If they do not link to become fibers, the researchers report, the peptide segments remain inactive and do not enhance viral transmission....

Posts: 1778I found a very interesting articel about male semen being an HIV enhancer.
...More than 80 percent of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections are transmitted via sexual intercours...
...The team of German scientists had initially set out to determine if semen contained factors that inhibit the HIV infection. "We were not expecting to find an enhancer, and we were even more surprised about the strength," says report co-author Frank Kirchhoff, a virologist at the University of Ulm Clinic in Germany. "Most enhancers have maybe a two- or three-fold effect, but here the effect was amazing—more than 50-fold and, under certain conditions, more than 100,000-fold."...
...In situations where low levels of virus are transferred—as during intercourse—Kirchhoff says, SEVI can make HIV up to 100,000 times more likely to spread when compared with the virus alone...

So best not to drink tequila or other strong liquor immediately before DATY also. I am talking about risks of picking up viruses/bacteria of any type.
A study of lebsbian couples with one partner HIV positive over many years failed to find HIV transmission by DATY.
Risk is probably less than risk of normal sex protected by condoms. This doesn't mean its impossible, just extremely difficult.
Although some studies believe HIV transmission orally occurs in a low percentage, they are mainly assessing risk of receiving sperm in the mouth.
I beleive that DATY has a much lower risk than girls swallowing come juice which already has a fairly low risk.

I heard that the most common spot for genital herpes among Thai working girls is between the toes on the left foot.
Strangely enough, when mongers get it, it appears on the right foot.
