Was in Cairo for two nights a month ago, and stayed at the Grand Hyatt. Very nice hotel, although the security precautions were scary and disturbing! Could see easily at least 20 men (in hotel uniforms) wandering around, and following me with their eyes at all times, which I thought would make it completely impossible to bring in a short-term girlfriend. Well I have no bloody idea! I think the taxi driver was also totally frightened although he denied it later on. Few more questions and they then let us go without any hassle. I ofcourse asked the driver to drive back to Africana! Another half an hour drive back mostly in small side streets in a very undeveloped area! What an adventure at 3:30am in the morning! I paid a few visits to a few of the massage parlors in November, and noticed that the scene has changed a lot lately.

Things at Dream were especially disappointing. First, I was surprised to learn that M**a, whom I had been seeing regularly, no longer works there, nor does petite M***r. On Ahmed Urabi Street heading in the direction of Sudan Street, just a few blocks before Sudan, look on your right for Al Andalus and Fanawees cafes. After Fanawees there is a one-story white building. Go through the alley between Fanawees and the white building and you will be on a small side street with Dana in front of you a little bit to your right. It has a sign for "Coiffeur; " just enter the hallway to the left of Dana and ring the bell of the first door you see, or knock on the glass on the street entrance.

Things appear to be very fluid these days in the world of Cairo massage parlors. Let’s keep our eyes open for new places to replace the ones that have closed or where standards have dropped. The good providers and nice looking girls must have gone somewhere, right?

Ali Velez, choosing your massage girl does not seem to be a common practice in Cairo. Sometimes you do see the girls who are waiting between sessions. I’ve seen girls in the lobby area at Dana in Mohandiseen, and at the I. C. C. M. , and in the kitchen off to the side at Dream Gym in Mohandiseen. But this doesn’t mean you can choose; on my first visit to Dana I asked for sexy Y**a (now at Style in Nasr City) who took my payment at the desk, but I was "assigned" someone else. On a recent visit to Dana I asked who was available when there were two girls there, and was given one name only instead of the option to choose between them. Good question about name abbreviations, Lost Yonder. It seems like it’s done mostly because it’s the custom of the forum.
