I have an upcoming trip at the end of October. Place of business is at the JW Marriot in Deira.
I got thinking whether would be better to stay at the Broadway which on the map seems 3x3 blocks away. How much of a drive time and taxi availability do we have for these too?
Would appreciate your help... Thanks!
Eric
PS: I haven't forgotten, just was extremely swamped with work last couple of months + Family vacation. My FR is coming soon...

Also, IF you still have your atm card, is it also a debit card? That too can work.

Cash is accepted everywhere. The only issue you will have is putting down a security deposit at hotels. At Crowne Plaza Hotel a couple of months ago, they wanted to take an imprint of my credit card as security, but I refused, and they accepted 500 DH cash deposit instead, over and above the hotel room payment (the 500 was refunded when I checked out). That was only for a day-room - if you're staying several nights, they may ask for much more on check-in - ie full payment for all nights, plus extra for 'security'.

I don't think its is a much frequented place as such; didn't see too many reports pertaining to this establishment.
The well used thread on GF hotels lists ascot as green, albeit dated ages back. Any updates, friends?
Just to clarify, I am talking about the older one, not the new Royal Ascot.
In any case, i will post my experience there later on.

Couldn't book at my usual Crown Plaza or Fairmont (fuck you GITEX!) so am staying in BF(UA)E out at Jebal Ali Hotel. Thanks, last minute trips!
My mate pulled a PRC bird last night and had no issues bringing her in. I showed up with a couple Emirates girls for some lounging by the beach and didn't get hassled either.
Is actually a pretty decent little hotel. Being way out of town makes mongering tedious and the girls tend to complain but the beach is nice and there are tons of opportunities for non-P4P action. Shockingly so, to be honest.
The unfortunate deal breaker for me which will make me avoid the place in the future is no internet in hotel rooms. Seriously, how stone age!

I am travelling to DXB during first week of Nov and have wait listed room at Capitol @ US$265 per night. Iam also trying at Broadway hotel because of 24 hr in house availability of girls. But I wish to know the status of Broadway among the residents of Dubai. Is it known basically as mongering place? ie: if I stay there will my friends or relatives suspect me as hardcore monger?
Am also planning to try Moscow hotel, but there are no report here during the last 6 months whether it is still GF? Kindly respond.
