Well I don't think that it's as wide spread as evilpenevil makes out.

I didn't make out that it was widespread at all. I said a faulty understanding of the barfine system among inexperienced visitors to Pattaya was one of the factors why barowners raise prices on BFs during high season. Over Xmas and New Year's, a lot of young guys who've never been to LOS before and who haven't done much mongering visit Pattaya for the first time. Among some of them, there are individuals who believe the BF also covers the cost of the girl's services. When that happens, there's a lot of problem for the girl, the customer and the bar. A high bar fine tends to discourage that kind of punter, just as it discourages the punters who think they can charm the girl into sex without cash compensation.

It's not a widespread problem, but it's not rare, either.

Hey G2007! I've been able to do a three some with beer bar girls before in Pattaya at my own hotel room. Now be forewarned that you are usually allowed to bring one girl back to your room, but an extra charge for the second girl may cost you a little extra, so check with the hotel you are staying at for what that cost might be. Actually I have gone out to the bars with guys who believed this - basically the 'real' price is so high now that some people have a hard time believing it.

You were not clear on what you were saying... if it was ST or LT, one or two girls or what. It's really quite simple. Don't drink, and don't frequent venues that require you to drink. I have never been to ANY place, anywhere in Pattaya where I could not order a soft drink for less than 100 baht, and drink it for as long as it took me to decide which lady I would go with. But the fact is, I rarely do it now, because I have found that freelancers are better than the go go girls and beer bar girls.

Of course, if you're an alcoholic, not drinking could be difficult for you.

And no, going LT with bar girls who live at the bars is what YOU'RE talking about, not what WE'RE talking about. In my experience, freelancers generally provide better service than bar girls. Be it ST, or LT. I generally pay the freelancers 1200-1500 for LT in Pattaya.
