There are five, six, count 'em, God knows how many SOHOs in BJ. All built by peasant-turned-tycoon Pan Shiyi, who puts Donald Trump to shame. At least two SOHOs host several MPs (and they rest of them probably will if they don't already do: )

- Jian Wai SOHO, opposite China World
- SOHO New Town, at Dawang Lu subway station. SOHO New Town also hosts a curious assortment of hostess clubs catering to Japanese salarymen.

Could someone please elaborate on that? Where are they to be found in HW,what's their service like and how much do they charge?

I decided to make another trip to the Sunshing Golden Top Spa Club. Had the same great sauna experience I had the first time. Went upstairs to the massage room. A girl who was not too cute came in and asked me in Chinese if I wanted a massage. I asked for the boss. The boss came in and she could speak a little English. She asked what kind of massage. I said “special massage” and she quoted me 1300 RMB! I said “no, no, last time only 400 RMB” and she said, “oh, you want an oil massage”. I then asked about the special massage, and she told me it included full service. The special massage was for 90 minutes, and included the cost of the VIP room. I asked if I could pick the girl, and she said yes. Even though it was expensive I decided to take one for the team in the name of research and opted for the special massage. The boss brought in a group of 4 girls to choose from, and she told me they all would do the special massage. The girl from my first visit was not in the lineup, but there was one cutie, so I picked her.

First thing she did was undress me, but she stayed dressed. I got on my stomach and she stated with a nice massage, and a little chit-chat in Chinese. After massaging my back she had me roll over and started doing an oil massage on my front, focusinig on my little brother who was at attention. Much to my dismay I popped very quickly. Damn – what a waste of 1300 RMB. She smiled and said “so quick” in Chinese, but in a nice, cute way. She then pointed at the condom as if to say “we were going to go all the way!”

There was still 30 minutes left on the clock, and she continued to provide a very nice body massage. After about 15 minutes she started to give my little brother more attention to see if she could wake him. Yep! Out came the condom and we had a very nice session. One interesting thing about this sauna is that the girls do not wear sexy dresses, they are all in uniforms. When they “get down to business” they just remove their panties and pull up their skirt. It gives you the feeling you are having sex with a flight attendant. I liked it, so I did not ask her to take off all her clothes, but I think she would have had I asked. I would not admit my “quickness” except I wanted to point out her willingness to complete the job rather than the one-pop-and-your-done rule.

All-in-all I would say that the sauna at the Golden Top is better, and if you are just after a HJ it is a very good value. The full service is very GFE, but more expensive and not as extensive as it is at the Chun Xiu Lu Sauna. At Chun Xiu Lu when you order the special massage you get the whole package including body slide, fire and ice, ect., but I am certain that the one-pop-and-your-done rule is in effect.

I look forward to trying out some of the other saunas that have been recently posted. As I do I will certainly post my review.

You have probably all been to KTV of one sort or another. There is standard KTV where the hostess sits with you and sings, drinks, plays dice etc.

But I wanted to share with you a non-standard KTV. Actually there are quite fun....

Great post! I just want to let you and others know that all of the games you describe are available at the KTV I have posted about near the Lido Hotel. This might be easier for those staying in the north part of the city to visit.

...I wanted to check out the 2 places I have seen before. When walking from the Regent hotel traffic lights (Jin Bao street), they are in the first alley on your right just pass the Novotel and across the Lee Garden hotel, (Think, Jin Yu Tong Wang Fujing Str.) they have neon signs, thought I check out the price at both places first but when walking in the alley I was approached by several pimps trying to sell a massage, couldn’t get rid of them and walked straight in the first decent place on the right nr massage 81, wide open doors, a long aisle in the lower level with all the rooms L & are, lot’s of girls around, so this looks safe to me.

There's an alley next to the Taiwan hotel, near the Novotel, that takes you past a foot massage place and to another alley. Turn right and go almost out to the main street. About a half-dozen doors from the end of the alley, on the right, is a BBS where I have always been able to get FS. Unfortunately, it's too close to the tourist district, so the prices are high: 800 RMB for FS, and they will probably ask for 1200. Still, I've found an 8 in there on occasions, and some good service.

Word on the Lu in Beijing is that the pre-party congress purges are taking their toll. Of the notorious expat hangouts, both the Pig and Hollywood were raided. Supposedly 40 girls arrested on various charges. (Give or take a few, reliable numbers are always hard to come by ..)

Yes I am not sure what her name was it sounded like Sarah but it could have been something different -- she was taller and not really busty but bigger built. Anyway she does not have a good attitude and she has kind of a surly or indifferent facial expression..

I personally questioned both Sarahs, and they deny any knowledge of said incident. Both stated they weren't even close to the Sheraton lately. Especially "Little Sarah" has a brandname to protect.

I always ring my mamasan in advance so I cannot vouch for your experiences.

I've been to about a dozen or so places but the 3 I tend to go back to are:

Baoshan 保山 KTV (next to Baoshan Hotel): sorry I don't know the exact address because I usually call my mamasan and she tells the taxi driver where to go. I know its in the south-west near 菜市口 within the second ring road area。 This place has the nicest selection of girls but not all of them are as good at entertaining. Takeout success rate fair but not consistent.

圣德堡 (Sheng De Bao- sorry don't know the English name but its south second or third ring road). This place has a good selection of eager girls. Takeout success rate good.

Red Dragon 红龙 (Hung Lung) KTV - again south-west near 菜市口.
Go west from the North gate of 陶然亭公园 (Tao Ran Ting Park) about 250m and its inside a side street to the South. Not easily spotted but you can see the entrance from the street. Large selection of girls but not so many 7s or 8s but all very eager to please and take out success rate high.

There are also 3 at the western end of 两广路 straddling 广安门 (Guang An Men) on either side of the West second ring road. One of them is in the Shenzhen hotel so its really easy to spot. One of them is to the West of the Shenzhen Hotel. The other is on the North Eastern side of the 广安门 (Guang An Men) .... I think it is the 广安门 (Guang An Men) Hotel but I could be mistaken because its been ages since I've been there or any of the other 2.

As I mentioned before, ask your mamasan in advance if you want takeout. Actually, I would recommend asking in advance even if you think you might because that way you can always say no later rather than get all hot and bothered only to be rejected at the end (I'm not bitter..... I just don't want anyone else to feel the hollow void that I felt, if only for those few minutes between there and the sauna ;-) ).

Now, an offer to Beijing forum readers: I read the Beijing forum with a lot of interest but must admit that my interest in the bar and pub scene is at best by proxy through the forum, ie reading about it is a far as I go mainly because with what's on offer, I don't feel like the hunt is as interesting when I could just as easily be treated like a king for the same (ok maybe slightly more) money. But I am curious to go out for a few beers at Maggies or some other happy hunting ground and would be prepared to extend the same courtesy to what I know about Beijing. If anyone is interested, let me know. We'll need to plan well in advance as I travel extensively and sometimes at very short notice.

Ok, I finally decided to go check your famous Wangjing.

Went to 417, down to the basement, there is a bar on the left. I walked all over the corridors, I saw on my right what might have looked like a bbs but kept going, further down another what looked like a bbs but kept going, I had a kick at this basement. Messing around in those narrow corridors so I didn't push any of the two the glass doors, . I noticed that actually folks live in the basement. They are a dozen of are tiny rooms.

Went back up and moved to 414, this time I went up to the building main entrance. The guard opened the door for me, I made a right turn, knocked on the bbs, the laoban was there. Welcomed me and left. 5 girls, one old covered with tattoos. I was immediately offered "sex", I smiled, said yes, how much = 300 kuais.
