Surin big-sex story

As usual, I took out a "super luxurious" room at the Tong Tarin Hotel in Surin. Well, the hotel itself is nice enough, the room is passable but what matters is the action inside. It all follows below.

Is it worth all the fuss about them? It seems to me that "us" the sex-tourists are the only ones who look at them for what they really are: Mere recepticles of our own decaying internal discharges. Does this deserve all the madness about them? We could all have as many as we ever wanted IF we "men" could just unite for this single, noble purpose and put down the fights among us. Our fighting is what makes us slaves. (I know you knew that.)

So, there was plenty on my little mind while setting out to discover "the sex in Surin". Now you know the reason. Simply, justice and pride.

Surin Thailand 2008

1. / General

Surin, located just another few hours busride from Khorat (180kms/3-4 hrs, see separate posting) is another lovely Isaan town with friendly locals and reasonable sex-action. Lacking the crowds and madness of Pattaya and Bangkok, indeed it will keep a dedicated sex-tourist interested for a couple of days.

And of course the keyword is "Cultural Sextourism" here. So many interesting things to do while in the region and sex only being as the way to keep ourselves free from female slavery. If you are full, they cannot control you any more. No surprise, that's why they hate sex-tourists so much. We refuse to serve them and refuse to fight each other for them. Sex-tourists do love peace. That's what we love.

2. / Travel

Surin railway station is right in the city center with some connections to Bangkok, Khorat and Ubonracahatani. While services are not particularly frequent, the short run to Ubon is particularly convenient, taking just 2 hours by express diesel car. The bus station is also nearby and central. However Surin does not have many convenient bus services to anywhere, except to Khorat. There are a few departures but rather infrequent and timetables are only verbal by station staff. If you can find them.

3. / Accomodation, food, miscellaneous issues

The cheapest hotel is possibly the old one right in front of the train station, 200B rooms. Some pricier but more quality ones with swimming pool just a short walk away, near the bus terminal, 800B and up. Plus a lot more hotels inside town, just a bit further. While locating food during the day is easiest near the railway. A bit further away, the Surin nightmarket is great in the evenings. Varied, cheap and delicious. What's more, there are two of them. Surin is worth a visit just for the food!

*** Elephants ***

While most people associate this town with elephants, it is unlikely you will come across any in the city during most of the year. One good time to see them is the annual Elephant Festival, however hotel prices increase three times and still all booked out this time. Regarding safety, you will notice the unusual high number of stray, dirty wagrants and drunks (male and female). Especially near the railway. Not really so many but still shows the powerty of the area. Yet, most of the time Surin is okay like any Thai city.

*** Farang ***

If you desire to meet other farangs (why would you? But just in case), there is a lively local cafe/bar population of them, mostly concentrated to a couple of restaurants near the bus station. You might even be surprised how many. Despite of this, there is a general strange feeling in Surin (indeed a strange feeling), as actual communication between Thais and westerners is very little. Thais will assume that you speak zero Thai and keep using hand signs all the time. When you see farang mixing with Thai is is mostly when one lone westerner man entertaining about 10-12 Thais (his extended family? ) in some restaurant. Apart from this, there is quite a bit of hustling from taxis everywhere. Sometimes it feels like Cambodia. (But really not that bad. No Khmers around, luckily.)

4. / Surin Nightlife and Puss-puss

Account of one particular visit: It is easy to find tuktuks in Surin near the train station, just about any time. This is a smallish town and transport prices moderate. We agreed in 40B to look around, 40 to come back and 40 for waiting. After taking a few turns we drove towards Buriram, on #226 Hwy.

*** 280 B hookers ***

On one side there is a large entertainment place with live music, called "Kenjan" pub (sign only in Thai). Right opposite on the other side of the road is a small block of about 4-5 brothels (some open, others closed). Action starts quite late here, like 8-9pm. Mamasan seemed surprised by the farang at the first one. However price still just 280B, even for farang, no overcharging. I believe this must be the actual local price. Quality nothing to brag about, so I went to look at the others. Same-same. Finally found one younger looking chick for 400B.

The scene is more interesting than the fuck. Just being there and experiencing it is the thrill. And everybody is so nice. After this, returning to the train, I went to take a look at Surin's only soapie, the famous "Rozkwin". (More general info bits about soapies in BKK/Massage parlours section, posting on 1. 9. 08).

*** Soapie Action ***

Being attached to the large Tong Tarin Hotel. They have one fishbowl with the display inside 3 women on the left for 1000B, three women on the right for 1300B, some young pretty chickens on the outside for 1700B. These looked allright. I picked a very tall, slim wearing some striped blue dress. Quite attractive. Papasan walking over to her and discussing something. After then returning to me and saying that this one costs 1900B! I just left it at that. Already had my fun for the day, anyway. (As I said, it is not just the sex, but the feeling of not being slave to women and seeing them sold for cash).

At the cheap brothels, the quality is not much worse as Soi Yoksad in Pattaya. But you don't have to chat with them (but you can if you want). Just point and pay. I wasn't hungry any more, so I said to the nice papasan boss- "It is not important. " and left. Interesting night anyway. And the night food market was a total winner. Surin is okay, just a nice, relaxing town. But it also has some things to do at night too. Worth having a look.

I used the phrase I have used for years in Isaan. They don't seem to understand smoke, this being used mainly in Pattaya and Bangkok.

Its a problem that there is no Thai dictionary specially for sex talk.
I guess we could use these phrases:
"smoking" a P4P girls' euphemism
tham aw-ran (do oral)
awm (to suck while in the mouth, e.g. a lolly).
chai bpaak (use the mouth)

Maybe not these:
doot (to suck - this one not commonly used but is used for vacuum cleaners).
joop (to suck in with the mouth but I haven't heard this word used sexually)
So "joop hooy" means to slurp in an oyster (rather than pussy).
bpao (to blow with the mouth - doesn't seem to be used - it probably is only used for blowing air)

Udon Thani Ain't bad guys!.

Having spent a couple of days at the Ton Koon Hotel, the staff were friendly. I would recommend this place to just about anyone. I'll go out on a limb and say that I am Black-American so, I definitely stuck out like a sore thumb and honestly I did feel somewhat uneasy.

The Karaoke girls?. I can honestly say that when they sing, hardly no one listens!.

I had a good massage from a 28 year old Thai-Lao girl who had the sweetest voice that would make a gay man go straight!. Location is off to the left and the sign is in green so, ya can't miss it.

Have you guys in Mr Tongs bar? Very popular with freelancers.The location is just right across the street from Robinsons/Chareonsri Center. I'd recommend it! Had a cute little spinner who never been with a black guy. Let just say she went home a *very* happy woman!.

Re Buriram:

Each and every Isaan three holer makes her money in BKK, Patts or down South. Your chances of finding the one that stayed behind are slim at best.

The Buriram RWS girls offer good solid bonks and and some wrap around lips, but that's about it. Bring B200 (or B300 if you're a stranger to them).

There are a few places on the road that runs West from the clock tower. Continue until after the bend in the road (it goes left after a while) and stroll on. Said places are then on your left before you get to the traffic lights. Better not expect too much in terms of, ehhhr, anything.

Same with the girls across the driveway between the hotel and karaoke/massage building. Some very lovely young women work at both places. Happy ending oil massages are available for a price you must negotiate with each girl, and a whole slew of girls to pick from off the tiered seating downstairs. Rooms are private and comfortable.

The lady singers in the main dining room are also very friendly, but I do not know if they are players. Smile, waai, and joke with them (the entire staff) and they will appreciate your presence. If you have time, somehow travel to Ban Dung northeast (I believe) of Udon Thani. Stay at the Modern Ban Dung Resort........karaoke and some very lovely "singers" there.
