around this time of the year (march-april) prices go down and it's much easier to find nice accommodation for cheap rates. from april - if i'm not mistaken - low season prices apply.

My Language Skills
I have lived here four years and know 10 words. That is so sad! I am from American and so envious of Europeans that learn to speak four or five languages at an early age. It is so much easier for them to pick up the Thai language or at least enough to have a conversation. I do miss out on a lot of fun I could having being able to communicate with the girls better and understand what their laughing at all of the time. I hope it is not me! But it could be, who knows? Although, people who do speak good Thai say they hear Thais speaking bad about foreigners when they are walking around town. Since, I don’t understand Thai, I don’t know when their saying something bad about me, which is a good thing I guess.
For all you first time visitors, one of the reasons, besides the fact I am lazy and don’t want to go to school and learn which I should. You don’t need to speak Thai to have a good time. The girl’s, almost all of them speak a little English, much better than my Thai. And if they don’t speak English they get the point across in other ways that are very easy to understand, if you know what I mean?

Quiet and functional A/C, well managed and good breakfast. Perhaps the decoration is a little tired but my room was clean and the bathroom perfectly adequate.
This year I'm planning to stay a little further out near Soi Diana. Still near all the action but away from maddening crowds. Walking Street got a little OTT for me after the novelty value wore off.

To answer your question, most girls will always ask a higher fee than the normal cost, of course to make a little more money. But, if you know the normal costs all you have to do is look at them and smile and ask, “Are you sure?” Or say, “Everybody else asks for this amount.” And they will usually go down.
Now there are certain hot girls on the street that will ask for that amount, and if they are hot enough I will pay them. There are also certain bars on the street that will ask for that amount, but even if the girl is hot and the bar is asking the higher fee you can usually get them to accept the normal price.
There are a few reasons a hot girl will not accept your lower offer. She might have a regular customer that comes by at that time of day or has called her and said he is coming soon. The second reason is because she is so hot she knows in the next hour she will get somebody to pay her the higher price.
But, I most cases you can always get them down to the normal price. But, if you’re drunk and traveled half way around the world why bother about 10 or 20 buck if you like the girl.
I have lived in Pattaya fours years now and visit Soi 6 at least 3 times a week. It is getting sad know to tell you the truth when every girl on that street, and there are 1,000’s of them know you by name and what you like.
A few that have big tits I have go out and buy baby oil to do them between the tits. Now I will be walking down the street looking for a new girl and I will here one I have done before and might do that day yell out, “Bill, I already have baby oil, you not have to give me 50 baht to buy.”
