I'd be tempted in that last Nana situation you told, to just cut her loose without paying anything -- she can just walk across the street to her bar and get back onstage, so it's not like she's lost anything. But yes, then there is the social situation and also the fact that you may want to return to that bar later and be able to pick someone up there, not be labeled as the Farang from Hell. I guess the way I'd handle it also would depend on how eager she seemed in the bar. Anyway, this time I take more control and keep the pace at my own. Eventually we get to the main deal and finish up. At that point she got under the covers and turned on tv, while I relaxed next to her and then dozed off. Awhile later, maybe 45 minutes? she says ok she wants to go now. "You sleep, I go." It's about 12. Now I'm sleepy and not exactly desiring another go this second, so I say OK but you go now only 2000. She says 3000. I tell her that was if she stayed until 5 o'clock. I'm sure she ended up getting her next customer and 'made her tuition'. The compromise felt like the only one that was going to be peaceable on both sides. Any less and she would have been pissed off, any more and I would have been.

Now the problem with a girl like this one is that if it's 10pm and you want LT, she knows she can finish you in less than 2 hrs at 2000baht ST (or in my case, 4 minutes), and then get another customer after you for 2000ST again, or even for 3000-4000 for LT. So it's absolutely not in her economic interest to do LT at 10pm. Of course she has to be pretty sure she can get the next customer if she goes back, and I'd say for this one that would be a pretty safe bet. She looked much more like a Japanese girl than a Thai. So in my situation, after we'd done it the first time, now she was looking at having to stick around my hotel for 4-6 more hours for just 1000 baht more, missing out on lots more money to be made back at her bar. Not going to happen. And I can't really blame her. If that mini-mam hadn't jumped in (forcing a deal on us that was more favorable to me than the girl wanted to give), I might have been able to work out a good deal with her -- for less than LT but longer than ST, which may have worked. Then again, it may have been inevitable that she would have pulled that move after the first go.

...1550 baht is a lot to pay there, remember not to be sucked into this us mindset.
...i will not pay more that 5-700 for a hotel anywhere in thailand, and for that i expect a clean room with tv, fridge, shower, and ac.
money is earned, and should not be given away just because we want to feel like were "traveling" and "enjoying" ourselves.
you will be respected more for not throwing your money around, rather than a fool to cheat/and rip-off.

oh by the way you guys will be happy to know that nan (see photo galllery) stayed in my room all night for 1000 baht, and i tapped her multiple times. i had several all nighters for 1000b, and this was not so long ago.

unless you visit during xmas, there is no point in booking a place for more than the first night. there are some nice places for b500-700 per night, just shop around soi dianna inn / soi bokhao.

fls are happy to get your b1000 and no bf; and beer bars b1000 + b200-300 bf. i've been with many talents for b1000. if the girl is a real talent i would stay with her for more than one night.

if i want her to stay during the day (which they would be happy to do and you wouldn't be restricted to night time sex only), the deal is that you have to cover her expenses during the day (food, drinks, etc). some would ask for a dress /shoes - this is not a must.

fls can be found in all the clubs (luzifer, tony's, tony's 2, etc). the better you look and the later it is, the less you will have to pay. wgs from beer bars etc go to these places after around 1-2am, when their bar closes.

my last visit in pattaya was nov-dec 07, so not so long ago. this was high season (even though not peak season, which is around xmas).

around this time of the year (march-april) prices go down and it's much easier to find nice accommodation for cheap rates. from april - if i'm not mistaken - low season prices apply.

Answering to myself as you guys do not talk to strangers... Weather is about same. I do not notice difference in amount of people. Walking Street still growded. Same lady on my bedside third day. Seem not to get rid off her; probably even want to. If that would happen, I still would appropriate pointers. Now when with her, I also could use hints for tourist activities. I have lived here four years and know 10 words. That is so sad! I am from American and so envious of Europeans that learn to speak four or five languages at an early age. It is so much easier for them to pick up the Thai language or at least enough to have a conversation.
