You did the shopping trick the right way, the way I like to, it all depends on how your wife can handle your credit card. I have had the luck to travel always alone for business in Asia in the past but since a few years I do longer projects here and my wife likes to join me most of the time to LOS (can’t blame here, she now loves LOS and that’s my fold) so I needed some new tricks in my book to continue mongering when she travels with me.

-When you travel with your wife the first rule is, don’t stay away late night on your own, they all associate night life with sex and girls or having a affair, even more that you think, monger only in day time, and a by yourself organised (fake) business dinner is very helpful sometimes but not to often, just see that you get a alcohol smell when joining here at your room that evening.

-Whenever I have a meeting outside BK I leave early morning and try to be back in BK in the afternoon and I will have plenty of spare time to visit the mass. Parlours in a relax way and just like as you say, I walk the last mile to the hotel to get the Bangkok smell on my body and don’t look to fresh.

- Create a kind of habit like this: wherever we are around the world I go often (daily) for a massage and not only when in LOS or China, preferable on the street and not the hotel, so it’s not strange if I go out for a mass. Here on a moment when she wants to stay at the pool, I am telling here that I want to explore a new day Spa for us (giving maybe a few names), that’s fine for here, I actually go then to my favourite places like Aviva or at Soi 22 or 33. The day after I go then to the day Spa that I told here I have had explored the day before but which I actually did not visit at all.

- Stay in a hotel on Sukumvit close to your mongering area or the BTS to shorten your walking time, if you are away for 2 hours, to here it looks always like it’s half a day.

- She sometimes like to go on here own to here favourite day Spa around the corner and I go then later that day but off course not to the same one but I repeat the previous exploring trick.

- When having a day off, I go in the morning together with here (like it should be) to our regular Spa and she loves it, this make me a nice guy (think so) and it gives me the possibility to go back in the afternoon to a Korean or Japanese men only spa and that’s no problem for here, She knows that kind of Spa’s where I like to hang out, all, so called, equipped with hot and cold tub where all men walking around naked, getting a back scrub and massage by very old women or old men as she knows from staying in some other Asian hotels before, this gives me a few hours to go to Sazanka or Akane or soapy etc. It all depends on how you sell it and how she buy’s it (ok till now).

- I take here out some evenings to Soi Coboy or Nana so that she also knows (all)about BK night life and what is going on in the (one and only) bad part from BK and she knows I am never there at night, she is a pretty good looking lady and the negative part here is that she is always attracted by the nice girls and sometimes LB’s for a chat (good cover for me)

I have just been staying in BK for several weeks (like a fish in clear water without sharks LOL), I will be back in January I am sure that she will join me for a additional holiday and believe I will need desperately my " magic trick book " again,

Ride was nice only the cab driver got confused about the direction, when in sio 5 and gave a tour of soi 5, 7, 3 etc. Finally on my talk he came back to sukhumvit and I showed him the hotel. May be it was international on his part trying to take me for a sucker ride.

Perhaps not. Rice picking season is over. He was probably a rice farmer from Korat trying to earn a few baht until planting time.

There is a place in Patpong that offers what you seek. I forget the name but perhaps one of the other members of the forum can supply the name of the venue. I went once and that was one time too many. Sure they had the old hammer that no one wants to shag anymore who has denigrated to live performances on stage in Patpong. I went there to get a BJ, for I think 700 baht, whatever is the price now - I forget. To also have intercourse was only an additional 300 baht. Not cheap but a bargain by Bangkok standards. The 500 baht I mentioned in my post referred to Pattaya prices - sorry for the confusion.

While 1,000 should be the line to hold for frugal mongers in the tourist traps of Bangkok, 500 is possible even there particularly in off-hours, and of course in Chinatown and other places 300 is possible. On Sukhumvit I pretty much accept that I won't be able to get under 1,000 unless it is nine AM or some such horrible time, so I strive to bargain for bareback and anal within that price.

You mentioned a simpleton tipping 1,000 baht for a good lap-dance - I once saw that happen in a go-go in Pattaya; I felt physically ill when I saw it and depressed the rest of the night.

Being exhausted from my flight and the session, I did not take anyone from either place. However, from just watching I found the quality much, much higher at Patpong than at Cowboy. Now I noticed that everyone in this forum is always writing about Nana or Soi Cowboy, no one ever talks about Patpong. Is there a reason for this? Something wrong with Patpong?

Anyway to total expense. 235 (meter)+50 (service charge) +65 (toll)= 350. Could be easily done for less than 300 without the direction loss.

Went for walk found some, Alex club not many looker at 4:00 am. Asked Coke. Asked the price, she pointed 1 finger. I tough WTF it can't be 1 bht, must be 10 bht. The reason we don't discuss Patpong is because it's for tourists who don't know any better than to go there on their first night in BKK. Full of rip-off joints, touts, and everything is over-priced. A mear shadow of its self of its heyday during the Vietnam way and now mostly a night market for knock off goods.

Radio City Music Hall is the one exception, but it's for the Elvis and Tom Jones impersonators not to pick up girls. Although it can be done. Star of Light is ok if you like the BJ bars (which I don't). Other than these places I don't know of any other reason to go to Patpong.

I would also like to second Vino71's request for more info/reports on Patpong. It's been a couple of years since my last trip to LOS but I'll be back in April. I've been reading on this board and others about the sad state of NEP. I always liked the place, right down to the sticky beer and [CodeWord140] soaked floors, but it sounds like it's becoming less and less of a happy hunting ground. But it sounds like maybe it's time to hop the BTS down to Silom.
