    Sandy Spring Free Wireless

I dropped in to Sandy Spring a few days ago to check out the rooms. Great location but to me they were a bit tired for the price. Plenty of new places opening up with specials.

They are offering free wireless though for the next few months which makes it more attractive.

I am talking about spending 1000thb/day on the room only not for the whole day and fun. I would be willing to spend almost 3000-5000 on me per day other than the room. When i was refering to 1000thb/day that mean about only room rent my friend. Not the food, drinks, fun and bar scene. Well i just found another new hotel other than RGI as its far(though cheap) but this one i found is Charging 1200 Bath for a superior room in SIO 13 named something like Inn House. What are your comments regarding that?

    Info Guys! Need advices

    Dear My All Expert Friends.

I must say you guys really know hell alot about Thailand than I do. I am in my mid twenties love partying and fucking asian chicks I went to Thailand in 2005 and blew out my pockets (like almost 25, 000$) more than I would have in Amsterdam or Vegas. There was too much ripping and the girls were too sticky and I was a stupid throwing money on them where as I never got the services for the money. Well as the days passed over as I went there for about nearly 38 days. I started learning and learnt how to survive there and protect my pocket. Would you imagine I didn't even go to those soapies to have a massage and wasted all my money in the Go Gos. Well now I have to ask my expert friends here on this forum about what do and what not to do. Or I should say Do's and don't's. Let me tell you the scenario. I ll be hitting Pattaya by end of July. Last time I stayed in Bangkok for a week and then moved to Pattaya (which seemed to be the cheapest place for having fun). But this time I am gonna hit staight to Pattaya from airport. I just studied this forum in detail and found out some girlfriendly hotels in Thailand. I chose the Roof Garden Inn finally keeping the price, value for money, and girfriendliness in mind. I don't want to spend more than 1000baht/day and this hotel is something near 800(with broadband and safe in the room) this time where as I used to spend more than 5000 las time. So first I would like an advice on this guest house cum hotel "roof garden inn" it seems a little away from bar scene. Is it ok and easy to reach from there to the nightlife and are baht busses, motorcycle taxis cheap and easy to find from there? I would like if its peacefull and noise free but easy to get to the walking street and the sois. Secondly I would be interested in recomendations from you guys on the Sios and Walkingstreet. What is the best option for a longtime girl action (My longtime is no more than 24-48hrs). Freelancers in the beer gardens? Girls from the walking street or Girls from Sios and if from sio's which is the best soi. I would like to consider the value for money and the services the girls provide and learn from your experiences (if Sios matter in this aspect) And as I love drinking. Let me know the best bars which cheap rates for good liqour/beer.

    Thanks,

    Sam

    Whitehouse Soi 13

I just returned from 5 fabulous days in Pattaya. Stayed at the Whitehouse in Soi 13. Clean fairly new building. This was my third stay here. 1250 Baths including breakfast. Only problem is the building is sandwiched between The Dynasty on one side and some apartments on the other so you need to keep curtains closed if you want some privacy.

I like the Soi 13 location because is quite and yet an easy walk to Walking Street to the south and Soi 8 to the north.

It would be better to reserve a room for one night, then spend a couple of hours on your day of arrival walking into a few hotels and doing a little negotiating. You can get free maps/Pattaya guides everywhere in town.

    Mercure vs LK Metropol

    John the Scott.,

Thanks for the info but for a frame of reference can anyone tell me if the distance to second street is the same or longer from the LK Metropol vs the Mercure?... The Lk was quite a walk to get to second road not to mention no side walk as you get closer to Second road LOL…
The Mercure amenities look great vs. Pattaya bay resort. I guess I would be will to spend a little more for a more upscale furnishings LOL….
    Any advice from the experts?

I was also looking at the whole slew of sun series of hotel LOL..
    Sunshine Residences/Hotel Pattaya Soi 8
    Sunshine Vista Hotel Soi 3
    Sunbeam Hotel Soi 7
    And even this apartment:
    Imperial Residence Beach Road
Looking for a place that’s decent, at least 3 starts, convenient location and not too noisy. Getting a little older LOL need my sleep for my next day of mongering LOL..
What does the pattaya expert think of my selections?
Oh may try the Mercure and or the LK new hotel.. but would rather we close to or in the middle of things ie in between beach road and second road or close to walking street.

    Mercure

Stayed in Mercure 4 different trips now and so have a few friends and never had any problems bringing a girl back in the afternoon or evening though in the evening she did have to register with security at the entrance. Couple of girls had to in the aftrenoon too. I always make sure I book a double room so maybe that was why it was ok?

My concern is this: Does it matter which end of Central Pattaya I make my base camp? Soi 1 begins on the north end and Soi 15 is on the south side toward Jomtien Bay. Based on this map, should i focus in between Soi 6 and Soi 13?

I've also read a few good reviews on Pattaya Bay Resort. The hotel's website is a little mis-leading as it says the location is on Soi 15...but the map shows it much more north. Is it possible to get from this location to say Soi 6 in under 10 minutes by way of taxi or tuk tuk?

And just out of curiosity, if you wanted towalk from Soi 6 to Soi 13 along Beach or Second road, how long would it take?
    Busterbrown 73,

It will only take 5 mins to get to soi 6 by tuk tuk from this hotel or from Second Road and maybe 20 - 25 mins walking along beach road. BUT it will be a bloody hot, sweaty walk! I suggest along the way you stop off at Tahitian Queen on Beach Road for a refreshing, cold, draught beverage and enjoy the lovely girls dancing there in the middle of the hot afternoon heat. Great place to get a lovely ST gogo girl (crap at night though).

    AliasDonkey,

I've stayed many times in the Mercure (which is very nice, 100% GF but a bit overpriced at B2000), which is very near Pattay Bay Resort. It is only a 5 minute walk to Second Road and from that corner maybe just over 5 mins to get to the end of walking street. Not far at all. In fact it's a lot closer to the action than the hotels in Soi 8 for example. The hotel has a tuk tuk which runs constantly back and forth from the hotel to walking street anyway (as does the Mercure). From there you can jump on a baht bus to the lower sois if you dont fancy the 5 minute walk to walking street.

    Cheers,

    Aisawan on Wong Amat Beach

Does anybody have any experience of this place? I know it is a little way north of the main beach area but this may suit me. Is it girlfriendly?
