected at least 2 or 3 of them.

The girls may also act differently, while acting like a dead fish when being with one guy, they may provide total GFE and great sex when being with another.

Therefore it's hard to quote a "correct" price for all. I rather tend to believe that as long as both parties are satisfied with a certain amount it's the right price.

usually those girls increase their prices if they don't like a customer. This will either distract the guy or compensate for their disgust in having sex with him.

Of course some girls don't like any customers for their very own reasons and only see them as walking ATMs. This is a legitimate approach to the business, to make as much money as fast as they can. Nothing wrong with it as nobody is forced to take those girls. It's an open market and you are free to move on to another one.

Remember, it's all a querstion of demand and supply.

hi there my wife and i have been going to thailand for about fifteen years we love the pattaya scene particularily the girls, however 2 years ago we had a very bad experience, it happened at geordies bar on second road near the dusit hotel, we had been to a couple of go go bars x-ray and classroom both places we had been to numerous times and had a great time, we jumped on a tuk tuk to go back to our hotel we were staying at the dusit, on the way back we decided to stop at geordies bar for a nightcap we had been there once before. we had one drink and as the bar was empty decided to head for home, i asked for the bill and paid it, but the girl brought two drinks on the house we thought this was very kind as this was only our second visit. half way through this drink two elderly german couples joined our table and we started chatting, my wife said she had to go to the toilet i stayed at the table talking, after about ten minutes i also needed to go to the toilet which was at the back of the bar, i went and as i came out i saw my wife was not back at the table so i shouted into the ladies asking if she was ok there was no reply so i went into the ladies toilet it was empty. i came out and went back to the table no sign of my wife anywhere, the german couples asked where she was and i said i didn't know that she wasnt in the toilet the bar girls started saying she had probably gone back to the hotel as she had looked tired, but she had left her handbag on the table, bear in mind apart from staff there was only us and the german couples in this bar. i looked around but still no sign and the girls kept saying she had gone to hotel so i grabbed her handbag jumped on a tuk tuk and asked him to take me to the dusit fortunately when i got there i asked him to wait i ran up to our room, of course my wife wasnt there so i ran back to the tuk tuk and told him to take me back to the bar which he did, on arriving back at geordies bar the german couples were just leaving, obviously by this time i was a little bit more than worried it was like being in a bad movie, the bar girls came across to me and said they had seen my wife in the next door bar with a thai lady so i ran into the next door bar two of the girls came with me and fotunately even though they tried to delay me i could easily see my wife wasnt here so went straight back out again. when i got outside i looked and there was the mamasan from geordies bar trying to get my wife onto a mototaxi, i ran up an asked what was going on she said my wife had just turned up and they had been going to take her to the hotel, i was so relieved to have her back i asked her where she had been and she said she didn't know. we jumped on a tuk tuk and went back to the hotel, when we got back to the hotel i soon realised that something wasnt right with my wife and called hotel security, they came to our room i told them what had happened and they immediately called a doctor, the doctor took us both to pattaya hospital where they did various tests on both my wife and myself, it tuned out we had both been drugged i asked why it had affected my wife more than me and it came down to body weight my wife being much smaller than myself.

police were called and the bar staff were questioned it turned out the whole bar was in on the scam they drugged our first drink and had given us a free drink to keep us there until it started to work, the first sign of this drug working is you need to [CodeWord111] as your body is trying to get rid of it, so when my wife had gone to the toilet one of the bar girls had followed her and had led my wife to a storage shed they had on wasteland at the back of this bar, they had kept her there until i left the bar then they had to wait until the two german couples had left fortunately just as they were leaving i turned back up, but even at this stage they still tried to get my wife away by luring me into the next door bar.

according to the police they had been doing this for months but my wife was only the second european they had done it to all the rest had been thai girls, we had to leave thailand two days later to return to uk and were assured by the police we would be kept informed of the outcome.

however since returning and making numerous phone calls including to the british embassy we have heard nothing.

we have since been back to asia several times but never back to pattaya which was a place up until this happened we both loved.

sorry this story has been so long but its just to warn you guys to be on your guard at all times this bar seemed perfectly safe.

Actually, the board had mentioned negotiation skills 101 several times in the past. The only problem with neg. with Go-go gals is that some will not budge on their prices until very late at nite when they realize you may be the last chance they have. Some Go-go hotties make so much from enough suckers that they are only willing to do ST and won't touch LT unless you pay their prices. Such is the current trend of the Go-go and it will only get worse in the future (years ago, this was never a problem).

It has been years since I stayed up in Pattaya after 2am, but I suggest you check in quickly and walk out to Beach Rd, and catch a taxi, ( pickup truck with seats in the back ) heading down to Walking Street. During your ride you should see what is open along Beach Rd, if nothing continue to Walking Street I'm sure you can find something there after 2am.

There will never be a consensus about what to pay these girls for their services. Some people will overpay, some will be labeled cheap Charlie for being frugal and others will/can pay only the going rate. You can post the going rate for all to see but this constant dialogue about getting everyone to pay the going rate is a waste of time, it won't happen.

Our finances are not all the same, some posters here have to beg/trick the Thais into giving them food and sleep in 300B a night hovels while others travel in business class, sleep in the five star hotels and order room service like some people order coffee. Do you think well-off mongers are concerned about how the going rate will affect others when they are negotiating with a boner in their pants? It’s good to know the rate and pay what you can afford but over paying or under paying if you can get away with it will do nothing to change the going rate in either direction, inflation will affect prices long before the big spenders will.

Soapy is found on Second Road near Soi 11 and inside Walking Street at Soi Diamond.
I fully agree the barfine of 600b and short time and long time rates are outrageous.Better go to soapy for 1600b for the same thing.At least you get 90 minutes of pleasure and feel clean afterwords.

I apologize, I had intended on suggesting a few different negotiating tactic, BUT was blind sided by a few other members. If you remember back they were trying to justify paying exurbanite amounts. Then we ended up getting in to a spirited argument about going rates.

Your approach was correct right from the get go! Stay firm with the under 2k going rate. You've also learned the correct way (be it was the hard way) to select your rental for the evenings entertainment. Now you know, and I hope others now know! Rule of thumb, 2k for 24hrs MAX that should, include barfine.

This was my whole point to the other "Pretty Women" wanna be players, YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY over 2k for any reason! I don't care how hot you think she is, if she doesn't come down to the going rate, there will be an even better one right around the corner who will take it for half that price. He who has the gold makes the rules!!!

Chalk this up as a lesson learned the hard way, BUT you have helped many others by publishing your learning curve.

I told the girl I was going - and that I'd be happy to barfine her and pay 2000bht for long-time, but no more. She started to negotiate, but I was firm - and she eventually said yes. She was extremely loving all night, seemed thrilled to get 2000bht in the morning, and asked me to please visit her again.

So, there you have it! All those outrageous asking prices I have been running away from in Pattaya go-gos were probably vacuous. Next time I'll hold firm at 1500bht. I wish this board had mentioned how this negotiation works earlier, so I could have avoided some serious mistakes.

Normal open hours to 1 am walkingstreet until 3 am

But it is Thailand, and many bars open until last customer go, mainly in walkingstreet

If you want find a nice girl even at 6 am no problem
